When asked if I wanted help, I explicitly told the staff member I was browsing and would ask for help when needed. She proceeded to lurk behind me all around the store. When I would stop to look at something she would run up and start talking to me. I tried to politely show that I wanted to be left alone to browse by saying "thank you" and walking away, but this didn't work either.

I wanted to continue browsing, but ended up leaving because of this.

They took advantage of me because I am disabled and I couldn't afford very much. I ordered a bed and mattress and two days before delivery, I discovered that the bed was delayed for a week. So I asked for a replacement and I told the salesman that it had to be high platform because I have arthritis in my knees and I need something high. They sent me a low platform bed with no headboard. I'm not happy about it. I was taken advantage of because I'm disabled.

Never buy the Warranty on Furniture from the Brick store

I bought my furniture from the Brick store on 17th June 2018 from the Brick store in Surrey Central, Surrey, BC. I also purchased a 5-year warranty on it for $379.99. I checked with their store Customer Service team 3 times in 2023 (since Jan till May 2023) whether I get back my warranty money if I do not make any claim till it’s expiry in June 2023. Each time I was told that I could buy any furniture worth $400 from their store and they can apply the warranty credits towards that purchase within the 3 months window from the expiry of the warranty (17th June 2023 to 17th Sep 2023). On 10th Sep 2023, when I visited their store and asked for those credits. The Customer Service rep checked on her system and told me that my plan didn’t qualify for the warranty credits as I bought my furniture prior to the start of this offer on 01 July 2018. This was very shocking to me, and I spoke with the store manager on duty, and he told me the same thing. He further told me that if I buy new furniture worth $2500-$3,000, he may make adjustment of those credits. I replied to him that I do not need any new furniture and just wanted to get my warranty credits back as promised by his reps this year prior to the warranty expiry. He refused that and said that the customer service reps who gave me the wrong info were all hired in the past 1-2 years and may not know the policy fully. I replied that this is totally unacceptable as they’re supposed to know the store policy fully before giving assurance to their clients. Else, they could have replied that they’ll check and confirm. I felt terrible at the denial of a promise made to me. He asked me to talk to his Head Office.
I then did an online chat with the Brick H. O.on 12th Sep 2023 and they also told me the same policy. I then filed an official complaint with them, and they issued me a ticket number for my complaint. The store manager called me after 5 days and told me that the only thing that he could do for me was to adjust the warranty credits towards a big new purchase from his store. I mentioned to him the representative’s name (who promised me the warranty credits) and he told me that that person would call me. After I spoke with that rep, and he completely denied that such conversation/ promise. He further told me that he’ll speak with his manager and get back to me. He neither called me back nor responded to my voice mail and messages left for him. This has been a terrible Customer Service experience to me, and I would recommend everyone Not to buy any warranty on the Brick furniture store. They are a bunch of liars who just know how to make profits from the sale and do not care about their customers’ concern.

It's very hard to relocate and settle in a new country. Shopping at The Brick with the Sales Associate Shivanshu made this transition easy and seemless. I purchased my furniture from Surrey central brick and was servised by sales person Sukhwinder. The purchase was for our first home and was a very emotional and important decision, Sukhwinder took such good care of us and very effectively cater to our requirements and suggested the best options available on our budget. He also took care of the bookings and deliveries. The best part of his service was the after sales follow up. Highly recommend this brick. Thank you so much. BIG 5 STARS FOR SUKHWINDER.

Bought office chairs and one of them decided to collapse. Bought warranty and its of no use. Was suppose to get response in 3 days and its been over a month no reply yet. Store won’t help as they are asking us to contact customer service.

My bedroom suite I purchased cannot be put together and I am receiving absolutely zero help. I have a warranty which is absolutely useless because customer service refuses to help. I now have a bedroom suite but no bed frame so they have asked me to just throw the mattress on the floor while they figure out what to do.

Bad Attitude of Management

I and my husband wanted to buy a sofa and bed for our new house. So we just gave a try to The brick at Surrey central location. When we went there and told our requirements, the sales person handled it in a good way. We finalized the order and standing in a line on the counter of customer service in order to know about delivery dates.

First of all they don't have enough staff at the counter. Most of them were looking newly hired staff. A lady came outside from her cabin, may be she was a supervisor or manager, started giving commands to employees how to do this or that. We were surprised to see that how she was speaking in a rude way to everyone instead of handling customers politely. Earlier, I have never seen a company promoting such kind of ill-treatment.

Second, they were talking in their regional language. An awkward situation for us. It was looking like they don't care about their customers. We both left the place without making any purchase. "What if we get any problem with our products, this kind of treatment will be given to us in future. " Seriously, there management needs to learn basic ethics and etiquettes of customer dealing. Later, we went to another company's store, made the purchase.

I would never recommend anyone after witnessing such kind of behavior in management. Really never seen a rude person like her in my life.

Management should be aware that using a third party delivery service is a direct reflection of the Brick and is also part of the buying experience. The delivery service they use is rude and disrespectful of customer’s property.

Do not purchase the bricks extended warranty it’s actually a scam. I was sold it because I have a toddler they list all these things it covers… it doesn’t cover ANYTHING. They will justify the warranty by saying they provided a home cleaning kit (hilarious) 400.00 for a at home cleaning kit? Please steer away from their little pitch it’s all a lie. I was told with having a toddler this would be a beneficial warranty to get so I did and now that I actually need assistance they’re not providing me with any. They are scam artists and this should be fraud.

Yes they have lots of furniture but I do not like that there is a sales person following you around. I would rather ask for help when I need it. This Brick store was bad for that and made me leave

It was a pleasant experience. I bought a whole bedroom set,
Rajat the salesman was extremely helpful, Rabia, (very nice) one of the woman working in the office, helped me greatly making phone calls to the warehouse, once in a while, and, most of the pieces of furniture came earlier. It depends what you buy, some furniture arrive quicker, some other furniture is being kept in some warehouse in British Columbia,
Also, every time I visited the store to learn more about the
shipment of my furniture, I was always greeted cheerfully,
by other staff members, every person working in the office,
was friendly and, made me feel good, treated me with respect.

An excellent experience. The sales rep was helpful and patient with me as I lay for an extended period on different mattresses. It has been several weeks now and I am loving my new mattress so far and I feel that got a fair deal on the price.

Sukhwinder went above and beyond our expectations when we went for buying a washer dryer combo for our guest suite! He explained each and every detail about various brands and types and made us clearly understand before we inked the purchase papers. Great guy and great store! Always! Sabah Yousuf was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when assisting us with our purchase of our new reclining sofa. We not only saved money but because of Sabah, we also saved a lot of time and effort in searching for what we wanted. He really was a pleasure to deal with and he gave us the time to talk about and ultimately decide that the sofa we chose actually exceeded what we had expected to get for the price point. Like a lot of other reviews this place is full of lies and then when trying to cancel the order because shipping is delayed, and now it's been over a month, they keep avoiding by telling us to call back to talk to the sales person. When we called 2,3rd times, they avoided our calls. When called the 4th time, the sales person as well as the manager said they won't cancel the order and go to the nearest Brick instead. WT!? ! Total wasting my time and provoking customers purposely. I was going to buy a different product instead but forget it, never again from this store. Stay away from this store!

I have been to many brick stores at different locations. My worst experience was at Brick Surrey where I visited for the first time recently. The senior sales person, i wont take the name, was too rude. They need to respect customers, their views and help them make a decision and not force them and get angry on them if they still havent decided between the products. I hope they read this comment and help improve customer experience.

Update: My daughter called The Brick to discuss the treatment her Grandmother received and their tune had changed that the packaging wasn’t the issue, yet that’s all they focused on when speaking to my Mom. They said they would take the chair back and charged a 20% restocking fee to come off the refund. It has all been dealt with now.
Original review: My elderly mother just purchased a recliner chair and it was delivered yesterday. She is not satisfied with the chair (too difficult for her to put stool part down), so she called to setup up for a refund or even an exchange. The manager told her they couldn’t do anything because she doesn’t have the original packaging. The delivery company who delivered and assembled the chair took the packaging with them so how could a customer possibly return the product. And the store is refusing to do anything about it. What a ripoff.

I went in to The Brick for a mattress warranty reselect. The sales reps don’t get commission on that I don’t think. But our sales rep Sukwinder was awesome. He took the time to help us pick the right mattress and made my granddaughter feel involved in picking out her new mattress. He was respectful, courteous and well informed about the product we eventually chose. Thank you Sukhwinder for your professionalism. Kudos to you.

I dealt with Mr Satpal at brick store and he was very helpful and answered all my questions concerning my need of buying 2 beds. I believe he had my interest at heart and found the best product for me at a good price. We were provided excellent customer service. All responses were prompt and professional. I just made a big move of my life. Just moved to the island with my whole family. We bought a new house so was looking for the new furniture, mostly all of it. The plan was to buy everything new. And also wanted everything to be delivered before we move. Got hold of one of the best sales rep name Oscar Bevli in the brick Surrey central store. He’s such an amazing guy. He’s responsive, efficient and an honest guy who helped me with all my needs and requests. Oscar not only helped me in choosing the best furniture for my place but also at a very good price. Amazing service. Everything was delivered on time and in prefect condition. Thank you Oscar for the outstanding service.
