Went to The Brick searching to purchase a sectional. Sales people were hovering around us the entire time, and although they were nice, it felt a little bit forced. My partner and I ended up not finding anything we liked as the prices were extremely unreasonable. My family member, however, liked a sofa which they ended up purchasing, however upon delivery the sofa had a very strong smell of chemicals on it. My family member complained but customer support informed her that this is normal and that the smell will dissipate over time. Neither I or my family member have ever experienced this when purchasing furniture before. Delivery time was from 8am to 5pm and very inflexible. They also pushed very hard for my family member to purchase insurance.

We bought furniture for our house from Brick and we're quite satisfied with the service. Great customer service from Mahnoosh who helped us to claim the warranty on one of the couch. I never thought that claiming warranties can be that easy but Mahnoosh helped us throughout the process.

I did not see a liar more than one leaf. The most expensive mattress that was discounted. We bought it. The employee there, who was Iranian, was looking for a good mattress because of my back pain. This mattress was recommended to us. After some time, I noticed that my back pain has worsened and the mattress has become a little hollow, even though we went to Brick every time we take a shower and I said please change your mattress. The Iranian lady either lied or told the truth, they won't change it at all. If they said they would change it on the first day and how many years of warranty it has, we don't know what to do now. I wish we didn't buy from Brick and had bought from Slip Country because unlike Brick they keep their promises. Does the manager in this store work honestly? I bought a mattress for back pain relief, not just for looks. So, take your false guarantee and be honest with people

I made a corporate purchase and requested a specific date. On July 2nd, I got a call from the delivery people saying they were at my home; I guess I'm not; I was at work here, as I always am. The driver told me to call asap to the store I did, no answer, I called seven more times no response. Finally, I had to call the West Vancouver location and speak to the manager there. He told me he would take my order and ensure it was at my place on Tuesday as promised. Today I got a call saying it can't come until Wednesday; I took the day off on Tuesday. I have an important day at work on Wednesday, and then I go back into doubles until Sunday. The manager starts to laugh at my situation. This issue is funny to him, he says he can't help. I have now been ping pinged between sites and people from corporate regarding this issue. AVOID THE BRICK

I had called recently about a credit on my account that had been cancelled. I spoke to a lady named Linda Masi who was over the top in helping me figure out what happened to my credit. She was so efficient and understanding about my situation she called back and corrected things in a matter of an hour. If I could give it a zero rating I certainly would. Paid extra for warranty and purchased "Canadian made sofas" that are completely ripped apart. Haven't heard back from any repair or had sofas picked up as they had planned. Will never shop here again they do NOT stick to their words and rip people off!

I wanted to say thank you to Armann who helped me on Sept 21st. I went into the store on United Blvd to do some serious shopping of a bed, as I needed to finally improve my back and neck health and sleep hygiene. I looked around at the models and was hoping to find help but found 2 ladies on their phones. As I walked by, I heard one of the ladies talking about personal issues. Unfortunately, nobody asked me if I needed assistance. I finally approached a young gentleman named Armaan and he asked a few questions about my needs and showed me some bed models. I appreciated his authenticity and honesty. As I came close to choosing between 2 models, he quickly (without me asking) looked up shipping dates and advised that one of the models can be shipped this week while the other one may take months. I appreciated him looking into that right away. He also explained very well about mattress firmness and mattress protectors. He then took his time setting up monthly installments for me. I very much appreciated that someone helped me and gave me personal attention at a time when I really needed support!

I wish I could rate my experience as 0 stars.

I’m not one to typically write reviews, and especially make it public but I feel the need to share after our experience this year with The Brick here in BC. As a tenured senior leader in customer service I am so disappointed in this organization.

My husband and I purchased 5 Fridgidaire Gallery matching kitchen appliances back in August of last year for our new kitchen. Due to supply chain challenges, we didn’t receive all of them until February, which we had to continue to follow up to find out when they’d arrive. Our fridge/freezer and dishwasher began having issues and our fridge completely stopped working at the beginning of July. Just in time for us to welcome our first baby. Continuous email disconnect, poor communication, zero compassion, and zero empathy from The Brick. Not to mention the thousands of dollars in frozen food thrown out, and premade meals gone prior to us having a baby and the ridiculous amount of take out we’ve had to purchase for all meals for two people, plus formula against our plan for feeding our child exclusively. Over $4000 across the 3 months, (more than what our fridge cost)

After almost 3 months with “no inventory” or a resolution -we were finally advised by a Senior Manager named Sylvia that The Brick would give us a credit back for our fridge and they would honour a 4 year service plan as a service gesture or that we could wait until our fridge was back in stock. We entertained the idea of getting a fridge (due to the above mentioned immediate need for a fridge) so visited The Brick on United Blvd in Coquitlam.

Not only did they have a poor selection, it seems they are selling off old dirty returned fridges in the store. In a pandemic where cleanliness has been non negotiable, this additionally is unfortunate. We opted as a result of the poor selection and to our dismay of this Frigidaire product at The Brick, to wait for our now conveniently in stock fridge.

After providing our decision, Sylvia let us know that the Brick would only now be offering us a discount on the 4 year warranty rather than the aforementioned gesture. Not even an apology or a we appreciate your patience comment. Disappointed again. Some compassion and empathy would’ve gone along way had it been provided to us considering the circumstances of our exclusively breastfed child. Coming from someone in senior leadership, I can tell you after the thousands of dollars we spent and our current and future business is not appreciated here and there is no leadership taking our situation seriously. I hope others will read this and think twice about spending their hard earned money here.

I've been dealing with the brick for over 12 years but and I've delt with people that didn't care about their job. I've be dealing with Julie for the last year and made many purchases through her and I've recommended people to her that we all had nothing but positive things to say about her. She cares about about her clients and goes over and beyond. I highly recommend her to anyone she everything you want in sales person.

It was finally time for a new bedroom suite for one of our children and furniture shopping is not something we look forward to. We went to this store as it's close to use and the saleswoman, Julie, showed us what was available, gave us a great price, and let us try a few of the mattresses out. Her service was great and she spent extra time to help us get our limit increased on our Brick card too to cover the purchase. It was a great experience, and not something we often see in a furniture store, so thank you.

Went back to the Brick after 10 year of saying I wouldn't due to past bad experience. Happy to say it was worse than last time and even had my wife swearing as we left. Literally had my credit card in hand completing the sale when clerk said we couldn't have that price as sale started next day. Said come back then.said I drove a ways to get here.nothing. Would have bought and came back on the weekend. Sales associates seemed to almost avoid us so weird sales environment seeing as I come from that background.

Terrible customer service. We bought a sofa which was blue in the store, and received it as a dark grey. We spent more than 5 hours in the store to convict them about returning although we bought something more more more expensive than that sofa from them.

Don’t shop here worst customer service! The worst ever experience you could expect I paid for my order last year in July 2020 I paid over $30,000 for my order in full as they requested and still waiting for my fridge 1 year later hearing all the excuses you can think of I called 4 times in the last 10 days to speak to Darcy and get no phone call back just she will call u back she’s busy and they take my message after a full year of frustration I called to talk to the store manager Taylor 5 times leaving messages and same again incompetent and expect the same No Phone call! If managers have no time to call a frustrated Customer expect no help from anyone. How afraid can you be to talk to me? They are just ignoring me after taking my money! I do not recommend to deal with this company as I don’t care how busy you are you can’t return a call. This poor level of service has given me no option but I will be contacting my lawyer to discuss my options further And will post update.

I bought 3K worth of furniture and i assemble all of them except one Show piece table which had 4 page of instructions and i took to the store and request to assemble it for me so i can take but the denied the services and keep telling me that i can do it but i told them i can't it's so complicated but they didn't listen to me and keep forcing me to take it back. I was still willing to take back but to be assemble but they were not. When i bought they told its easy to assemble but its not very poor customer service make sure you have their words on written otherwise they sell the item later they denied to serve you. Its one time place to shop i will not go there and still regretting for my other purchases. Be careful.

Ordered a stove more than a month ago. They changed delivery time 3 times. We are already paying for it. Above all they called us to offer a brand that never heard off to replace our Samsung stove. They promised us delivery March 7, then March 17, then March 22. I’ll keep you posted

I would not recommend this location at all. We purchased a couch and love seat 4 years ago. We did not receive quality items. We have had to have them fixed under warranty 4 times and I am calling for a 5th time. I have had to call multiple times and leave multiple messages just to get someone to call me back. The level of customer service (or lack there of) is appalling. We currently have exposed wires in one couch rendering the reclining ability useless and now we are using our loveseat and it's probably going to be needing a repair as well. I wouldn't purchase here unless you were never going to use the furniture. I wouldnt bother asking for a manager to call to help sort out any issues either as they just won't call you back.

I bought a table with its chairs, they sent a different one than the one I payed for. When I called they said they where out of stock, but promise to change it as soon as they got it, it's been a month, they have changed the table, but I still don't have my chairs.

The furniture we bought were nice but I didn’t like that the company doesn’t have a return policy. Sometimes we buy furniture and it doesn’t look the way we imagined. I think the company should have a return policy.

Also, I paid for delivery and they assembled the couch but not the table.

Update:

Just had a terrible experience with The Brick. I bought a dinner table with chairs. The salesperson said the chairs would be available for pickup (not for delivery because they didn’t have in stock and I paid for delivery!) mid February. They called two weeks later saying end of February. Today they called again and said end of April. How am I supposed to use the table with no chairs?

I went to the store and a lady from the customer service said there’s nothing she could do if the shipment is late. She also asked where we were from. When we said brazil, she said that’s why I’m “feisty”!

I’m so shocked and disappointed.

The brick has not only a terrible customer service but also is racist!

I purchased a sofa set from the Brick.

All furniture stores have sofas. But what makes one place like the Brick special are the staff who work here. They are always a notch above all the other furniture places, especially when it comes down to making a customer have a good buying experience.

Today, there were two special people at the Brick who helped my purchase a pleasant experience.

Fred Khorrami.

I bought the sofa set mostly because of the professional service from Fred Khorrami. He was extremely professional in the way he dealt with my needs. People like him make the Brick feel like home.

Mana (a Persian lady).

Then there was another person on the floor, a lady. Her name was Mana. Mana was an elegant lady, and was smart and tried all kinds of ways to make my purchase as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

It was one of the best shopping experience we had so far and we were happy to have Qais as our sale associate. He was exceptionally good at bringing up the versatility of the products and went out of his way to ensure we picked up exactly what we were looking for. I bought a sectional sofa from Brick. Unfortunately they couldn't pass my Building's hallway to get in to my apartment.
Luckily I got help from the salesperson GULSHAN. Finally I got another one even better than the last one.

Nice place. Even though Leon's was giving me a better deal on the mattress I bought. I preferred to buy it from this location because I liked the service the sales person gave us.
