Saw a metal show here. Small space and good sound which is fantastic for a loud heavy band. Sound is wayyyyy better than the rickshaw.

The venue was good, great view of the stage and washrooms were clean. The drinks were reasonable, but limited selection. My main gripe is absolutely no chairs/nowhere to sit. This is extremely hard on older folks/differently abled people. I'm young, but I have scoliosis so standing without a break for hours destroyed my back and feet. There is room to put some short tables and chairs off to the side, or a couple of couches. People need reprieve from standing.

Horrible live sound, overpriced drinks
User to come here daily in the early 2000s when it was run by wendy13, decided to give it a chance again in recent years and every time I go the sound is sooooo bad. Can't hear singers or guitar at all, just a wall of bass and you can hear the sound board is clipping like crazy. Essentially a lazy sound op who set limiters and walked away. Totally ruined the show for me both times.
Not worth going to for a band you actually care about.

It was my first time at this venue for the Lana Del Rey dance party and this was by far my best night out experience. Nicest staff members ever, the security guard and bartenders were really friendly! Looking forward to other events at this venue

I’ve never felt more discriminated in my live. Lots of white people getting in without a ticket. I was holding a ticket and there never let me in because is was “full”, but I was never to get in.

Nicely remodeled, clean washrooms! For the most recent show I went to, there were no chairs, so keep that in mind when going. The PA system is good but distorts if the person working the soundboard decides to crank it up. I would say in general it's the band's fault because either the bass or the guitar is too loud on stage. The local beers they serve are reasonably priced for a club. A large IPA was $9.12 oz cans of beer/cider were less.

I have never heard of nor seen the Cobalt Cabaret until last weekend.
When I saw the Girlfriends and Boyfriends along with Spell hitting the stage. In this Very cozy dive bar with good sound. Just make sure you load up on water. It gets really hot in there during shows.

WHAT A DINKY LITTLE VENUE!
I LOVE IT!
It's a small bar in a basement with a tiny stage, but I love these small bars as much as I love places like the Commodore. Bar selection was rather bare bones but I heard they recently reopened so that may be why.

Wow! It's amazing what they have done with the place! Gone are the days of shoes suctioning to sticky floors, washrooms with no locking doors and being afraid to touch anything.
They have completely renovated while still keeping the layout we know and love, and keeping the vibe alive with great live music on stage.
The washrooms are now very pleasant to be in, updated and clean, and every stall is floor to ceiling privacy! I don't get stuck to the floor and its super duper fun times!
