One of the best improv shows I have ever been to. I was snorting I was laughing so hard. Great people, great energy. Amazing time.

Absolutely the best 90 minutes in Vancouver. Insanely talented and hilarious crew! They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Best part you can either participate or you can simply sit back and enjoy the show! Best to come hungry because the food is only second to the service! You will not be disappointed! We are looking forward to our next visit! Thanks again for the great time!

The best date night in town! You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in the door, and it really sets the tone for the whole night. We laughed until our faces hurt. The comedians were SOOO good. We will be back and we're already looking forward to it!

Whenever I go to great improv I always wonder why I don’t go more often. These Vancouver legends put on a fantastic show. I’ll be back soon. Also, the venue at The Park Pub is a perfect setting; cozy, welcoming and full service. Drinks, good eats and a great laugh. Great way to spend an evening with friends.

Thank you for a wonderful and hilarious evening! The Comedy Department served up a trio of improv by Denise, Michael and Nathan that was truly a night to remember. The venue was intimate and engaging with an audience experience you expect from improv. With an underground comedy club vibe the laughs kept coming from start to finish. The West End has a new hidden jem this summer so come out on Thursday nights and catch the show.

The Comedy Department was fantastic! You get to watch the improvisors create hilarious scenes right before your eyes. They are so quick-witted and tuned in to each other that you feel totally immersed in their storytelling process. They are kind, too, and inclusive. It really is a truly fun night out.

I laughed and laughed - they made me laugh really hard. Just when I told them I couldn't laugh anymore, they made me laugh again. There was a moment where the laugh was painful and I clutched my chest in a moment of sheer terror - but then they made me laugh even harder. Looking back it was a roller coaster ride but I'd do it again. 5 stars

Cabaret improv comedy is back! The best improvisers in Vancouver's West End could be the best in the world on any given night. Great skills, edgy scenes, awkward laughs, great room, and good food, make for two hours well spent in a Thursday night. Michael Teigen is cartoon-character wacky, Denise Jones is a fearless force, Nathan Clark takes subtle Canadian sarcasm to a new level and Brian Anderson is just weird and wild and wonderful in all the right ways. Collectively these pros have about a hundred years of comedy under their belts, and it shows. Guaranteed laughs. Don't miss it, they are the best in the business!

I had the pleasure of managing a theatre where these legends of improv in Vancouver performed for many years.

It is so great to see them back after the pandemic in a new beautiful room with suprisingly amazing food and endless roll on the floor comedy from a variety of improvisers who have graced stages and screens around the world.

One hilarious improviser even donated a kidney to me. Seriously, these folks pull out all the stops to make sure you leave with a smile.

At 8pm on Thursday nights in Vancouver there's nowhere else to be but Park Pub watching The Comedy Department. You won't be disappointed.

What a thrill to rediscover the Improv Comedy legends that I missed so much during the pandemic. When I couldn't find any familiar faces at Granville Island, I was wondering where all my favourite improvisors had gone, and they re-emerged in the most fantastic venue. This intimate room in the West-End location is the perfect venue for Improv, and the quality of the entertainment never disappoints. My standing outing on Thursday Nights!

When I got the invite to go into the downtown's west end, to see some improv at the Park Pub, I jumped at it! Not only because, like so many of us, I was starved for some laughs, but mostly because of the quality people behind and in front of the Comedy Department. Great talent, wonderful people. Terrific show!
I learned, the group had wanted to do shows in this venue for a very long time and it's obvious why. It's perfect for improv. It's intimate. 'with levels Jerry'. I'll be back tomorrow night, Thursday Night Improv.

We had a night filled with laughter. Great show by this group of very talented improvising experts! They did a little improv about my family and it had me rolling on the floor! Great setting in a separate room at the back of the Park Pub. Like a little speakeasy! Highly recommend it if you want a little joy in your life!
