The professional bootfitting experience here is second to none. Staff spend considerable 1: 1 time with you working on all aspect of your boot to create a fit that is just right for you. Shout out to Lucas for going on a journey with me to create the perfect fit.

The level of personalized customer service from knowledgeable staff for a full fitting is the thing of legends are made of.

Not only have I had multiple positive experiences here buying skis and other gear, but now I had an incredible experience dealing with a manufacturer regarding a warranty claim. The Destination contacted the manufacturer on my behalf and within 48 hours, had managed to get my skis replaced! They prioritized getting my bindings set up, were extremely friendly and truly seemed to care. I will forever be buying all my gear here! Excellence in every way!

I made an appointment for boot fitting at 4pm. The store was busy when I arrived at 4pm. I can see all the people there are busy. I was informed that they are behind their schedule and I need to wait.
I can see the staff were trying very hard to help every customer the best they can. Ski boots can be tricky sometimes. I can understand why I need to wait.
Finally it was my turn, Paul helped me. He was very knowledgeable about ski boots. I am so happy my boots fit me again.

Every step of the process in getting properly fitted for ski boots was top notch. I dealt with the owner, he and the staff were very easy to work with and they went above and beyond getting me into boots that actually fit. Thank you very much D slope!

We live in the US and visit Vancouver every winter to ski for a decade now. The skis always come from The Destination. This place is the best and very knowledgeable.

This year we also bought a ski boot fitted by Paul. He really put a lot of effort in getting the right book customized my feet. I did not know boots could be this good when properly fitted.

Sadly every time I have visited this place, they are rude and inattentive. If you are not there to purchase big ticket items such as skis or boots, forget about getting any help or being welcomed here. I have experienced this attitude several times now, and it has become so bad that when I actually did need to purchase skis this season, I decided to avoid this place. The only good experience I have had was with a boot fitter a few years back. Take your business elsewhere, where they actually care about customers.

If you did not buy your boots from them they wont book you for an appointment. Such a waste of time

Lucas was my boot fitter. My first new boots in decades. I still have to go back to pick bindings to pair with my skis and boots. Appreciate the knowledge and experience rendered while getting fitted.

Right after having an awful experience with another ski shop in North Vancouver and writing a honestly truly review about that shop employees, (take a look to my previous review) one of my best friends (a well known ski instructor in North Vancouver) call me, he saw my review about them in my Facebook page, he recommended this shop to me.
I went there yesterday at a very busy evening time, I got help from a very young gentleman, he call another gentleman (Paul) who’s know how to order a CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance) discount package for ski instructors, he ask me about the package (ski+bindings) check the website for availability, and got my information, fill the form for ski binding mounting, and I paid, that’s it. Finish in les than 15 minutes. But the other store made a disaster for doing this.
I really appreciate the shop employees for what they did for me.
I really recommended this shop, I’m a local and I always support locals, but knowledgeable and polite people not rude people.

Lucas was my bootfitter, I've been skiing for 45 years and that was the best fitting experience ever. Super helpful and knowledgeable and I have difficult feet to fit. Thank you!

Friendly, Flexible and Reasonable. An affordable way to get ski gear. There's a reason we've been renting from them for 10 plus years.

Overall poor experience. Visited Destination outfitters to rent a pair of skis/boots/poles. Upon arrival, no employees inquired into our reasons for standing around the ski area, fitting area, etc - including after making eye contact with a number of them as they stood together fitting a pair of bindings. Upon asking where we would inquire about renting skis, we were told to go to the front. Once there, we stood in line for ~10 minutes until one of the employees saw the large, slow moving line and brought us the simple form that was required to be filled out prior to being fitted for a rental. Upon filling out the form, we received service quickly. However, during the fitting the employee asked "how do the boots fit". My girlfriend, having little ski experience (hence why we are renting), asked: "what is supposed to fit.tightness, toes, movement? " The response was a unhelpful and underwhelming "everything". As a rental shop, assisting individuals in determining the proper fit should not be an act that is difficult to achieve or outside the scope of your employment. Subsequent to the substantially sub-par fitting, we waited another ~30 minutes (both for the binding to be adjusted and due to the cashier disappearing in an attempt to up-sell a customer).

The long waits and lack of assistance are all issues that would not normally cause me to write a review. However, lack of any insight into how a ski boot should fit is unacceptable for a ski rental store. I would recommend waiting in the line-up at your local ski hill instead of renting from here.

We had a great experience renting skis/boots for our two kids and their three cousins. We arrived just before closing on a very busy Saturday. They were very friendly and patient. Even though they must have been exhausted at the end of a long day, they took their time fitting each child with the right size boots. We didn’t feel rushed and it was apparent the staff was very experienced and knowledgeable.
We highly recommend anyone who is renting to come here. We avoided long rental lineups at Cypress the following day.

Another long story short, went I finally got the clerk’s attention, about five minutes in, he did a fantastic job to make me feel like a total idiot. He couldn’t care less and simply dismissed my question by telling me that he wouldn’t have any time to assist me since the store was closing in the next half hour. Not the kind of service I was expecting from a shop that claims top of the line gear.

The last couple of 1 star reviews on here are ridiculous, and their own fault.

Great place to get all your ski and snowboard needs. Prices are amazing and the staff are top notch and very nice. Will be back when friends and family come to visit and need gear. Only place I would recommend.

I bought a pair of ski boots and their custom fitting rocks. But expect to spare at least an hour for initial purchase as they are extremely busy during high season. Better to go before season starts.

Long story short, I picked and paid for some skis and bindings, and they decided to change my order without permission.

I picked out some skis and bindings. My dad offered to pick them up from me. When he came in they weren't ready. Instead of give him a time frame, they asked him if I really wanted the high end bindings I'd chosen. He said no, and picked out some cheaper gear.

They ignored the fact that I had ordered them and I was paying for them. (Yes, I realize my relationship with my dad is a huge problem here.) This is horribly sexist behaviour in an industry already plagued by prejudice.

I only found out once they were mounted. At the time, I was too timid to complain. Now I am stuck with bindings I genuinely hate, and am saving up to replace the entire set of skis.
