Very unfortunate, they have been missing it lately. Their used to be the go to "ginger with milk" does not taste like it used to be, and others have been very bland. These is second separate occasion before posting. Hope it gets better. Really like the people and its rare with some old fashioned canton "sugar water"

The food quality is average. The fat guy is very polite, the service is first-rate, and he is very warm-hearted.

UPDATE: We came back for a second night in a row because we cannot find anything like this establishment around Richmond or in NYC. We ordered the ginger milk, gui ling gao and taro sago with coconut milk. Everything was delicious as expected. Every person should have 1.5 portions. Order three dishes for every two people.

We ordered the sesame paste with the sesame balls, the traditional gui ling gao with osmanthus honey and the ginger milk. Everything was superb and we will be back again this weekend!

There are no mango pieces in Yangzhi Manna! Just sago, mango juice and grapefruit meat! Disappointment!

Came back again recently for some dessert and snacks. My friend ordered the noodle soup and when she received it, we were all shocked to see it was instant noodles. The menu was very misleading. It should have specified that type of noodles you would be paying for. The desserts were good.

Always busy! But the wait times are worth it. The dessert they offer are authentic cantonese dessert and taste authentic. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. The milk ginger is my favorite. I already tried this location few times and ill still go back.

Good Cantonese desserts. We drive across town just to have some. The place is always bumping.

Honestly. I think this place is overrated. Here's why:

-Very PRICY for the PORTION sizes they give you which are SMALL. Don't plan on sharing.
-You aren't allowed to share anyways because they require every person at each table to order something.
-The taste of the dessert leaves a lot to be desired. They are not very sweet and a little BLAND tasting.
-They advertise a free dessert on a minimum order of $15, but it's just a basic bean bowl dessert, however, it's free so no complaints there really.
-They don't have forks? You operate a restaurant with no forks, really? You only have the option for chopsticks, spoons or those flimsy wooden sticks.
-This one is a MAJOR RED FLAG: we asked for extra sauce, they accidentally gave us the wrong sauce, walked away, and then decided to come back and asked to take it back to replace it, which is extremely unsanitary considering they already placed it down on our table. We didn't touch it, but it does make you wonder, if this mistake happened at someone else's table who could've tampered with the food and the staff takes it back, are they throwing it away or reusing it or giving it to someone else? This to me is a SERIOUS health risk. I don't understand why they couldn't just leave it as it's only sauce, so my guess is they're probably reusing it.

This is the best Hong Kong style dessert I tried in greater Vancouver, egg pudding was smooth and tasty, the walnut paste was flavourful as well. Above average Chinese standard service. Extra discount for take out too.

Extremely nice homemade dessert shop. The price is roughly $7.95 a person because most of the desserts are priced that way. It comes with their homemade and house Lychee Black Tea that can be purchased when dine in. The aroma is super fragrant and unlike the cheap tea found in other places. There's a large selection and different kinds of traditional desserts. The orange peel red bean soup 陈皮红豆汤 (A1) only $3.95 (orange peel is not physically in it but it's subtlely there, so delicious that I originally forgot to take a pic). We had their signature sesame balls 芝麻糊加芝麻汤圆 (A19) and the freshly grounded sesame were superb without any starch. And we also had the Prach sap black and white cherry 桃胶黑白凉粉 (D6) and it doesn't taste sweet. I never knew that tree sap can be used this way; and both colors of jelly has different textures and taste; all emboweled in creamy diluted milk. The only problem is parking but there's residential parking everywhere and the entire street is filled with other cool places.

A Traditional Cantonese Dessert spot that has stayed true to its roots without any modern adaptations, which is rare nowadays. I would definitely recommend the Ginger Milk Pudding and Mango Pomelo Sago.

My Order:
~ Ginger Milk Pudding
~ Mango Pomelo Sago
~ Sago with Coconut Milk+ Mango
~ Taro Sago Coconut Milk + Mini Taro Mochi

Easy line signup. Great service. Delicious. My friend didn’t finish her dessert and they cared enough to ask if there was anything wrong with the dish. That was refreshing and shows they take pride in their dishes.

I ordered ginger milk, it was terrible and overpriced! Milk didn't solidify, ginger overpowered the milk which made it taste very bitter. I tried to finish it but couldn't, it was disgusting.

Went here for almost last orders. So we had to do takeaways orders. But it’s amazing too. Very authentic Cantonese style dessert. Don’t feel over sugar level at all.

This place recently opened so I'll give some suggestions.

The black glutinous rice with coconut milk had too much milk and too little rice.

The ginger milk pudding did not thicken properly. They should make it in the kitchen instead of pouring it out at the table.

The black sesame paste was good.

Service is good.

Not impressed with their pricing. The Sesame paste is listed as 5.25 so imagine my surprise when they charged me 5.75 - apparently the Chinese menu days it's 5.75. I also asked for a takeout on a second item and was charged an extra 25 cents without being told about it. Too bad about the "surprise" extra costs. Transparent pricing would go so much further with improving the customer experience. I will give the second star because the server apologized, but he should have honoured the English listed price (especially because English is the official language). Size-wise, at least the sesame paste was decent: the bowl was pretty full. Unfortunately the sesame pudding was very bland, so at 5.75 definitely not worth it. The ambience is not bad - neat Chinese style tables and stools. The AC is also good on a hot day. The server says that they'll try to do better. But due to the bad taste in my mouth from the nasty price surprises and the bland sesame pudding, there are so many other places that I won't be giving them a second chance.

Great Chinese dessert place in the neighborhood! Tastes great! Good portion to the price. Good balance in the taste and flavor of the dessert. Not too sweet, it's just right. Fresh too! Friendly service!

Bowls were kinda small for the price. Also the quality seemed just ok. I feel like I could buy some instant powdered version that taste similar. My friend described it like a bubble tea. The snacks we tried, not that it was bad but not worth what they were charging.
