The Fixx Cafe

Melanie, I have been enjoying the evenings at The Fixx over the past several years. I had not been to the restaurant for a couple of years and then returned a few times over the past several months. The return visits were anything but a disappointment, the food quality, the casual atmosphere and the great service provided by your team - most notably Kate. I'd give you 10 stars if I could. Kate was awesome, as always. I booked a couple of dinner meetings over the last two weeks, one with a pair who are long-time customers at our shop and one was a meal with one of our team members. Thanks for making every visit a great one at your restaurant. Cheers!

Had a lovely experience here! Amazing service and the food was most enjoyable. A really wonderful spot! Don’t let the name trick you into thinking it’s a casual place to grab a coffee and a sandwich. The food and ambiance is definitely well suited for a delicious meal out on a date or to catch up with friends. It is definitely on the more expensive side so be aware of that however it’s well worth the cost!

A small and intimate place serving delicious pastas and seafood. We stopped in for dinner after driving in from Vancouver and found the ladies friendly and welcoming.

The Bruschetta is awesome. The bread was fresh and I liked the added touch of balsamic with the tomatoes. I really enjoyed the West Coast Scallops Linguine. It was chock full of ingredients like bacon, mushrooms and peas.

The Steelhead was just a bit over-cooked but accompanying lobster tail was very tasty.

We were too full for dessert but the key lime pie sounded nice!

Expensive like anywhere in Kelowna but low value. Ex: 3 med scallops appetizer for $25 is pushing it. Food was average compared to similar places in town.

Amazing food - as always. Our server Shaylynn (sp?) was definitely the highlight. As always a great, intimate dinner!

Wonderful place to grab a bite to eat! After making the big drive from Edmonton to Kelowna and helping unbox after a big move this meal was spectacular! Our server Victoria was personable and friendly; you could tell she genuinely enjoyed talking with customers which is so refreshing and welcomed. Thanks again for the hospitality we will for sure be back again!

I was slightly disappointed being seated at a small table when I had been told I would have a booth reserved for my party of two. If told in advance, I would have made my reservation for a later date.

This place has one of the best pastas in town! Chicken Marsala tastes super delicious every time I come here! If you haven’t you must try it! I also recommend the escargot with mushrooms, soooo good

West Coast Scallops dish was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, scallops and pasta also cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed each dish, wait staff were excellent. Recommended for sure!

Delicious food and great service. Didn’t have a reservation but even as we sat outside we were given a heater and blankets. The menu was very focused. Apps, salads and pastas. Three waitresses were always within reach and we didn’t have to wait long for any request. So tasty. Recommend and will certainly return soon.

OutSTANDING service, perfectly delicious food… drink…atmosphere…you have try the key lime pie. If you have any hesitation, just go in.

I ordered the Andalusian Duck Breast 35 and Marsala 30 (order was for take away)
The duck was under cooked, there was no pan sear. The only seasoning on it was from the red sauce they give you to pour on top. Also, the duck breast seemed to be quite small. Then there was a few shriveled veg thrown into the container with it.
The pasta dish was much better, the only issue with it is that the chicken was not seasoned.
The staff that I interacted with while ordering and picking up my order were very friendly and nice to talk with.
I only had a five minute drive from their cafe to my flat.

Amazing service, great portions and the taste sooooo good. We were a group of 5 walking in late, they managed to fit us in and my son loved everything.

I had the Penne Mediterranean and I think it may have ruined any other pasta for my trip.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here Friday night! The mussels with Italian sausage were the perfect beginning for sharing. Lobster linguine specials were a hit, as was my curry penne dish with prawns and chicken breast. No room for dessert this time
Servers were very friendly and efficient. Only slight snag is finding your way into the cafe…. Bike rack in middle of path and no direction with patio in full swing
Would return next trip to Kelowna for sure

Be sure to check the menu and the prices before going. There weren’t too many choices and we had seafood pasta. Food was okay but ended up paying $160 for 4 pasta and a single drink (excluding tips). I found the pricing to be on the high side.

The service was excellent and very entertaining. The food was good but not amazing. We had a lobster fettuccine and a scallop fettuccine. We were definitely full leaving there.

I wouldn't recommend a friend to go here if they were in town for a weekend.

This was a highlight of our short stay in Kelowna. Despite the overall cost being a bit on the expensive side, the portions were very sizeable and the quality was impeccable. I would 100% go again. We ordered the Spinach and Beet Salad (full) for $22, the California Pasta for $32 (?) and the Mediterranean for $28 (?). I recall these being the prices but I should note they are different from the menu on the website so please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it's cheaper on the website than what we paid during our June visit. I think my mother and I would have been fine sharing 1 pasta and a half salad, the sizes were so big! The flavour of all dishes was delicious and mouthwateringly good haha. The salad had excellent depth of flavour, the gorgonzola cream sauce on the Mediterranean pasta was done delicately so that the blue cheese flavour did not overwhelm the dish, and the curry sauce on the California Pasta was surpringly delicious and a great twist on a standard pasta dish. The bread ($7 for a half serving?) was also tasty, but I wish I could have only had the nutty bread.that was the best one. I also wish we hadn't had to pay for bread but oh well. The only negative thing about this meal was the chicken breast that came with both pasta dishes. Sadly, I think this was overcooked just a slight bit. I wish it had been juicier!

All in all, amazing meal, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic food and service. And the prices weren't out of line. Had the Catch of the Day which was halibut and it was cooled perfectly. Pasta dishes at the table looked excellent. Would give a 5 star review but their wine list is lacking. BYOB.

Awesome lunch. Great service. Quick meals. The Usual Suspects Penne is delicious, rich flavour and tiny spicy. Exactly how I like it! Alfredo is yummy and creamy garlicky. Perfect. Can’t beat the salad, Spinach & Golden Beat. It’s a huge plate even just the half order we had!

We hadn't been in a long.decided to take our friends who are visiting. Still amazing food and excellent service its one of our favorite places.

I had an amazing meal, so did the group of people I went with. We all got different meals; steaks, pastas and salads.

I will add my praise to all the others. This will be one our special places to return to often. Nice Bistro ambience and exceptional service even when there was a delay between courses. The 2 different seafood pastas we had were perfect. The desert special, key lime pie, was not as richly tart as one would get in Key West but good nonetheless. I reserved by phone a week in advance.

I think this is what heaven tastes like The food was beyond my expectations! The venue is lovely and wheelchair friendly. Ensure to have a reservation!

First time I’ve had scallops this perfectly done. Great char and not at all rubbery.

This place really lives up to the great reviews. Pasta is 10/10 rich and delicious, every meat is perfect both in texture and taste. And the mushrooms, oh my the mushrooms.

(Also side note service is great. Friendly, not too extra and in your face, and quite attentive. Give this place a visit you won’t regret it)

The Fixx is on the ground floor of a commercial building in a grocery store plaza & is not highly visible from the street but well worth the effort to search out. I recommend you make a reservation early, there is limited seating inside and the patio isn't open on chilly or wet days. The menu is not overwhelming but tBhere is has something for every taste. The soups are delicious and made from scratch. I had Tuscan Bruschetta & the Lamb Kafta, both made in-house from scratch as well. Both were outstanding & I will have both again.

Amazing food and service. The chef 'Amit' cooked our meals to perfection. The halibut poached lobster rissotto was delicious (catch of the day). Thank you!

Food was great and service was very good from the only server. A little pricey and very noisey with traffic and landscaper noises at lunch time. Likely not going to return.

Absolutely the best place to go to. The aromas from the kitchen will have your taste buds and mouth watering in no time at all. Made from scratch pasta. And their seafood/fish chowder is heavenly. Definitely a god to place, and a place to go back to again & again. Well Done Wade & Melanie & Team

Food and service were great. Make sure to have reservations. Skipped the Appies had dessert instead, well worth it.

Food was just absolutely excellent. Spot on! Definitely would recommend this establishment to anybody. Quality ingredients, nice staff, and a beautiful atmosphere. The soup, the appies, the entrees and the drinks were all amazing. I had the West Coast Scallops. It was so good. I highly highly recommend this place!

I have lived in Kelowna for 24 years and I did not know what Fixx Cafe was until 2 years ago. Don't allow yourself to be confusd by the name, Fixx Cafe is much more than a convenient stop for lunch on the go. In my opinion, the team at Fixx has created one of the best restaurants in Kelowna. Everything I have eaten at this restaurant has blown me away with its depth of flavor and excellent use of local ingredients, all at a comptetive price point. While the restaurant is on the smaller side, they have created an intimate, welcoming environment perfect for romantic dates and family meals alike. I look foward to my next meal here and I would encourage anyone to try it for themselves!

This is a small, cozy, local restaurant that offers excellent food and friendly staff. We always enjoy our meals and are never disappointed by the quality of the food. This is my favourite Grill by a long shot so I am somewhat bias. I still highly recommend it! Great piped in music! Definitely will be back!
