Took my injectors to the Garage shop for cleaning, drop them off one morning and was ready on the same day! The results were night and day, big huge difference! Recommend this shop for your injectors service!

I have been going to these guys for a year now (at least) and they are awesome. They clearly go over your car and send a very easy to understand review of all the areas on your car and if there is anything to be worried about and how severe that concern is. They are patient with answering questions and help create car care plans.
My only complaint? They gave back my car and the radio was set to. Country! Fiends!

Very thorough inspection on first visit and good no pressure plan was given for maintenance. You get what you pay for. Nice surprise car was cleaned as well!

First time in the The Garage for us has been a pleasant experience. We purchased a winter car - an economy model, 1998 Toyota Tercel. The team at the garage went over the car looking for mechanical and safety issues and seem confident and enthusiastic working on this older vehicle. They have recommended taking care of the most urgent issues initially (tires and engine mounts for example) and drive for a while - get to know the car better before plowing too much money into it. Sound professional advice.

JJ even took care of some interior cosmetics and a couple of burnt out light bulbs - off the shop clock. Thank you. It makes a difference. We look forward to a reliable and long-term relationship with The Garage team.

After being unhappy with my local dealerships garage I decided to go with an independent mechanics shop and I should have done it years ago! Their attention to detail and the thoroughness of their inspection and reports are second to none. We discussed how I use the vehicle, what I want out of it and for how long, out of that they created a repair plan and gave me real information on what to expect while I own my SUV. If you want clear diagnostics on your vehicle, this is the place to be!

Went to mister transmission for a check engine light as they work with my warranty company. They informed me they were unable to help me as they did not have the supplies on hand they needed and sent me down the street to The Garage.

Jeff was a real amazing guy. Came out with the supplies and had me on my way. Thumbs up to both mister transmission and The garage

The Garage has really amazing customer service. Jeff and JJ were great to communicate with, and Kevin was great with the repair. Jeff also walked me through all the options for my car repairs, offering a thorough explanation for each option, allowing me to make an informed decision. This was helpful along with the diagnostic report they offer. They were able to find a pretty major issue other mechanics had looked over. Would definitely recommend bringing your car here for general maintenance and repairs!

AMAZING SERVICE! I went to this shop off of a friend's recommendation and left feeling excited and confident about my car! I was getting my provincial inspection done and they went above and beyond what other shops had provided. The Garage walked me through the inspection process, provided me a report with pictures of the condition of my car (which was super cool), and even reached out to an auto body shop to get me a quote for repairs I needed in order to pass my inspection. When I picked the car up it was even washed + vacuumed and felt like brand new! I highly recommend this place! Jeffery, Kevin + team definitely deliver! Thanks you guys!

Jeffery provided exceptional customer service! He took the time out of his busy schedule to run me through each of the requirements, costs and procedures. Super helpful and left me feeling very confident with my choices. I was also very impressed with the assessment platform that they utilized as it provided photos and detailed explanations as to why the repair was needed. My brother has taken his car to The Garage in the past and always had a good experience. Last year I bought a Chevy El Camino and earlier this year I had run into some issues with how it was running, so my brother let me know that they were more than capable of working on classic cars as well as modern ones.

Last week I took it in and talked out all my issues with Jeff and Kevin. They were very informative and friendly. They also found more issues with the car that I wasnt aware of that I'm glad they found so they wouldn't become more serious later on. The car is running great now, just in time for summer.

The whole process was very informative and I learned more about how old cars worked. They also encouraged me to ask any questions if I ever felt curious about how to take care of my car. I look forward to my next visit.

I was very happy with a thorough inspection of my vehicle including numberous photos of the condition of various parts and notes about maintenance that may be needed coming up. There was a delay due to issues with filing my inspection with the government computer system but I was very happy with how they were transparent with the issue with me and how I was dealt with through the whole process.

Top notch service, knowledge, and tooling.

These passionate people make it their mission to keep the love of your car alive. They provide good education and great maintainance packages to keep your vehicle running strong long term.

They've shown me it's more economical as well as environmentally friendly to buy what you love and keep it in good shape, which is completely the opposite of a dealership's mentality of replacing the whole car when it breaks. They also like to fix things right the first time, which is a refreshing experience to say the least.

There's a reason they have clients from all over greater Vancouver with vehicles ranging from 100 years old to brand new. I seriously recommend checking them out and finding out why for yourself!

I recently went to the garage for the first time with my new Subaru crosstrek for its regular service. The quality of service was amazing and they were able to provide some great information on how to best maintain my vehicle for many years to come. With no pressure on up selling specific services and having an honest mechanic keeping an eye out for any work I can claim under my warranty, I will definitely be going here from now on.

Despite knowing it was overpriced, I gladly sprung for the more extensive option, an "in-depth" pre-purchase inspection at over $300 because I wanted the peace of mind. Soon after, I bought the car. On the first drive owning it, I used the climate controls to switch off the air recirculation function. The cabin of the vehicle filled with exhaust fumes and I had to roll down the window. I ended up finding the exhaust leak soon after when I looked under the vehicle and could see a large leak of fumes coming from a pipe connection near the front of the vehicle. I contacted The Garage to report this and knowing that I live on Vancouver Island, the best they would offer is a free diagnosis, not a repair. It didn't need a diagnosis, that was an empty offer. It would be unreasonable for me to pay ~200 in ferries to get there when the alternative that I offered was to send photographs which clearly showed the long term carbon build up and the missing nut (how did that get missed). The solution I was requesting was a refund/ partial refund. I was told by Jonathan Woo that Jeffery Tremblay would call me. After two months of not having my calls returned from Jeffrey Tremblay, he eventually responded by email to say I was out of luck, they wouldn’t do anything.

The following issue was not addressed with the shop because it took longer to be investigated. That said, it clearly demonstrates their level of competence and unfortunately, it's a more significant example. TWO weeks from the purchase date, the check engine light came on. I had the code read and it was a misfire. Due to a student budget, I took some time to get to the bottom of it. I did the more affordable and simple possibilities myself (spark plugs and coil packs) but still spent a lot of time and money doing that.

The misfire persisted and I brought it to a mechanic. The culprit: BURNT EXHAUST VALVES! The engine was shot and needed a rebuild. I was standing next to him when he measured the valve clearances, there was no doubt about it. To top it off, during the rebuild the mechanic found numerous additional leaks coming from a flex joint in the exhaust from a section in the engine bay.

As they say, best for last? Prior to buying the car, I was discussing with Jonathan Woo what the "in-depth" $300+ dollar pre-purchase inspection would include. I asked if they could do a Leak-Down Test on the engine. To my surprise, he responded in an agitated manner and questioned why I wanted that test done. His reaction was very bewildering to me. I mention something about compression etc. He replied that the mechanics will be able to determine that when they test drive. I didn't know better. Well as luck would have it, a Leak-Down Test would have identified the burnt valves and I wouldn't have had to spend $4000 on an engine rebuild.

All that said, this experience left me with this impression of The Garage: They're negligent (possibly incompetent?), and they lack accountability. They cost me a lot of money and headache. Take your business to someone that deserves it.

I did write this review a long time after the fact. Life is busy and I had moved on, but part of me felt a responsibility to share my experience so that the next consumer might avoid a similar thing.

The vehicle was hardly modified. It had a section of aftermarket exhaust (not the leaking part).

As we've discussed before, there is little good in a $150 credit when I would need to spend almost $200 and a day of travel to use the credit. I requested a more appropriate option, a refund, and you declined. This is much less about the lack of accountability, and more about the lack in service.

I sure hope your technicians don't need a crystal ball to at least find the obvious exhaust leaks that I described. Since you bring it up, though, maybe they would have more success trying a "magic wand or crystal ball" in the future.

I would recommend the garage to everyone. They did excellent work on my 89 vanagon which is very hard to find a qualified mechanic for. Friendly honest staff that love cars and have a legit passion for them. All of the immediate problems were addressed and they even compiled a list of things that will need to be done in the future or that I can do myself. If there was a sixth star they would’ve gotten that from me in this rating.

If I could give a 10 star rating, I would. I'm beyond words with gratitude for the superior service I received yesterday.

My 2009 Hyundai Elantra is at about 155K km and I thought it's glory days were long gone. I've taken it in for routine servicing whenever needed at the dealership, and also for oil changes at a different place in Burnaby I was recommended. I accepted that my car just didn't drive as smoothly anymore but I was determined to let things play out and try to keep it as long as it would still drive me safely from point A to B.

Fastforward to yesterday when I picked up my vehicle. It was cleaned sooooo well, looks brand new on the outside, was vacuumed, and the dashboard was wiped down with so much care. Not a spec of dust in sight. I was already excited to drive my car, and honestly it felt like it was brand new from the dealer! It drove so smoothly and I could tell 100% that the utmost care was put into my vehicle. I felt like my car finally got treated like it was special, not just another service for a potentially unmotivated or overly busy crew.

At the Garage they put so much care into it that I felt the love while I was driving. Even down to the link with photos of the work done on my car and ratings for everything recommended, the cool poker chips for referrals, and the typed out next service sticker with an inspirational message that makes me smile when I look at it. They care so much about providing amazing service, and I trust them completely.

I just can't say enough about how thankful I am for the unbelievable service and honestly will never go to another mechanic again. Thank you thank you thank you!

Quick, pro, thorough, honest. Family-run, 4th generation mechanics (the Tremblay brothers). They take pictures and keep records of everything so you can see exactly what needs doing and what's been done. Included with service is an emergency roadside assistance plan throughout North America through Napa Autopro; this is awesome cuz I stopped paying BCAA last year after a few years of not using their services. When my car was finished, they dropped it off at my house at no extra charge (15 minutes' drive away and close to the SkyTrain line, so it was relatively easy, but still!) —I'd highly recommend The Garage to anyone.

This family run repair shop is top of the line. Not only have they been taking care of my parents' cars for over 10 years, they are now taking care of my first car, and me, to be honest. Their customer service is impeccable. They will drive you almost anywhere after you drop your car off, and they'll come pick you up and bring you to the shop when your car is ready. It has been run by the same family for four generations, and Jeffrey, the current manager, helps his crew work like a well maintained engine. They will never do work on your car you have not approved. They will send you an estimate of everything before they do anything. And they will explain all of your options for all of the work. Also, whenever possible, they will offer you pricing and parts options, which is excellent. I can not recommend them highly enough. Please take your car there!

I got my first car in July of last year. Jeffrey Tremblay and his crew have been absolutely excellent with everything. Their work is top of the line, and you will be taken through every step. Jeffrey, who is the current manager and 4th generation Tremblay at the helm, explains everything and can answer any questions you might have. The rest of the crew is also really good at answering questions, and even better - they say when they don't know something. They also took me through my first car accident and Jeffrey helped me get over $2K more from ICBC on my settlement. AND they took the time to find used, more affordable parts, to fix my car. I can not recommend this place and these people highly enough. GO to them!

We knew there would be challenges from day one. In fact, the first day I pulled up in the darn thing, you gave me a look that said, "You have no idea what you are doing with this thing. "

You were absolutely correct.

I had absolutely zero understanding, of what it would take to maintain a classic sports car. Wow!

Your companies work on my car, was remarkable to say the least. I now have a much more profound appreciation for mechanical engineering. I feel much safer as a driver, now that I have received so much education from you and the staff. By better understanding how a vehicle worked, I evolved as a driver. It was like taking a course in safety, engineering, vehicle maintenance and efficiency. Your companies approach gave me the full spectrum of knowledge, and it made me a better driver and a more dependable man.

I came to the Garage, because my personal safety, and longevity with the car, was important to me.
