Great food and warm atmosphere. Good music, yet still easy to have a conversation.

The Soggy Otter beer was very good, I highly recommend.

The service was great and friendly.

Fish and Chips, Butter chicken and the Heidout burger were notably good.

Oh man…. Jen was the best server we have had in a long time! Stuffed Yorkies should be a main entree. 10/10 delicious. Unique entrees that did not disappoint. See you soon

Great little local restaurant with good food and even better staff. Were served by Mia who did a fantastic job, drinks refilled, friendly conversation and just impressed us and made us want to come back, which we will be sure to do next time we are in Cranbrook.

A lot of people, our waitress wasn’t able to give us proper service due to lack of staff. Went in as a group of three spent $130, our meals were less than adequate. Poutine was incredibly salty, fish and chips were VERY undercooked & soggy. Two gluten free meals, one vegan meal and we left feeling sick. Atmosphere was loud and tables were placed to close together. As per this visit I wouldn’t recommend.

I don't often review as I am usually not impressed; however, I certainly was impressed tonight. Service, food and drinks were all exceptional. Thanks Jenny for bringing the food, fun and flare to our dining experience. Highly recommend this establishment.

Very much enjoyed our visit here earlier this month. The burger my lady ordered was super good, she managed to eat the entire thing which is uncommon. The salad I ordered was wonderful as well.

Our waitress was very personable and gave a great recommendation for my beverage (a combination of a two different IPAs I believe they call a Dab?), And it was excellent as well. I recommend this establishment and look forward to our next visit.

Staff were more concerned what was on their phones than taking care of customers. Food wasn't ok but not like it once was. Our guests from out of town weren't impressed but perhaps was a off night. Will definitely be back for a second chance as I know they are better than this.

We eat here whenever we’re in Cranbrook. The food and drinks are great. Our server Anya was super pleasant to chat with. The whole menu seems good. We haven’t found anything we don’t really like yet. The felafel burger is amazing. My wife took home a 6 pack of their Radler and the prices were really reasonable.

Great food in a lively atmosphere. We had pickled fingers, jaegar schnitzel and salmon. All were delicious. They were very busy, which led to us waiting a long time for service which was not too much problem as we had all evening.

Good food, great service. Appreciated the recommendation between the duck and schnitzel. Went with the schnitzel and really enjoyed it, could have done it without the cheese though. If you're looking for good beer and craving Schnitzel this should be your go to place.

It was rather busy so we had to leave for a bit, but once we were seated, the staff was very personable and gracious. In spite of their being overwhelmed, the drinks and food came quickly and was quite tasty

The Heidout is a favourite “go to” for my parents and previously when it was Heidi’s it was my favourite before I moved. Great service, amazing food and very generous portions. I ordered the Pulled Pork Spaetzle and my parents ordered the Fish and Chips. Thank you once again for a wonderful evening

Great first time experience here. My partner and I ate off the vegan menu. I got the falafel burger and Caesar salad and my partner had the quesadillas. Both were delicious and filling. The service was great and the food came quickly. We will definitely be back next time we visit Cranbrook.

Went for early Mother’s Day dinner (was my first time there). Two of us had the beef dip which was excellent.son in law had the Heidout Burger which was also very good. Great atmosphere, selection of spirits and our server was exceptional! ️

Stopped in during spring break (March 26,2022). I ordered the Bison Burger, my wife ordered the Schnitzel. Both were fantastic! Also had the Fisher Peak Blonde Ale and it was excellent. Excellent service as well! The food arrived quickly. Will definately return when we come back in the future!

Our server Alissa was great! She had excellent table manners and was very friendly. However I cannot say the same about the food. Everything besides the burger was at best mediocre. Overall, the Heidout has a good atmosphere and great staff, but the food is somewhat unimpressive for such a nice restaurant.

Seen a bill board about Fisher Peak Brewery so I went here and bought 2 6 packs. It was nice as we discussed the different ones we were able to sample them. Would go here again. The restaurant seemed good and not overpriced but I did not eat here

We finally had the chance to try Heid Out in Cranbrook. The location is good with ample parking in the area. The ambiance is good and the waitress we had was outstanding. The food was ok but not outstanding. The Heid Out burger was over powered by the Soggy Otter Grilled Salami so it was hard to tell how the burger tasted.

The appetizers we your standard pub fare and not something you would go out if your way to have.

We may give them another try but it will be as a second option.

If you find yourself in Cranbrook, this is a place you must check out! The food was extremely delicious (the bison burger was phenomenal), the service was great, and overall a fantastic experience. Not to mention the beer that was so good we bought 4 six-packs to take home.

I must compliment Heidi she has done a phenomenal job with The hideout and my compliments to the chef he has done a phenomenal job too the fish and chips that me and my mom had was one of the best I would have to say a little bit better than the last fish and chip truck and I loved their lemon and caper aioli that was literally to die for and Heidi and and to the whole staff at The hideout keep up the phenomenal great job you guys are awesome

I’m from out of town and have only been here twice, once during COVID mask-time and now. Regardless, both times the atmosphere was awesome, the service was/is great, the beer is top notch and the History of the building = 5 stars for sure.

They serve a scrumptious Yorkshire Pudding with Roast Beef here. It's rare to find restaurants that serve Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire Pud was crisp and fluffy, the roast beef was good, but would have been even better if it was cooked medium rare to medium well with a bit of pink as it was drier being well done. Pure Yum. Their butterfly shrimp was also delicious. The Jicama salad was refreshing and healthy. The green pea, chick pea, mushroom masala was also delicous and fine tasting comparable to ones at Indian restaurants. High quality, well made food here with a diverse menu. Very impressed.

Absolutely horrible service. It took forever to get our drinks and our server behaved as if we were an inconvenience. We didn't even bother to finish our drinks and decided to forego dinner and eat elsewhere. I can't say I'd recommend the place.

Do not go here for lunch if you have less than 2 hours to spend.

Took more than 20 minutes for my order to be placed, and after another 30 minutes my food had still not arrived. I explained that I needed to return to work, so it was brought to go. My fries were limp/undercooked and my salad came without the dressing. The beef dip I ordered was mediocre. Very dissatisfied. Will not return, I feel ripped off.

Ask for Justin! Best server ever. He recommended the seasonal IPA. It needs to be on the menu, not just seasonally. Hazy and hoppy! Not only is he knowledgeable but very professional!

Cool ambience. Avoid Monday night however. 30 mins wait.

We loved the schnitzels! The seaside appy was delightful with the creamy sauce. But only 8 mussels.

The Heid Out seems to have landed at the resting on its laurels stage of existence.

I revisited The Heid Out in Cranbrook last week (3 years since my first visit) and the food was utterly disappointing. I had the Fisher Peak Chicken and Brie sandwich and yam fries. It's a grilled chicken breast with Brie cheese, fig jam, arugula and greens, on a (possibly gluten free) ciabatta bun. It was dead bland. I swapped half with my dining partner who agreed: "very bland". The J2 Ranch Vision Burger was more edible, but not much better. The yam fries were middling.

They do have good selection of beers by their Fisher Peak brand, and the seasonal "Hell Roaring Scottish Ale" was good beer, but if I were to return it wouldn't be to eat here; just to have a drink. The food was not worth it.
