I used to shop here all the time, now I don't. I remember coming here many years ago and it used to be lovely. Now the entire store has gone completely downhill. This one woman in seasonal who was ginger (I think her name is Kate but I can't be sure) gave me terrible customer service. Overall she had a terrible attitude. I remember buying concrete and I asked a manager if I could get some help but no, I didn't get any. There was another associate in Seasonal that overall gave me bad service (I forget her name).
One manager by the name of Jesse gave me amazing customer service. If it wasn't for her, the entire Home Depot would no longer be in service. If you are reading this Jesse, I applaud you and hope you do well in life. If only the other managers did the same.
You guys used to have such a great store. Everything has now gone downhill. Oh well. Things Unfortunately happen.
Tonight I went in looking for some buckets and shovels, with lots of contemplations between all the different varieties and prices i had a wonderful gentlemen named ‘Al’ come and help me make a decision. I explained all the problems i might encounter, broken, use and prices. Finally i had made a decision! Big thanks to Al for all his help this evening! Left with my 2 shovels and 2 buckets and ready to conquer some landscaping jobs! Thanks again Al!
Very helpful and nice staff. Al and Rhed helped me out with a Ryobi warranty and made the process really easy. Ryobi on the other hand were awful to deal with.
Home Depot in langford sold me a tool that didn’t function and had none left to exchange very bad Home Depot this Home Depot very good they/them helper very helpful lots of love
Worst customer service ever! Can not talk to anyone on the phone. Have to deal with a computerized program to screen calls which directs me to phone lines that NO ONE answers! This is really frustrating for those of us that need to travel a fair distance to get to the store or use the transit system. Get your act together and designate at least one person on shift to answer your phone!

“I highly recommend the Saanich Home Depot for their exceptional customer service, especially the assistant managers Darcy and Brandon who went above and beyond to help me out. I had a major issue with my hot water tank and they were able to provide me with a new one and even paid for the plumber. They were very understanding and gracious throughout the entire process, treating me like a family member rather than just a customer. I am incredibly grateful for their help and would not hesitate to return to this location for any future needs. Thank you Saanich Home Depot and Darcy and Brandon for your outstanding service! ”
We ordered patio furniture, in store, then cancelled right away, same day. Weeks later still no refund. We were told that the order was made"on line"within the store and the online division is separate, so they had to wait for the patio set to be delivered before they could refund. Meanwhile we received a call earlier saying it was already delivered and was awaiting pick up? That person did not know the order was cancelled. We are still waiting for them to look into it. Nobody will just give us the refund. Don't buy from Home Depot if you might ever want a refund.
I needed gorilla glue to fix up a dresser, not my hair because I'm balder than an unbroken pool table (hold for laughter.) and every employee was courteous, helpful, and didn't mind awkward banter while walking the long yet fully stocked aisles to where I needed to be. Also, the self-checkout situation that they have was completely new to me, but with nothing less than a smile and a very positive attitude, a young lady assisted me as to how to use these things (keep in mind that it was my first visit there and its alot different than a supermarket) and before I knew it, I was a pro. 5 all around
Had a rough time with a floating shelf. Came in and talked to customer service. We took some time to figure it out but realized my mistake and fixed the issue. They were super nice and helped all they could. Thanks especially to Marina and the rest of the CS team, Suzanna and Lina.
"Wild goose chase! " Would best describe our visit. We wanted to buy some bed risers that were shown in stock at the Shelbourne Home Depot (online). We made a special journey to be told not only were they not in stock, but that branch had never had them. Not impressed.
The only place that had replacement men for Foosball table a d they ordered them online so I could use a gift as website failed to mention that you can only use gift card in Ontario at this time
I was on the hunt for a small patio side table and, although this Home Depot was well picked over in the garden furniture department, I received excellent service from 3 staff members - Chioma, Naverra and Kate. Naverra helped me to find exactly what I wanted, and Chioma solved a software hangup that prevented receipt printing and worked with Kate to finish off the transaction. Many thanks to such helpful staff.
Half the staff do not know anything about what you are asking but will answer as if they do rather than putting the effort into finding a real answer. Partner went in to find ant traps. Staff said they do not carry any and referred him to a heavy duty insecticide, non returnable. I go in the next day to find the correct location of all the ant traps and pest control. I go in and ask for dog tags. Customer service says they do not carry anything for dogs. I go find the rack that sells dog accessories on my own. Staff who are a permanent stations, Such as rental department or paint department know what they are doing. General staff, including customer service and floor floaters have no idea but wont admit it. Just say you will ask someone else rather than giving me a false answer!
I only have good things to say about this Home Depot! Every time I go in, which is fairly often, I'm always met with staff willing to help (if they aren't already handling other customers). Tim in particularly was extremely helpful! I had a pretty ambitious project and he took the time to not only go over my massive shelving design, but he also helped me find everything I needed. The shelving turned out great and I have the staff at this location to thank!
Check with the store before going. Online said they had 7 of the item I was after (garden cultivator) and when I got there they had none. The fellow working there said that someone had come in a few days before with the same problem. Obviously they don't keep the website updated.
Order a kitchen five years ago and one plastic piece is broken so the drawer lid fell off. First time came here to buy the part but was told by store employee to bring the broken part. Second time came here with the broken part and told by one kitchen and cabinet staff that only designer knows about part and told me to phone the designer. Then I wanted to talk to a supervisor. They sent me another guy and he told me it’s not their job to replace broken parts for me. I should contact factory and they won’t help. I had to eventually talk to a store manager to have this sorted out. I still don’t have the part but the manager at least promised me they would find the part for me. The kitchen I ordered from them had 25 years warranty but the supervisor told me only one year. Very appalling to find out how much this place went down. Basically employee are zombies, irresponsible, not helpful, not professional, and they don’t have consistent policy. If I know this was to happen, I wish I order my kitchen from IKEA. At least not gonna be hard to find parts. And customer service would treat me nicer than home-depot. They sold the things, made a profit, but very reluctant to honour customer service.
This location has been really great so far. Had a great customer service experience with Melanie (sp?), in the paints department. She knew every conceivable thing about every paint type and gave my cousin and I the complete low down on chalk paint and wall paint while we were there. Super helpful and my place looks really dope now. Thanks!
Generally near impossible to find staff in the desired areas. Sales don't seem quite as good during Covid-19 as everyone is doing renos to their house or building an outdoor tree house for the family to play in. Am disappointed by the weaker Rigid warrantees - used to be lifetime but now 2-years. A product i was seeking wasn't on the floor but i did flag down a kind staff member who closed off an aisle to pick my item with a forklift after a short 15-min wait.
Decent prices on some things, high on others. Some employees are very helpful, while others seem to not care or offer ill informed advice. I suppose that's typical as with most large chain stores.
Had a terrible experience today after renting the jack hammer. Will never go back to them again after they made me feel that I was making things up. Very unreasonable and they have no idea about or knowledge about there products. Front desk guy and his boss Brad were terrible to deal with and would not listen.
