My main location for all my renovation needs. Always has what I need. Big selection and friendly staff there to help me find everything and listen to my gambling stories. Starbucks is nearby which is perfect for quick jolt before my gambling sessions. Huge parking lot and easy to get to.

Try to get some help from one of the service people there unfortunately they were hard to find. We ended up leaving and went to beacon Hill instead

I bought a $30 plant and discovered to have rotten roots when I got home. $30 in the trash.

I recently purchased a RYOBI tool from Home Depot about a year ago and spent over $800 on it. To say that I am disappointed with both the tool and RYOBI's warranty process would be an understatement. It stopped working altogether and when I visited Home Depot they refused to take any ownership on a product which says 5 years warranty. What infuriates me is Ryobi’s warranty process. We live in PST and the call centre operates in EST. The nearest service center is more than hour away and most of issues are not covered. Home Depot is there only to make money and has no customer loyalty

A couple days ago when I was paying for my items, Lauren, the cashier was very sweet. She was very friendly and answered the questions I had because I couldn’t find another employee to help me.
Thank you Lauren:)

I had an appalling experience with Home Depot’s flooring services.
It took me almost a month to just get a quote from the flooring company (Advance Flooring), and another 2 months to wait for them to install the vinyl floor. When the installers showed up, they told me they would not put the baseboards back as it’s not included in the quote. They did not bring the tools to glue the baseboards back; however, they said the company would send someone else to do so and it would only take 10 mins. From here, everything went downhill.
The Advance Flooring contacted me when the installer was about to finish their part of the job. They told me that they would not install the baseboard back because I did not pay for it, and they would report this to Home Depot. A Home Depot representative called me 15 mins later and told me that it would cost me another $300 to send someone over just to glue the baseboards back (about 11 linear feet).
Furthermore, even if I paid right away, they wouldn’t know when they would have someone available. I told the representative that I did not know much about the flooring installation that’s why I trusted Home Depot. The Home Depot specialist also went through the quotes with me and did not find out the baseboard installation was missing. Nonetheless, I had to take the whole responsibility.
The representative stated that she would talk to her supervisor on Monday as it was Friday, and they were closing soon. They would contact me on Monday to see what they could do. Up until today (Wednesday night) I still hadn’t heard anything from them! Worst of all, they also damaged my wall.
I never thought this experience would be such an awful lesson I had to learn from Home Depot. I would never trust this company again. Avoid their services!

Curbside pick up is a joke. In store pick up for online order is slow. Might as well don't do it.
Other than that, your typical home depot store.

The two associates in the paint department (Petra and Victoria) are AMAZING! Even went and "told on them" to the store lead. Sometimes, people have to know that they're doing a great job, and the people that lead them need to know as well!
14 October 2021 11:42
Can you imagine that they actually had people who know what they are actually talking about. Haven't seen this in years.
11 October 2021 23:12
Huge selection compared with competitors. Convenient location and ample parking.

Service can be hit or miss, sometimes you get friendly employees who offered to help while other times it takes minutes to find anybody.
06 October 2021 23:26
They had a 1/4 drive 9/16 socket in stock for under $4!
Not kms, not princess auto, not lowes, not rona, HOME DEPOT!
Awesome, and the self checkout till! Awesome!
29 September 2021 15:48
For the most part, when I need something they have it. I typically don’t need much help from staff unless it’s trying to find something. When ever I needed help they were very accommodating.
21 September 2021 18:54
I was next to Sunil one of the worker in Home Depot who has a personal hygiene problem (under.arm odor that is hard to ignore, I was suffering in silence when you really don’t have to. But people typically feel uncertain about bringing up issues related to person I hope Home Depot will do something about it.

I am here very often because of work, and I find everything is organized and easy to find, and checkout is always quick!

I have been a Home Depot Canada Employee for the past ten years, I have always felt that Home Depot Canada does not care about their employees who spend their hard earned dollars at Canadian Business Home Depot Canada. Home Depot Canada consumer negligent and their employees are not knowledgeable about their selling products which was bizarre, Home Depot Canada was very not professional towards me on the Date of August 23,2021 when I was buying basic tool kit.

The Home Depot Coquitlam Employee Donaleen as per her name made public on the customer receipt, I asked the employee when paying my high consumer dollars for a basic mechanical vehicle tool kit, if the tool kit had any product warranty through either Home Depot Canada and or even through the Manufacture which was Husky.

The above employee told me there was only 180 days of warranty through Home Depot and that was it and if your tools became defective after that date they tools were useless to be returned or warranted. I spoke to Husky and Husky Manufacture told me Warranty was through Home Depot Canada and warranty for those tools bought at Home Depot Coquitlam was life time warranty for all Husky tool products sold at Home Depot Canada.

The Husky staff person advised that Home Depot Canada did not have a clue about what they were talking about and all Husky Products that were sold at all Home Depot Canada were all life time warranted through Home Depot Canada. I tried to contact customer service to both inquire and reasonably complain before ever placing complaint public and Home Depot Canada, Coquitlam Store at United Boulevard did not bother to accept any of my customer calls through both customer service and many departments. I was left hanging and I don't think I will be ever back shopping as a Home Depot Customer. After 10 years, wow. I feel stupid shopping here and wasting of my consumer time.

I was considering suing possibly, over consumer product misinformation caused by Home Depot Canada Coquitlam Staff. I was not happy as a customer. I was advised on many different ways to treat this complaint and issue not resolved by Home Depot Canada Coquitlam.

This store has lots of good staffs who are ready to help others. Most of them are friendly and prepared well to give information for customers. Especially, staffs who are working for returning are usually very kind. However, cashiers aren't so kind according to my experience till now. It's better use its self-check out zone.
17 September 2021 1:31
Most of the time they have everything we need, but it can take some time for employees to find someone in the right department to assist you.
14 September 2021 20:40
The worst customer service I’ve ever get in my life. The paint department old man is extremely rude to the customer. Whenever we try to ask a question, he interrupts us and says “choose your color first” in a shouting manner. He never let us ask any questions. Will never go back to that store and buy the paint. However the staffs in other departments are nice though. You guys should educate that man how to treat customers properly. If you want to buy paint don’t come here. Go somewhere else.

Went in to get moving supplies, took a while to find them, but eventually got what I needed. Store was clean and staff were good.
12 September 2021 20:53
Had a great experience with the head cashier today. Very nice lady spent time with us looking for a price for a counter top as she walked back from a break.
Thank you
09 September 2021 9:29
I didn't have to buy much, but it seemed organized and maintained. Employees were around helping with being overbearing. I enjoyed the option for self checkout, scan gun makes it much easier with large objects

I bought an electric range here in April. It's now mid July and I don't have an undamaged range yet. They've delivered three broken ones.

Home Depot will only give me a refund after the damaged range has been collected (a problem because I'm relying on the cooktop since the damage is only inside the oven), meaning I either have to buy a new one without receiving a refund until sometime later or be okay with not having the cooktop either for a month or so. Or, that's what they're saying, but the model they suggested has horrible reviews and is missing the features I want so I'm not buying that anyways.

EDIT because I'm not able to reply to the reply:

I'm short: no. I've told the whole story to your reps both in store and over the phone too many times already and I'm not doing it AGAIN online. I'm still trying to get my refund set up by talking to in-store reps. It's proving to be a long and painful process, and you're asking me to put in more work by contacting you through yet another platform?

UPDATE July 19,2021: I got my refund without having to wait for them to pick up the old range thanks to one associate in the store taking quite a bit of time to advocate for me to the customer service center, which seems to be the problem here more so than this location. Essentially the store staff, including managers, can only sell you things. After that, everything has to be done through/with approval from a call center in Ontario. Getting a call back from the customer service center is almost impossible (they called me 1 out of 3 times they said they would this weekend, and a store associate calling on my behalf was put on hold for hours), and for some reason it seems like they don't just take the store associates' words on anything and instead push back and make things difficult. What I would have liked to see from them would have been 1) Calling when they say they will 2) Taking the words of people who are actually being faced with the situation 3) Contacting the manufacturer (GE) about how they've sent 3 damaged units in a row somehow and getting to the bottom of how that can happen.

Anyways, it's 1 star for Home Depot itself for its nonsensical corporate structure that makes it difficult for anyone to help you. The associate at this particular location really fought her best for me, though, so I'd rate her a 5. She shouldn't have had to fight, though.

This was a fun home depot. Full disclosure I like home depot a lot.
Lighting section at this store was almost double my local store!
Good layout of the store. (Slightly different look then others)
Staff helpful

Didn't find the recycle bins I was looking for. But staff were friendly. And I did find some extension cords that I always seem to be searching for. So it was alright.
05 September 2021 21:22
Except the price, all services and quality products are always very pleasant. Some products are very expensive such as wall plates for RJ45. But it's ok because residential customers do not need many of those.
31 August 2021 2:06
Went there for some plumbing supplies. I found this store messy and unorganized. I usually shop at the POCo store and like that one much better even if it seems to be a smaller one. The lay out is similar to the Kamloops store in Coquitlam. Just don't like it and could not find what I was looking for.

Debbie in the seasonal dept went about and beyond with my customer service experience. I called in the morning to put a Patio set on hold for me. Bought the set that was on hold and didn't get a chance to say thank you to Debbie. She called me a couple of hours later to make sure if it was me who bought trh set on hold because they only had one set left. (4 in total in the morning) Thank again and will definitely be coming back!

Less and less common hardware and building items not stocked in the store. Staff shrug and say to buy it online. Terrible.
13 August 2021 7:58
Aman the sales associate went beyond to help me with my inquiries, I hope that Home Depot will recognize this wonderful deed of their employees. Thanks a lot Aman, we will definitely return because of good and exceptional service! Happy Canada Day

This location has got to be the worst service out of all homedepot stores.one of the manager there is really horrible to deal with and not very friendly.

I had asked to do a price match with another competitor and was told no because they are not the same model. But they look the same with the same specs. I was rejected. They didnt have the item in stock anyways. I find this location does not have alot in stock compared to other locations.

I went over to Burnaby location on Henning Dr. NOT ONLY DID THEY PRICE MATCHED BUT GAVE ME AN EXTRA 10% OFF!

Do yourself and favour for tools go to the Burnaby location. They have more in stock and best of all the service is much better!

Home Depot is great. This one has a very poorly designed parking lot though. I don't even understand how it was permitted to be built that way! People drive through the stalls to get to the fast food drive throughs in the corner that don't seem to have proper access at all. It's DANGEROUS!
29 June 2021 11:26
The place is best to find any material or product you need for home improvement. The staff is really helpful in guiding you if you are new to DIY projects.

In term of safety precautions and following the safety rules for COVID-19, Coquitlam Home Depot location is the worst one. I have had many appliance deliveries in my house for over 15 years. The delivery people always wore shoes cover. However, during the pandemic specially these days that the COVID-19 cases are rising, the delivery staff from Home Depot are not following the rule at all. They came to my house to deliver something for us with their dirty shoes and when asked to remove their shoes they had to have their shoes on for their safety. So what about other safety? Specially those families who have vulnerable such as elderly? They should suffer because the Home depot staff have to protect themselves? Of course you need to protect yourselves but you have to protect other and follow the pandemic rule. It sounded that they only care about our safety not others. Those delivery staff did not follow the safety rule at all and it was so disappointing and frustrating. We had to clean up and disinfect thoroughly the area in my house where the Home Depot staff used during the delivery: (

Was looking at a product online and it said there was 16 in stock. Drove all the way down there and there was none in the isle. Asked a staff member and he said if it's not there then they don't have any then he walked away. Another guy went in the back to look and said he didn't know where they were. Seriously? ! People that work there are so useless. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Staff here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly! We really enjoy shopping at this location. Lots of parking space and washrooms are clean as well.
26 April 2020 11:10
They say they'll price match but they don't. Same product at Lowes would have been $40 cheaper and the manager at Home Depot said her hands were tied.

Helpful and friendly associates. They took their time prying open a rusty old paint can of mine. They put in a great deal of effort too, even though I hadn’t bought that paint off of them. I managed to find 5+ small items in a relatively short time span. The cashier was helpful too and approached us immediately when we hesitated at a self check-out station.

I really should look into visiting Home Depot more. I hadn’t stepped in one for years, but yesterday I really had to go and was very satisfied by their service in the end.

A well stocked larger store! I have had helpful staff and have always found temptation with reduced items for great prices. The location is hidden somewhat to residents out of area.

Really could you not clear the snow/ slush from your parking lot! If a customer falls due to your neglect it will cost you a lot more than clearing your lot.
