I shop at Home Depot a lot anytime you have a big load and need just a bit of help can't find anyone who is employed at the place to help most walk Wright past talking to the others employed there so that is how come I give just 3 star's

Home Depot has most everything you need, but I find that I spend a lot of time wandering around looking for what I need. The people working there are great and very helpful so that helps alot.

Bought a ceiling lamp fixture here and they literally had the wrong model in the box, it didn't match the picture whatsoever. Return was simple enough but not something I should have to do. Bought 4 2x4s and the "cutting experts" refused to make 4 simple straight cuts. Would only make 1 "courtesy cut". I offered to pay them and they still refused. Really pathetic considering they advertise cutting to length. Will never come back to this store and will advise others as well.

Found some of what we needed! And had given up on the rest, when A Fellow Named 'Trent' seemed to notice that we had given up, asked what were the needed parts, and he know Exactly where the BBQ parts were located!
I Am impressed by People who go above, and beyond to help! Superb!

The original person I talked to on the phone was awesome. The person I met at customer service, (different person) was inept, grumpy and did not help at all. I fact she said that they didn't sell what I came for. Very unpleasant person.

Was very impressed with the customer service my wife and I received today in Nanaimo. Thank you Heather for taking such good care of us. Customer service is definitely one of the reasons we shop at Homedepot!

I couldn't find anyone to help me inside the store. Two associates walked right by me when I was struggling to load my truck. One was texting the other totally ignored me when I asked for assistance. Another customer helped me. Really BAD customer service, in my opinion.

Shawn in appliances, is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We were in the Campbell River location on August the 5th, looking for a 7 cubic foot chest freezer, in white. Their online stock indicated that they had one.they did not. No problem, Shawn gave us a smaller unit, in black to use until they could get the unit we wanted, in stock. We were told to bring the smaller one back on the 12th.of August to do the exchange. Fantastic. We shuffled our schedule to drive the 2.5 hours to Campbell River to pick up the new freezer. Called a few minutes after they opened on the 12th.and we're told that they don't have one in stock. Interesting. I asked the "gentleman" in appliances when it would be in. He said that he has no idea and ended the call. Chris in appliances, by the way. Guess he doesn't like his job. I then called back and talked to a "fill in" manager named, Mike I believe. He said he'd check into it. Never called back. I'm going to bring the black freezer back and maybe get ahold of corporate with a customer service complaint about this issue. My wife and I have built 2 houses using Home Depot lumber and all other materials, have a contractor account and credit card as well. I think all that is going to go away, due to the lack of care from these two "gentlemen". Give Shawn the keys to this location, certainly he would do a great job for the company.

Brutal automated phone system that transfers you to nowhere or just drops out into dead space. Several attempts to get through; just won’t bother with them anymore if that’s the best they can do.

Massive thank you to Lawrence and the gentleman in tools for helping me sort out why my new nail gun was not working. They treated me a woman with dignity and respect even go so far as to take the floor model apart to help me find a nut I lost. This is what going above and beyond customer service looks like!

Just bought a Lawn Mower & other accessories. First time having to mow lawn. Linda was super helpful. Walked me through step by step. A total newbie like myself wouldn't have known where to start. Alexy put it together & explained patiently too. Home Depot has The Best Friendliest staff.ever.

Absolutely amazing service from Mike in appliances! He worked so hard to turn disappointment into absolute satisfaction. A new product glitch had us questioning our purchase but now, after Mike's excellent customer service we are dedicated HD customers. So happy with out new refrigerator.

Needed a Broil King Rotisserie mounting bracket, only. The young BBQ Sales guy, Munvir, said they only sold this $10 bracket as part of a $90 kit.

I then noticed a Broil King floor model with a sign " do not sell, missing parts" but it has my bracket
I asked Munvir -hiw much for just the bracket? Both my wife & I were gobsmacked when he said: "Help yourself"!

So disgruntled customer now "over the top, "! With such HD generosity. Thanks Munvir.

We had arranged for a Home Depot technician to install a new hot water tank. When he arrived and saw that the job was going to be a bit complicated and take longer than expected (therefore cutting into his bottom line), he couldn't get out of here fast enough. He left us high and dry. We called a local company, Norn's Plumbing and Heating instead. From the first phone call to complete install was under 6 hours. We were happy to support a local company and will not be using Home Depot install services ever again.

The young lady in painting is super helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. We have continuously visited home depot and bought paint from her as she can point us in the right direction for what type of finishing and how much paint we need for our home depending on our square footage.

Ordered, in person at the store aJohn Deere riding mower. 2 in stock, would come back in 3 days with a trailer. Show up and different sales person says we have 2 returned and broken mowers we could fix one and you could come back in a few days to get it. Are you kidding?

They had my name, phone number but couldn't take the time to call and let me know. My time to organize a rental trailer, fuel, plans to use the mower completely ignored. I had to stand there and no suggestion to find one at any other store completely ignored. I asked for the cost of my trailer rental refunded at the very least. Got the refund but no other help except maybe try next season as we are too late in the season to order one.

Bite my tongue and left feeling that I should be happy I got my $27 back.disgusting

Just an absolute nightmare on an 800 dollar online order I made. Replaced my ordered items with a lesser quality replacement at the same price. Completely omitted one item that was a make or break peice for my job. 200 feet of flex drain pipe had the straps broken off so it was next to impossible to get in my truck. I didnt notice it was missing any items until I was home as I was assured "it's all there" I called in and was told that the original items were not only there, he wasn't sure why they were replaced and that they would be waiting for me to swap at the counter at my convenience. So I drive up to get them (I don't live close) and they are not there, no1 knows anything about it or where the items are. I try to order online and it will be 10 days before I get it, plus shipping. I call the 1-800 number and I am on hold for an hour. I get an extremely rude and unhelpful agent from Ontario who was just flat out lying to me about logistics. So I end up driving all the way to the Courtney store, as they have them in stock but Home Depot can't/won't do interstore transfers. They can't even drop it in the mail (small item). At the end of this very long day, close to 6 hours of driving and fuel to complete my order, still holding these inferior replacements. I find myself with an extreme bias for ordering anything from Home Depot in the future.

Needed beadboard panels for some DIY renovations. Checked online that they have stock before making the trip out to Nanaimo with a trailer.
Got to the store and we couldn't find any. The first staff member on the floor we asked for help said we should ask someone else. The second person said "yeah, the system says we have it, but I don't see it".
I then ordered them online from the same store, spending $125 extra on shipping.
So they can make an effort to find the product for online customers, but not if you make an effort to go to the store?

I went there to buy paint supplies. Spray paint section was almost bare. I did notice alot of boxes on top of spray paint inventory. Maybe get an employee to work the paint out to shelf? I also felt like the front end manager/cashier that was working self checkout was being aggressive to get me to check out. (I enjoy looking at magazines etc before going thru). I made my selection and she jumped in front of me and scanned my purchases! To pushy! I like to take my time and do my own scanning, thank you! Her actions came across as rude to me. Move the magazines away from front check outs. People like to look thru them and can find paint colors etc they like. Could sell more paint if they were closer to Paint Dept.

They seem to constantly have inventory issues, or at least that's what the staff keep telling me. Website says you have 13, your scanner says you have 13 but I get told it was received wrong

I confess that I love home improvement stores. Home Depot's are pretty much all the same as far as the physical store. Any interactions I've had with the sales staff have been positive.

We recently bought an Electrolux washer. The washer is great but what was so great was the service. Royce was the CS person that helped my husband. He say he was very knowledgeable and professional but more than anything if you didn't know better you would think he loved his job more than anything in the world. He was amazing, and was very helpful when it came to explaining all the options, delivery and takeaway of our old washer. My husband dealt with him more than once and my husband is a hard man to please, he asks lots of questions.he said his attitude was excellent!

Mostly friendly staff.
Seems like they are having trouble keeping their bins full. Lots of small electrical, plumbing and closet stuff not replenished or just not there any more. No 3/4" MDF anywhere to be found, and trim stock and selection dwindling.

Their staff are generally knowledgeable, and it's easy to get directions to the things I'm looking for. Dangerous place tho. It makes my wallet bleed.

Asked for a quote for cabinet refacing. Guy showed up late for appointment, no apology. He did a rough sqf measurement of counters not the cabinets! Did not receive a proper written quote, he just wrote one amount on his business card and said that includes tax. The quote was $1300 more expensive than the quote I had received from a local small business owner. Small business owner has been around for 25+ years and has outstanding reviews. Needless to say I will be choosing the small business owner. Who by the way.measured properly and provided a detailed itemized written quote.

If you have any home repair work this is the best place for everything. I'm always amazed by the employees here who are local diy people who have all the answers to small or big reno projects. They really make this store what it is!
