I love this place! Basically anything you need for your home. Whether you're fixing your sink or building a deck to planting a garden!

Home depot is a great shop with knowledgeable staff however, they aren't too keen on explanations or how to best a job that's the reason for the missing star I found that the employees aren't concerned with what's best for the customer. In all it's a good shop and recommend it if you know what you're after.

They mostly have what I need. It can be a real effort trying to get help in there though. I searched for awhile to find someone to cut my lumbee on their saw.

I am a big fan of this location. Staff are always helpful. Products are easy to locate using the “in store” function on their website. E-receipts provided. Easy returns, etc.

One of the best Home Depot’s I’ve visited. Someone usually asks if I need help or says hello. Items go on sale earlier here than in Kelowna and they have a better selection. Really like their landscaping/trees and outdoor department.

This location shorted us over $1500 worth of product when we picked up in store. Drove from out of town to pick up rolls of decking and told the amount and paid only to drive 3 hours back home and measure to realize they shorted us. When we called them they said they would call us back the next day to find a solution and they never called.
Thankfully Kamloops Home Depot helped us and found a resolution but be careful here.
Not sure how often our business will be shopping at Home Depot anymore after this experience.

I ordered kitchen cabinets and was told they were all on the shelf except some fillers and a toe-kick but it would take a couple days to "pick" the order. I went in the day it was all supposed to be ready and not only were they not even aware of my order's pick-up date, 4 of 11 the cabinets were no longer even on their shelf. I finally was able to pick up all of the cabinet pieces but only because I checked the shelf on my own. I expected that if an order is waiting for an item and the item showed up that the store would call me. Ha! That never happened. I'm still waiting for some filler pieces and a toe-kick and they can't even tell me when I can expect them.
So guess where I won't be going for my countertops, flooring, sink, door handles, etc?

Despite the pricing in this store being higher than the local landscape supply, lumber yard, paint shop, or any local business they compete with they “can’t afford to pay their staff living wages”.

Please find elsewhere to spend your money.

Nolan went above and beyond helping me plan my deck. He gave me a printed out plan and went through every detail so I understood what materials and design plan worked best for me.

Just came to home depot for a few washers and bolts. The employee at the checkout was nothing but rude, said good afternoon to her and continued to ignore us. Then followed with a eye roll and rude response. Was a tall, blonde girl around 20 years old. BEWARE!

Really good selection and quality compared to some of the other big hardware stores in the region. The kitchen designer was very helpful at helping us pick out styles and materials for our upcoming reno- supportive about our questions, while not being pushy about the styles, helped us figure out what we like as opposed to what is generically good. Much appreciated!

A huge call out to Drena for her amazing customer service. Her passion for plants truly shines through when she talks about plants. Her recommendation was much appreciated. Thank you for having such great staff working like Drena!

Their kitchen cabinet resurfacing program, Renuit, is a joke. Rep showed up an hour late, dragged samples across my brand new floor and scratched it, and gave me a ridiculous quote that was 3 times the price of new home depot cabinets. Avoid at all cost.

Done ever ordering special items.nobody ever answers phone.lost our order said it was delivered, which it wasn't. In the store for two months once it was tracked down.one bad experience after another. I've learned my lesson.

Called store number of times for a simple question whether a sale was online only, or if it is honored in the store as well. Was transfered number of times, and then the line was disconnected. Called in three times, same result. Front end lady promised me she would call back, never did. I am willing to drive in from Oliver, which is over an hour drive, but Home Depot is not willing to answer a simple question or call back. Very poor phone service, don't bother wasting your time calling.

There is a great selection of appliances and tools, it's like being in a candy store. The staff is very helpful too.

There are some great people working there but there are also some that clearly would like to be elsewhere it shows in the attitudes of some staff.

I went to the store sunday evening at 7: 30 i asked the cashier to get someone to help me in the tool isle twice after 26 minutes I left. On Monday morning I went to Rona in Kelowna and got great service and spent over a $1000

Stopped in here for some wood glue. Staff members are approachable and knowledgeable. Took me all of 10min to get in and out. Good place to go to get your home projects supplies.

Went into store kinda in a bit of a panic as our fridge stopped working during a move and the heat wave. Joanne was so helpful with ordering all of our appliances and gave us so much advice. It was a pleasure dealing with her, and the staff was so helpful loading a couple of things we got to save our food before our delivery date of all items. It was the boxing week sale and everything was onsalewe r so lucky and glad we came here!

We purchased our kitchen cabinets April 7 2021. We were told they would arrive May 7 and be installed the following week.

It is July 13 and still not installed. They have delayed us over and over.

The soonest they say they can do it is Aug 10 now.
4 MONTHS LATER.
Customer service and communication has been TERRIBLE!

This is a very well run store. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is well merchandised and easy to find what you need.

In April we purchased a fridge, stove and washing machine - our sales person was Jelle and he was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our troubles began later when dealing with delivery dates. No need to go into details but suffice to say the process was longer and more painful than it needed to be, but once we escalated the issue up the ladder, we were very happy with the outcome and the way upper management dealt with it. Compensation was offered, happily received and customer loyalty was retained. "Moments of truth". Home depot, you came through!

Always a very busy place, we appreciated Jay helping us with a patio furniture question. She was helpful and knowledgeable. If it wasn’t for her great customer service I am not sure we would go back. As the customer service in the flower department was anything but good.

Has everything you need for building supplies, renovations, and home and garden needs.

But I'm especially happy about the customer service here, everyone I've had to interact with has been pleasant and helpful. Going so far as to check the back and even taking out whole pallets and hauling it to the checkout and even loading our vehicle. Really customer oriented staff, which is really appreciated!

I went in to try and put together an older "Radio Flyer" and was lost at where to start. Brian went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me and ensure I had what I needed. Thank you Brian! I really appreciated all that you did!:)

I also wanted to say a big thank you to Chantelle who was such a help when we recently needed to get a new kitchen faucet. The one we wanted was on sale and she found the last one for us - we were so thankful! Really appreciate this Chantelle!:)

My husband and I went in looking for shelving for our pantry and found exactly what we needed. We purchased 6 metal bakers rack types shelves in 3 sizes to do the job. I had the idea to join the 2 smallest shelves together to make a shoe rack. What I needed was a way to join the two leg sections together. We went into the nuts and bolts section where I needed a stud bolt. I tried to explain to the first employee what I was looking for, and he pretty much dismissed me saying they didn't have anything like that.

Another employee by the name of John, overheard the conversation and came over to help. John went above and beyond as far as I am concerned. He picked out 4 extra long bolts that fit the thread, and he cut the heads off for me. Problem solved.
It just goes to show what the difference is between an employee who cares about customers and their needs, and an employee who is just there to get his paycheck. Thanks again John for all of your help!

The staff here is great, very helpful, prices are lower than Rona or Home Hardware, and the selection is way better too.

Lately I visit this place almost daily. Second reno project in about 5 years and they are my go to store on the Westside. They have almost everything I need. There are a few really great staff members, especially in appliances, went above and beyond to help us out!

Great store has most everything my man and I have ever gone here for. Very helpful staff. The only problem I've ever had is with their security. They follow people around the store very closely and too obviously. Especially when I'm not a thief and they should be checking and watching the real thieves more closely. It is a store in West Kelowna I'll never return to. Honest to god opinion.

I really used to love HD. Its still a go to for me, but they really know how to make $ and there are some great staff, but there are lots that could and should be replaced with robots

This rating is not for the entire store just for a particular lady in the paint department. I looked all over the west bank locations website to send this complaint in privately but no where does it allow you to send in an email to customer service (that if could find). I believe the lady’s name is Darcy, she has long white hair. The lady at the paint counter was unforgivably rude not only to me but to another customer who was unhappy with a color match he’d received. I couldn’t believe how terribly this woman treated the customer - it was uncomfortable to watch and I along with other customers waiting to be served just cringed at the appalling service. She called him a liar and refused to help him. She told him the color (which he was unsatisfied with “was the best he was going to get” and that “he’d have to live with it”. I’ve never heard an employee from HD talk to someone so terribly before. I must say, besides her, everyone I’ve dealt with at this HD location has been absolutely lovely. They have always been eager to help and I love visiting this store. Which is why I wish I could have sent this message privately because besides the terrible service given by this one person this store deserves 5+ stars.

Was looking for info on hot water tanks. Gentleman was extremely knowledgeable and I will be getting it done through Home Depot. Very reasonable price and the install will be done professionally including removing and taking away the old tank. Very happy.

Best place they have so.mych stock every other place you go out of stock special orders. Home depot have it. Excellent store helpful employees

Love coming here. I just finished building my house and Home Depot was indispensable. From small to big projects, i can always find what i need

Smaller selection than kelowna, but much nicer to browse. There is room to distance and it is not overly crowded. I always feel the staff wants to help me here compared to other locations.

Good customer service. Great selection. Can be hard to get an employee at times. No masks needed to enter.

This is my "go to store" when I have home improvement projects. Most of the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and courteous.

This Home Depot is full of caring - thoughtful and experts who know their stuff. I shop here regularly and appreciate them being open early so I can get to work on time. Highly recommend!

Dont like the idea to pay for a estimated on counter and and cabnets also stood around waiting for help on screen doors sorry does not work for me.be very happy I gave a 3

Completely unhelpful and rude. Go to your local Ace Hardware.

It has a great selection. But be sure to dress nice as they will treat you alot different. Which is absolutely horse sh#t, but the sad truth. I go in dressed in my grubby work clothes and they treated me like I was gonna steal something from the sec I walked in. As when I walked in dressed in my two thousand dollars watch. Dress shirt etc etc. And was treated ALOT different. I thought it was a working man's store. Guess I was wrong. Very wrong. I only go there when I have to. Only place worse is Canadian Tire Kelowna for that same problem.

Late night, not many customers but lots of help from staff. Will do night shopping at Home Depot again.

Not only did they have what I needed to do the job I received expert advice on what I needed and how best to complete my project. Absolutely love Home Depot and their staff!

Staff won't bother refilling empty shelves past a certain time even if product is in stock. Wasted trip.

We will never ever buy appliances nor window treatments from Home Depot again. We purchased all of our appliances from this place and they’re not even 4 months old and the microwave is garbage. So we went back to the store and explained that the microwave isn’t working and they gave us the 1-800 number. They wash their hands of you once you purchase from them, they have their money, now it’s up to you to track down the repair people. So we call the1 -800 and have the person on the other line not understand my English and kept asking what was the problem. We gave up and returned to the store only to have the appliance mgr call the 1-800 on our behalf and we got the very same person. Finally 2 weeks later the repair person came and couldn’t find the problem so he replaced the mother board. It still shuts down on us!
Blinds, May 5 we ordered window treatments out of the same Home Depot and they take half of the money up front. It is now July, the second half of the payment was taken off our credit card and we still have no blinds.
We would rather pay a little extra and use a local appliance/window treatment company then go through a conglomerate like Home Depot where they really don’t care once they have their money. Brutal!

It's quite hard to get someone that can help you with your questions, that is informed with the correct information. You can never get anyone on the phone if you're calling in to find out if they carry something specific, especially when you live an hour away from the store & you don't want to drive there for nothing. A lot of the time the staff there seem exasperated & it feels like we are wasting their time. I recommend going somewhere else.

Dave at the Tool Rental was awesome. I walked in with some hardwood trim to rent a compound mitre saw. When Dave found out I just had to make a couple of cuts, he did them there and sent me on my way. Way beyond my expectations. Thanks so much!

Can get most anything here, gotta watch the prices though. Shopping for tile today and everything I liked said "only available online at homedepot.ca. ". I've bought stuff on their website with before good success so I'll give it a go.kind of wanted to go home with tile today but I understand the space it would require to carry enough of each type of tile. All in all a successful trip

Rented a wet saw to cut tile for a back splash. The staff were very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Gave instructions on how to use the wet saw, checked everything out to ensure it was complete and safe to use. Highly recommend renting equipment from The Home Depot in West Kelowna.

Picked up appliances. The customer service was wonderful. They were helpful, kind, patient, and cheerful. Probably the best customer service I've had in quite some time!

Home depot usually has everything you need, however their service sucks. Anytime you need assistance there is nobody to be found.

Majority of staff are excellent, though I have had to make comments to management about certain staff. Some forget why they work there, to help customers, those that get that concept are excellent staff, those that don't need to move to areas where they do not deal with customers. Several staff have treated me like I was an interruption when I was legitimately looking for help in areas I had no experience, for example seasonal. Like they had work to do and I better get out of their way so they could do it. Yesterday, Art in the Electrical department did not know that a Wi-Fi thermostat can be installed without a C-wire and gave me the wrong advice (unknowingly) but Carol at the Returns desk was kind to help me sort out how to get the answer to the problem, and Nest Thermostats (3rd Generation) can be connected with only 2 wires and no C-wire. Both Art and Carol were great at helping me. I even told Art about what I learned so he could help others better later.
