The Irish Heather Shebeen

My favourite this about this place is they're not overdoing it or underdoing it. If you're from a small town in Ireland or a small town in Canada, this is the place you wanna be. One of the only places in Vancouver you'll find a pub like this.

Awesome Irish pub with great staff and fantastic whiskey. Feel open and confident to rely on Heather's recommendations, she knows whiskeys alright!

Their full Irish breakfast is the best kept brunch secret in Vancouver. I can roll out of bed at noon & don’t have to wait in line to get a delicious brunch! The best. My husband gets a perfectly poured Guinness. Everyone wins.

The Staff are class and probably the only thing that keeps this place in business as the food lately is not fit for a dog. Drink here but do not eat unless you are a starving pig and want slop. And it’s priced like a high end restaurant.

I love this is my neighbourhood! I go there at least once a week for a pint of bitter and a meal.

Had a great time here on Saturday night after a not so fun experience at Savoy Pub.

The bartenders, Jared and Eamon, were very friendly, provided great service, and created an overall good experience.

They also have a very extensive variety of whiskey for those interested.

10/10 recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

I ordered the Stacked Corned Beef with Extra Corned Beef, Curry on my fries and Cheese on my fries as well!

Ok, this was a spectacular sandwich! The curry sauce really amped up my fries. I only wish there was more mustard inside the sandwich, but you can always just order that on the side.

Looking forward to trying other things on their menu next time I'm in the area.

Our server was very rude from the moment we arrived. She later kicked us out because someone in our group asked where the washroom was twice. She said they must have been too drunk to have to ask twice, but no one in our group even asked where the washroom was to begin with. After reading other reviews it sounds like the staff and management are agents of the Poo Police task force. Will not return.

Excellent food and drink, reasonable prices and great staff. A home from home pub if you’re Irish in downtown Vancouver.

Shebeen is an Irish word for Speakeasy our friendly waiter said. The food was good, very authentic. The rashers and chips reminded me of the kind I used to have during my Uni days in the UK. If only they had fried bread. The pub decor was super cool and booths were cozy. A perfect choice for St Paddy's Weekend.

The service, the setting, the pub grub, are all top notch, with plenty to choose from on the drink menu.

15 of us were well looked after and catered for last night.

My friend enjoyed her whiskeys she tried. I loved my Rosé. The highlight of the evening was the sociable and friendly hostess. She brought great energy to a quaint and chill Irish pub.

Super warm, friendly bar with great staff and great drinks. The space is big yet cozy with seating at the bar, tables and almost completely enclosed “rugby booths. ” The Guinness was poured beautifully. Other drinks sampled were balanced and delicious. Great vibes here

First wedding at this location. The whole staff was thrilled to have us and made out wedding experience the best we could have hoped for. Love this place. Thank you!

Hell yes for the corned beef stack!

This is a very traditional Irish speakeasy style pub. Nice for a quiet pint and tasty bar food. Their Guinness is very good by Vancouver's standards. I have given them 4/5 for service cause they left my mate waiting to order a pint too long when he came in and joined me.

Great Irish pub that pours a proper Guiness and has a great Whiskey selection, Irish and Scottish. Mostly Irish pub fare for food. They do in house corned beef and a decent curried fries.

Very interesting place while waiting for Phnom Penh. They have drinks naming after the Cambodian restaurant, eg. "Waiting for Phnom Penh", which is a sweet and pleasant mango cocktail. There is another one, "waiting for number 7", referring to the pub across it. We didn't try that one, but we like the atmosphere, the vibe and the names for the drinks. They are very creative in that sense. Will definitely go back to try more.
