The KATSU Cutlet House Restaurant

Yummy pork katsu. Good service, good food. Ask for mayo as they don't give it to you. The katsu sauce tastes different than the store bought bottled version. They give you a bit of spicy hot mustard on the side. When you mix the mustard into the katsu sauce gives your pork cutlet a bit of a kick. I add mayo too. The pork katsu was a bit thin but still crispy and good with rice they serve on the side. Recommend this food on a cold winter day.

The staff were all friendly, the prices were reasonable and the food tasted good, and they gave me chimi powder with the udon set I ordered from the beginning, so I was glad I didn't have to order it separately. There is no space for customers to park in the parking lot behind the building, so customers must park in the free parking lot right across from the restaurant or park on the street.

Tried our fair share of Tonkatsu places and this one was the best overall specially for value. We’ll be coming back for sure.

Had really high hopes for this place and was super disappointed. We’ve been to many katsu places all over the lower mainland and unfortunately, this one was the worst.

Service was ok, restaurant was very empty. Only two other tables with guests. Tables were sticky and it was very dark. They were blasting Korean (?) music as well.

The food is where it took a turn for the worst. The most dry, over fried, unseasoned chicken and fish ever. It had zero taste. It felt like I was eating cardboard. The Tonkotsu dipping sauce was very clearly from a bottle and not homemade. Just pure laziness. The miso soup and salad were the saving graces for me, but that’s not really saying anything For $16-17 per dish, definitely over priced.

Also, it was very hard to find parking.

Was extremely disappointed with this experience and we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

By far the best Katsu i have ever had anywhere. You can clearly see the effort put in the food to make it look and taste good. Amazing service and decent prices.

Food came out very hot and steaming. Portion sizes were good and the food melted in your mouth. Only issue I had was the flavor was a little bland, maybe add a few additional flavorings. Would recommend.

Had a nice bday meal with the family. It tastes as great as it looks. Prices are reasonable for the meal set and you get the cutlet, soup, rice and salad. We would definitely come back again.

Best Donkatsu place in the lower mainland.
Try their plain donkatsu if you order only one.otherwise order kimchi nabe and plain donkatsu together.then you will experience unlimitedly delicious donkatsu by eating them alternatively.

This is my first time, food is fresh and yummy.
Price is not expensive.
And sever is nice.
I ordered Assorted Katsu which is chicken, fish, pork, prawn.
It is really great~~
I will visit again.

I Work by the corner of this restaurant in Have never tried it, because the food is cutlet and in my perspective, it’s not healthy. So never had tried it before. Today we decided to give it a try and I should say the food didn’t feel greasy at all it didn’t come across heavy and it was done in a very, very efficient time. We got by there at 10 after 12 and the left 10 before one which for lunch is very great time and efficient. The service was great. The food this flavours really nice. It was priced very reasonable.if you want to try something, unique and tasty, give it a try. The food was not dry and crispiness was just perfect. The salad wasn’t heavily sauce and the rice with the right portion. It also have pickles and a really good dipping sauce and it’s come with the soup. For the price you pay I can definitely say it’s really I must try this little restaurant in downtown Langley.

Came for dinner with friends and ordered the cheese katsu. The katsu itself was a underseasoned and a little bland. I asked the server if the rice and cabbage was unlimited (most katsu places they are free refills) and he confirmed but when I received my bill I was charged extra. Won't be coming back here again.

This place is phenomenal! Great food, friendly staff and all for a low price. People ask me "what is Katsu" and my pasty white self says "it's like a bento box with really amazing Japanese chicken nuggets". COVID 19 as of August 1st: Distance between tables and hand sanitizer at most common areas. Contact tracing as well for any dine-in customers. Servers wore masks as well. Overall a great place and one I would recommend both in general and at this point in time.

Take out is efficient (only about 10 minutes) and they also deliver through Uber Eats

Literally the BESTTTT katsu. We got chicken and pork katsu, it was so tender and crispy. The waitress was super nice and explained their menu to help me select a dish I would love. We went around 12 and the restaurant was packed.

The katsu we ordered - chicken, mix, and cheese - tasted very typical. The amount of batter used was not too thick either and the katsus were not over fried.

Excellent food, atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. It’s hot and stuffy with awkward seating but the food makes it worth it.

I order here a lot on UberEats and the food is always good. However, I won't be ordering anymore until they switch to paper bags for takeout. There's no reason for restaurants to cheap out on these bags that can't be recycled and contributing to all the unrecycled waste we have out there.

For a katsu place, I wasn't super impressed by the Ton Katsu. But I've only been there the one time, I'll have to give it another go and see if it was just a "meh" night.

My favorite restaurant for soba. The price for their combos are competitive for the quality. My favourite is the "Chicken Katsu" and "Hiyashi Soba. "

Mostly take out but their in dinning looks nice and cozy.

Good tonkatsu. Could have been juicier, but overall experience was good. Rice was better than Saku (not sure what kind they are using, but it wasn't high quality). If I'm in the area looking for katsu. I'd come back.

The service is really friendly and the food is delicious! Had the cheese katsu, it was filled with mozzarella cheese and just oozing out of the katsu. Recommend if you really love cheese lol

Couldn't decide which to get, so we got the assorted katsu (fish, chicken, pork, shrimp). They were all so good, but our favourite was the pork katsu for sure! Don't know how they do it, but the pork was so soft and tender, and the batter is just the right thickness and crunchy with great flavour! Will definitely be coming back for more! Service was great and waitress was very attentive!

Delicious, authentic Katsu with different meats (eg pork, chicken, fish) and styles of Katsu. Definitely recommend a stop and will be coming back for more. Unlimited picked radish and salad!

Excellent cutlet house. On par with any on Richmond or Vancouver. We had the hot plate, assorted Katsu and Katsu nabe. The price was great and you get a good amount of food. We will be coming back for sure. It's nice to have some more options in Langley /South Surrey

Amazing food like extremely delicious and fresh, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere! My new favorite place in Langley. I'm bringing my family there tonight as a matter of fact!

This place has been my go-to since the opening when I crave for good quality meal. Absolutely recommended. Cannot think of any cons. Just go try. You'll know.
