We had a wonderful evening and overnight stay at The Latch Inn. This gorgeous older building has been beautifully renovated keeping all the key original architecture and wooden paneling. We stayed in the Miraloma suite which is a lovely large room that has its own fireplace. David and Michael run this place with a warm welcome and charming atmosphere. We had a lovely breakfast and ate dinner at the Sea Glass restaurant close by. Highly recommended for a quiet night or weekend away from it all.

We adore this place. Michael and David are tremendous hosts. If you want a cozy, quaint and friendly place to stay, with great breakfast and hospitality, you will love The Latch!

Latch Inn is outstanding. Everything is thoughtful and just right. Out host David was supremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were best ever and we gave a gratuity to the cook. Sidney is a really nice town. Overall Latch is a terrific place, we were on a trip from eastern US and so glad we stayed there instead of in Victoria. Will definitely return.

We had an excellent two night stay this weekend. Very comfortable view room. Delicious breakfasts. Cozy lounge with fireplace. Superb hosting by David and Dominic. Highly recommend this Inn. We will be back.

I immediately noticed the pineapple carvings in the spindals of the stair railings.
The pineapple was often used as a symbol to represent hospitality in the olden days and would adorn absinthe towers and other utensils of the time.
Pineapples were considered exotic fruit as it came from tropical countries and were difficult to procure at the time. Offering such fruits would be reserved for your most important guests symbolic of welcoming and respect.
Dominic, our host and owner, lived up to the tradition and honors his craft as a hotelier.
My fiance and I had a wonderful two night stay, and the level of detail service is noticed.
The breakfast had an incredible amount of detail and care into it, a bit of a throw back in food trends in terms of carnishes of fruit, etc. With my tasty eggs, Benny's wich suited the dining room.

We are well travelled; and can say this was the best B and B we have stayed in. All the extra details have been attended to; luxurious linens, warm common areas, fresh baked cookies in the evening, and a delicious full service breakfast. The location is perfect, and the hospitality offered by the hosts David, Michael and Dominic memorable.

The Latch Inn came as a total surprise, inasmuch as we have never stayed there before. A charming building in a stunning and quiet location, immaculate bedrooms proving to be extremely comfortable. A very real breakfast was served to round-off our first class experience.

On top of it all a wonderful warm reception from David who is certainly host par excellence.

What a great place. Unique heritage building made it feel like we were somewhere in Europe. Excellent personal service. The full breakfasts were truly appreciated.

The Latch Inn is the bed and breakfast experience at it's best. With each room being unique but all clean, comfortable, and draped in old world elegance, you are in for a wonderful, and classy, experience. The service was out of this world, the breakfast some of the best I've ever had.and with a view of the harbour that could easily grace the cover of books and magazines, it is a place you should not miss. They leave out homemade cookies in the evening, for goodness sake. How can you beat that? A huge thank you to Dominic for being so helpful with our later check in; you're the example of what good hospitality looks like.

Quiet, elegant, clean, delightful, convenient; I could go on but i don't want to give too much praise as I may be the cause of no room for us the next time we are in Sidney.

We stayed for 2 nights in the governor's suite. It was a delightful and peaceful room with a huge bathroom. Dominic was an amazing host and breakfast was so good. Best stop on our trip!

So tastefully appointed with incredible attention to detail-from Dominic's cocktails to the Michael and David's amazing breakfast the next morning. The beds and bedding were SOOO comfortable. We had the whole place to ourselves to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday as a group. This is a terrific place for a quiet getaway or to get together with friends. Highly recommend!

This is a unique heritage inn, located in a quiet, but convenient location in Sidney. We enjoyed two nights in the WC Nichols room, which was very clean and comfortable and included a great breakfast, with several daily choices and even fresh baked cookies in the evening, should you desire. Michael, David and Domenic, own and run the Inn, and have added some nice touches as well as being very personable. We would highly recommend a stay here.

The Latch is a unique, historical boutique hotel where the owners proudly share their passion for creating a perfect stay for their guests. Special touches like freshly baked cookies brought out in the early evening, Rogers chocolates waiting on the comfy bed, helpful tips about places to visit locally, etc added to that pampered feeling. And the breakfast was beautiful and delicious and huge!

We stayed at The Latch Inn last weekend.what a treat! 3 wonderful hosts in a spotless heritage building with amazingly comfortable beds and a lovely view of the marina. Breakfast is included and it’s not often someone with Celiac Disease can rave about a breakfast, but it was rave worthy. We’ll be back and we’re bringing friends!

We had such an amazing stay at the Latch! Our room was beautiful and very clean with marina and garden views. Also thoughtful touches with cookies when we arrived and a chocolate bunny since we were there at Easter. The breakfast was delicious! We had our dog Lucy with us and she had a great time and loved meeting Dominic. We will definitely be back:)

Stayed there early March for a Covid staycation. We could not have been happier. Superb hosts. Breakfast was fantastic and they were able to provide a celiac friendly breakfast. Our dog was welcomed there too.

Our hosts are extremely responsive, professional and amazing! The inn is super comfortable and clean, with fantastic decorations. I had the BEST breakfast in town with a gorgeous waterfront view!

Words can’t express what a most wonderful experience my sister and myself had staying at the Latch Inn. We spent three glorious days in the most charming log inn. The breakfasts were top notch. Our hosts Dominic, David and his partner were so pleasant, hospitable and gracious. I travel extensively and must say this was one of my most wonderful experiences. A room upgrade, tasty cookies upon arrival and wonderful conversation and memorable daily breakfasts all for a most incredibly affordable price. You’d be crazy not to have a stay at this quaint cozy inn near the ferry in Sidney. Thanks a million. My sister and I will absolutely be returning annually.

Once again a 5 star stay at The Latch Inn with fabulous hosts David, Michael, and Dominic! This was our second stay and again we loved every minute. The ambiance is amazing and the rooms are well-appointed, comfortable, and charming! Breakfast is always amazing. We hate to leave each time but rest assured will be back again for another stay!

We’ve traveled extensively, staying in many nice places and this inn ranks among the top B&Bs we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. The owners got it right. B&B stands for ”Bed and Breakfast”. Keep it simple, offer an extraordinarily comfortable bed and serve an outstanding breakfast. The extras are all a bonus. Well done! PS. The COVID standards are above average.

I did not dislike this place. Actually I have never been there as a guest. I do have a business relationship with them and they are awesome ppl. And the place is beautiful w gorgeous views. I would love to experience a meal and stay there.

Warm, welcoming atmosphere and comfortable rooms. The upstairs lounge was prepped for our arrival; there's nothing more wonderful than arriving to a glass of wine in front of the fire on a cold winter evening.
Our hosts David and Michael exemplified professionalism and yet also made us feel like old friends. Our eggs benny were absolutely delicious.
David, Michael and Dominic have worked hard to bring the Latch back to its former glory and to maintain its original charm. It felt like we were back on the Atlantic coast in one of the charming bed and breakfasts. A perfect night away. We will definitely be back.
