The Low Carb Grocery Burnaby

I love the variety of low carb items at the store. Previously I've ordered items online from Toronto and its nice to be able to save the shipping and handling costs by buying local. The prices are competitive (not low but competitive). Anything low carb or specialized is not a cheap buy anywhere, but Low Carb Grocery saves you the shipping and handling costs if you live in the lower mainland and that's a bonus.

I have been doing online ordering from low carb grocery here and there for over a year now, it's nice to be able to have these alternatives and im never disapointed with my order. It always comes within days and packed so nicely. Well today I finally got to go check out the store while we were heading home from Victoria. I loved it! The ladies working were so kind and helpful. Thank you

First-class service from these guys. Dozens of orders and zero errors. One breakage in transit was instantly replaced. I love the range of food for my low-carb diet. Shopping times are usually just a few days, I'm used to ordering when supplies are running low. In short, low-carb would be very difficult without them, I'm super grateful for the product choice, the service and the very fact that through Covid I managed to keep eating what I needed. 10 stars out of 5!

Prices are higher than online but your supporting a brick/mortar business. They do have alot in the store and some things you can't get online elsewhere.

Nice variety of products, okay service, but all the sugar free chocolate I got from here was chalky and waxy as if it was much older than it was - practically inedible. The brand was the same as I get from lots of other stores and have never had this issue, and all items were well within the best before dates, so I can only imagine there may be some issues with how products are stored? If it were just one item I would let it go, but it was multiple items. I at least won't buy chocolate here again.

I have been buying from this organization since before they were in the West Coast. Focusing on Low Carb products. They have a Large variety of products for those on a Lower Carbohydrate Lifestyle.

The girl at the store was very friendly and she tried to be helpful but I was in and out in a few minutes as I was running errands. I liked how assorted the store was. I'd come back. I just wish it was closer to DT area but overall great!

This place is a mecca for those looking for low carb options that are normally hard to find. I highly recommend the Cinnamon buns.

I am Diabetic type 2. This is a good food store that I want to buy most of my favorite food products and stuff I need for the first time in September 2019. They also have online shopping website for this, so it is convenient to do online food/beverages shopping in their website too. I will continue doing my online shopping in their website sometimes if I need to.

Quite an impressive selection of all sorts of sugar-free/low carb products. It’s great to be able to browse these items in the real world that normally you would have to spend forever looking at online (or never find at all just because you don’t even know they exist). It’s obviously gonna be slightly pricier than regular food but that’s expected with any speciality foods like this. Anyways overall great store.

I just discovered this location in my search for low carb, keto friendly products. They have, among other products, a vast array of low carb pasta choices that I hopped on as I love my pasta and sauce! Worth the trip with easy access, loads of paking and a knowledgeable staff ready to serve!

They stock sugar free sweeteners that we use mainly in coffees. Prepandemic we traveled to Bellingham to purchase them. They have a large selection of products to choose from. Prices are a bit high but on some products.

Didn't know this place existed. Had a friend recommend a product so away we went. Came home with so much more. Things we've looking for in stores for a long time but hardly ever found tbey have here in spades. Will deffinately be back and will reccomend whenever possible!

They have a lot of stuff I have never seen in conventional grocery store. I do find the prices high but it is all specialty items for a low carb diet. There is lots of variety. Plan to spend a few minutes exploring all the different products.

The best place to find those hard to find items. Friendly staff and ordering online is easy. If you are ordering breads make sure you order freezer packs for delivery. Every item came individual wrapped so no breakage.

I’ve ordered online with LCG for YEARS. They advertise free shipping for orders over $100. They have not changed their advertising. Yesterday I put my order in as usual. Today I get an email stating I need to pay an up-charge bc I have a rural postal code. Pay the up-charge or cancel the order. I call them and they are blaming this on Canada Post’s staffing shortage. So not free shipping as advertised. Unimpressed.

Amazing selection! Has everything you can think of! Most items here cannot be found anywhere else

Amazing! You can find all sorts of low carb, low sugar, keto, and high fibre/protein foods here. There’s some tough to find items that you thought were only available in America. But Lo and behold, they got them here! They also have delivery via their website, fast shipping, breads arrived still cold.

Nice small store with great selection and very helpful staff. Definitely will return. If looking for low carb options this definitely the place to go.

Finally a (mostly) one stop shop for low carb! Some of the prices might be a bit higher than other stores and that is why I only gave 4 stars. Otherwise, lots of options and variety and friendly staff.

Awesome shop! Place is always well organized and clean. Picking up online orders from this shop is also very easy! One of the only places that carry Walden farm sauces! I usually order online to pick up in store and do a little in store shopping as well as they have huge selection of low carb products. High recommended if your looking for some low carb low calorie products.

If you're looking for keto ingredients or snacks you have to go here. The assortment is extensive and creates a great variety of alternatives

Small grocery store that carries a number of low carb products. Love the variety and staff is friendly and helpful!

They currently place a limit on how many shoppers can be in the store at all times, plus floor signs for social distancing, which is great but can also be a bit of a wait.

Hopefully they can occupy a larger space in the future. I would definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for low carb food/ingredients.

I love this place! You can't find the majority of these items in regular grocery stores. They source products both locally and nationally/internationally. My favorite items to purchase here are low carb (and Paleo) breads. They have an amazing selection of dips, spreads, and sauces. They carry several great syrup alternatives. You can find monkfruit/erythritol and other sugar alternatives here as well. Great store!

Nice little store tucked away in a commercial building area. I enjoyed being able to see the scope of low carb options as opposed to the overwhelming feeling of going to a store that doesn’t focus on low carb exclusivity.

Because when you want to be healthy they have just what you need most times, although getting there can be confusing the 1st time

Quite a small store but they have a few items that are harder to find. Prices are quite marked up as I've seem several of their items at Supermarkets for alot less. Staff are not very friendly and very quiet. When asked some questions about thier products they just say "I don't know" and continue taking inventory which they seem to be doing constantly for some reason.

I only order online from them since I am in Alberta, but I have nothing but good things to say about them! Orders are always correct, and they always ship really fast. They pack everything the best I've seen from any company I order from.and if you have an issue they solve it right away. Just a fantastic company to deal with!

I was so excited to support a local business and I got their membership card as well, but I am not sure how they train their staff. Their Staff are not friendly at all. I decided to give them three or maybe four chances and my last experience was the worst one. I was in their store for about 10 minutes and one of their staff kept chasing me for the whole time (so disrespectful). I really hope they watch Market Place and don't categorize their customers. The price tags are not competitive either. I don't recommend this place. I will never go back there and I will cancel my membership.

They have a good selection of low carb and/or sugar free sauces, drinks, snacks and "bread" options. The average cost of a loaf of low carb bread is about $10. They also have w/w tortillas, pitas, and frozen baguettes & bagels by the unbun.

Great place to find a huge selection of low-carb, keto products. Friendly staff, good location, parking at the front. I recommend.

Good selection of products. Not cheap by any means, especially with Keto/ Low carb being "the thing" right now, and I would like a bit more consistency in the availability of products, but it is my go to store for low carb products for my diet. I'm very glad I found out about it.

Love it. Just started Keto. Nice to have something like this around to build knowledge of low carb alternatives.

Recently started a Keto diet. I've been struggling to find foods that I can eat - this place changed that. They have a huge selection of foods that I just thought I wouldn't be able to eat anymore while on this diet. It's a little pricey, but when you compare it to what I used to spend going out every night, not a problem!

Tricky to find but a treasure trove of things you can't buy in other places: keto foods, sugar free goodies, even bread and baking needs. Downside is everything very pricey, so prepare to pay. Specialty foods are hit and miss. Bought a bag of Dream Bagels for almost $11/6 - they look like bagels but not something I'll buy again. But for those who can't bake and beginning the Keto or Low Carb life - great place to shop

Great selection of low carb products and very helpful staff. One of the few places in Vancouver u can get decent low carb drinks. They have a web site that has low shipping rates, but it’s good to have a physical location where u can try a lot of different items and talk to the staff about what is new/tastes good. Love the Zevia raspberry black tea.

Only negative is that the location is a bit awkward to get to, would b better if they were somewhere in the Metrotown area instead.

This place is a diamond-in-the-rough if you're looking for sugar-free or low-carb alternatives to your favorite foods. Some of it is even Gluten Free!

Love this place get all my lilly chocolate bars from there and my pb2 and pasta and sauces and keto cookies, my keto go to place and love the young cashier there so friendly

Not worth it for hard core keto people this is more a convenient store then grocery store and high prices better off sticking to your own grocery store.

Some cool food you wont see other places. However you pay for the convenience of being able to get alot of the stuff in the same place. Things like sugar free ketchup you can find at places like superstore for much less but again not as convenient.

I hope one day it will be the size of Save On. Its great to see people are waking up to how healthy low carb is. I love the Walden farms maple syrup and thousand island salad dressing. Oh and the zero calorie iced tea!

As a low carb eater, this place is great. Always find something new to try out - they also stock the basics. I always pick up a bunch of the sugar free chocolates and sweeteners that are stocked there.

Great store and vital for people transitioning to Low Carb way of eating! Since switching my diet to get control of blood glucose I have found this store to have a great selection and quick delivery times. Occasionally I head to the actual store but it is just a small shop. I mainly order online and they have been great.

Nice place to find sugar free products! Some of them are just paleo friendly if you re on keto you should be careful when u choose products

They are a fantastic store. My gf went keto recently and they have breads and baked goods she can eat guilt free as well as a large supply and variety of brands. The prices are a bit high but when you factor in the size of the store and how specialty it is and how craft all the products are it makes sense. I can get some things cheaper there than the grocery store which is a bonus.

Just popped in to see what they have. There wasn't a lot on the shelves and the mark up on the stuff was extreme. Example coconut flour at save on foods is around $6-$7 for 454g, this grocery store wanted $16.
A lot of "sugar free" items for dietetics etc, still super pricy.
Price aside, the store was extremely bare, a lot of the shelves were empty or 4 or 5 items in a single line on a shelf.
Staff seemed to be busy doing their own thing.
The location is off the beaten track a bit. You have to go through the alleyway of the new development strip mall off Marine drive. So it wouldn't be an every week type of shop.
Overall, I wasn't impressed by the prices, quantity, quality, location or staff. So I rated it a 1 star establishment.
Great concept but didn't quite hit the execution.
