Is the best nail salon in Nanaimo! It has a very welcoming environment and everyone is so nice. I have never gotten a bad nail set, they pay attention to the detail.

I have had several appointments now with Taylor and she always does a great job with my nails. Everyone is so friendly and its a great atmosphere. I recommend the nail lounge to anyone who is looking for a salon!

I love it here! I have been coming to this salon for over 15 years! This is the best Nail Salon on the Island! If you want perfection and amazing levels of creativity this is the place for you! If you want a fun positive bubbly environment this is the place for you! However in the pedi area and waxing rooms it’s simply bliss, calm and cozy. Little shout out to The Nail Lounge! The Nail/Spa techs are all wonderfully talented in their specialties. I have enjoyed being a regular client of Mandys, and some other techs on occasion, and always come out with my new fav set each time. The new location is gorgeous, warm and inviting. Always looking forward to my next apt!

My feet were in bad shape from not taking good care of them. When i got a pedicure my feet not only look great but feel amazing. They did such a wonderful job.

I received my first set of acrylic nails in 7 years recently. The nail tech did a fantastic job but prior to application I asked If this will ruin my nails. She ensured me that it will not, and with proper removal from their salon, I won't end up with thin nails. I just went back and had my nails removed by a junior tech, Maya. It was the worst experience I've ever had in any service environment. She held the drill on my finger nails for too long, burning me several times. She let the drill slip, hitting my finger more than once. I had to yank my hands away from her twice and when I finally let out an audible "ow, " she gave an annoyed "sorry. " She was extremely rough and filed my nails down to the point that they're thin and flakey. It is painful to type, that's how damaged my nails are. She was 15 minutes late for the appointment and while she was removing my nails she was talking to her mother, distracted in the salon. I understand she is new but it's clear she needs more training. Despite what the first nail tech ensured, my natural nails are in fact ruined.

I’ve seen Jennifer for a number of years and she’s grown such an amazing team of talented artists. I’m always pleased with the service, and any grievance (though I’m sure are rare) they are quick to fix and ensure their customers are happy!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here. I worked with Sheena, their junior tech. She was so sweet and so accommodating. I broke several of my nails right before my gel polish appointment and not only did she help me figure out adding tips to even them she also cut into her lunch break to do it. I'm so happy with my nails will definitely go back

I went in about a week ago to get a set of acrylics from Sarah. The nails are great, colour, shape, length and durability. Conversation was a little awkward as a first time client but I think she could also tell I was anxious.

Very clean location and the girls really know what they're doing. The whole place has a really good friendly vibe and I always feel very comfortable there. I went here for over two years until I moved away, and I still make a point of booking in when I'm in town. I always recommend this place any chance I get.

I’ve been going to the Nail Lounge for almost a year now. I drive there from Port Alberni and let me tell you, it’s worth the drive. Mandy does my nails and she is fantastic. I now have the best nails I’ve ever had. She is also a very lovely human! In fact all of the ladies who work there are lovely humans! I love the fun up beat environment of the shop. They also have a very impressive selection of colours! 10/10 would recommend!

The nail lounge is the place to be if you want amazing nails! I haven’t had anyone do my nails the way these girls have. They are always on top of the newest trends and your nails actually look like the pictures you bring in of what you want. 10/10

Best nail place in Nanaimo hands down! Been going to nail lounge and seeing Sarah B for well over a year now for acrylics, when we first removed my nails from a different salon she showed me my nails underneath were nearly non-existent, torn apart thin and red. Since I’ve been coming here my natural nails are still healthy even after years of having acrylics. I get constant compliments on my sets now, the shape is always perfect and the nails are flat, even and show no signs of lifting even when I’ve gone 5 weeks without a fill. Also love that Sarah is always willing to try any photo or trend I show her, even if she hasn’t done it before! I always get what I want (or even better) and I will never go anywhere else!

I haven't gotten my nails done in a while I decided to get my nails done for halloween and I so happy I picked this place to get them done. They were so nice. They just did a breathtaking job I couldn't be happier thank you guys so much. You make me want to get my nails done way more often now like omg

I have been a customer at the nail lounge for almost 5 years and will not go anywhere else. I drive from a neighbouring town to have my nails done by Jen and her team <3 I always get compliments on my nails which is nice since I was a diehard nail biter for over 40 years. If you want beautiful nails that last then you need to call and book with one of the fabulous nail techs at the nail lounge, you will not be disappointed.

Love the Nail Lounge! Jen has been doing my nails for 7 years at least. I have always had issues with lifting before Jen did my nails, never since.
All the girls are lovely and very Talented and do fabulous work.

Super disappointed in my nails I got a couple weeks ago. The nails were lumpy and had bubbles. The shape wasnt even describable. Wouldn’t recommend

I was so excited to get an appointment, unfortunately the experience was not what I unexpected, my fill was not even satisfactory 'thick, lumpy, uneven, flat, not good. When I pointed out all the above to the person doing my nails she had a more experience nail tech take over and finish my nails, unfortunately the damage was done" the shape was no longer the same, they looked like bad stick on's, however she did her best to correct the over all look, I'm saddened by the whole experience, when too much product is applied and causes lifting around the cuticle there is only more lifting to come and now they have to be removed. I did rebook with another tech for next fill, but I won't be needing that appointment since my nails have been soaked off. ; (

I have been going to this nail salon since the day it opened, The staff here are very sweet, funny and kind, the service is above and beyond. My nails are long and take a bit more time, I've never felt rushed or that I was an inconvenience to any of the technicians that have done them. The ladies on staff are all very good at what they do, they bounce ideas off each other and get along well with each other and their clients. The owner has created an environment that is warm and friendly and a lot of fun to spend a couple of hours in. I have never had a bad set of nails from the Nail Lounge, and if I do manage to break one someone has always fixed it for me within a day or two. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants beautiful high quality nails!
