The Old Farm Market

Tried the new pizza shop there & without a dought that was the worst i have tried from hundreds, basic flatbread with a few toppings scattered on it, the old farm market is a great place but this pizza was garbage & thats were most of it ended up.

Great place for fresh produce, both fruits and veggies. The products look to be in great shape, are well presented and clean. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I can't speak to price comparisons as its not appropriate to compare international conglomerate purchase power to a small, local business. I can, however, suggest that the quality here, by far, surpasses what I'm seeing in the Supermarkets.

Liars! Baked goods meat pies, etc are NOT local as their own market motto on the tag indicates; they're Cysco and sausage roll was SO disgusting my husband even took one bite and threw the rest out! Need to change price tag that says local. Great store with lovely design and appeal except for that.

I've been going to the old farm market for as long as I can remember. Always find what I need and top notch quality. Well.today that streak came to an end. Bothered me enough to post a negative review. My wife and I were in there today. As we were walking up to pay I asked one of the young workers which til was open, as there was no staff at the tills. She sarcastically responded. "the one that doesn't have the closed sign". I ignored that comment and proceeded to check out my items. There were no tomatoes other than the small containers of bulk tomatoes. They were on for $2.99/ container. The girl rang them through as a higher price. I nicely mentioned they were priced lower so she asked another young employee how much they were. This person then said $2.99 but it looks like there are a few extras in there and walked away! I can't believe she accused me of adding extras to it. In front of my wife and other customers! Pretty much called me a thief. Gonna be a long time til I re-visit thus place again. Youth these days have no respect.or filters!

Best place in Duncan to buy fresh veggies, fruit and berries. Has a good deli too. Nearby coffee and ice cream shop.

Went to the coffee shop today for a hot dog. Could not believe how slight the weiner was. I have never seen a weiner that small. Should have saved my money.

Essential produce available from local farms. Missing produce can be ordered, just ask staff.
Go in and get greeted by a large gourd at the front door.

Regular stop on my way home from Victoria. Deli sandwiches are great and veggies prices for local produce are awesome.

This is by far my favorite Green Grocer on Southern Vancouver Island. They have reliable stock all year-round, and good/great stocks of local seasonal fruits. Unbeatable value.

I refuse to shop produce anywhere but the Old Farm Market.unless it's dire need. The market has local produce.thats always fresh. Great prices. And because it's local.or B. C.produce.it's unbeatable quality. We shop there at least once a week

It was absolutely amazing. Fantastic selection. Only a minor complaint. There was no breakfast sausages in the deli. But honestly? I will be returning.

I can always find high quality produce here. Today I bought a case of apples and a case of peaches. Good place to stock up for the winter.

Good variety for more locally sourced produce, but no BC grown garlic and a limited organic section. Staff are very helpful.

Fresh and local produce when available! Regular and unique Deli items not carries by other stores. Locally baked goodies and breads! Friendly front end staff and very helpful customer service staff who have sourced products in bulk when needed for school or church functions! Awesome local store and team.

My favorite place to go veggie shopping. The produce is well priced and a lot of local options. Great to see the great support for local farms. I'd love a bigger cheese selection and deli selection but the focus is produce:) Hope this store sticks around for a long time to come!

My wife & I love this farm market because they always have fresh produce from right here on the island including citrus, apples, etc.from the interior. Not only that but there are eggs, jams, sauerkraut, breads, cheeses, and a host of other yummy stuff. If you haven't ever stopped here, I wholeheartedly recommend it, and visit the other merchants as well, they are all good! We always stop when we're in the Duncan area.

Great store! Lots of very fresh options. This is a good spot to pick up a pumpkin for Halloween each year. With so many options being locally sourced, this is a good place to check out for food. I recommend checking out the Old Farm Market!

Hopefully management will read this! I DO love this store. It has an amazing selection. HOWEVER, they desperately need to develop a better system for their cashiers. I have a lot of experience with cashiering and specifically with the system they use. I know its quirks.but the way they have it set up is a bit inefficient. I feel bad for the cashiers. When they need to void an item (I'm assuming that is what's happening, it's happened twice while I've been shopping there) a supervisor or someone with authority needs to come and authorize it. Where this is probably fine in a normal situation.it isnt working for them. They dont have a proper communication set up with the other staff so they can request help faster. They have these bells that need to be rung to get the other staffs attention. Unfortunately it's not loud enough to hear in the back room obviously because both times I've been there when this happens it takes at least 5 minutes for them to get up to the cashier.when you have a line up, 5 mins is a long time. I love this store! Dont get me wrong. I will absolutely keep shopping here despite the issues.but management seriously needs to find a more efficient way for staff to communicate in the store other than the farm bells that don't seem to be loud enough. I would suggest an intercom or some kind of radio. I bet it would make a world of a difference to the cashiers!

This is the place to go to get all your vegetables locally and at a very good price, the produce is always fresh, great variety, awesome little deli, amazing sandwiches and sliced meats, lots of other produce stands to choose from, but my far the best price the staff and service is top notch, never had a bad experience or service highly recommend

This place is very old fashion and most of they're groceries are organic including strawberries, spinach, honey and many more. You can also find old tool around the walls outside of the market. The place make you feel like you are in another human age civilization. This place gives the really nice vibe of going back home to my original country I was born in.

We visit every time we go up island. A great little pit stop for leg-stretching, ice cream, and fresh fruit and veg for the road.
