Jordyn is a great stylist and she does a great job with my uncooperative hair that there is a lot of.
She's very professional and I'd rate them more than 5 if I could.

Kate has taken me from blue black to pink to now blonde. My hair is healthy and beautiful. I love this salon with all my heart

First time here and saw Sammy. The salon is beautiful, Sammy was great! All the other staff were super friendly. It was only my 4th haircut since I moved from Nanaimo as I'd had the same hair stylist for nearly 18 years. I will definitely be back!

I got a fade from Colt, and they did a fantastic job. They made me feel so comfortable, and I could not recommend more!:)

I just started going to the Old hat and had an appointment with a new stylist (Thalia). I felt like she cared and took the time to listen. She made me feel comfortable to take the leap and grow out my grey so I can start a new hair option where my grey hair won't run my life and be so high maintenance. I will see her in about 2 months and will post a picture on the outcome! I can't wait and I am so grateful. I also loved my haircut!

Amazing vibe. Gabe is absolutely fantastic, easy to talk to, and I always leave happy. Our entire queer family gets our haircut with Gabe, including our 5 year old who just left his first "big kid" haircut so happy with his fresh look!

The Old Hat is a GREAT place to go for all your hair needs… Piper has been doing my hair for nearly 13 years, tolerating many iterations of dyeing and terrible habits. The shoppe they have created has always been incredibly welcoming and accommodating - this location is no exception. Piper and their staff go above and beyond for their clients, and truly make you feel comfortable in your own skin as far as exploring your personal style expression. I have never walked away disappointed in a service nor felt pressured into buying a product. My hair and my heart are healthier and happier for knowing Piper and being a client in their space.

I have seen Sammy at the Old Hat several times now and she always does an incredible job! She’s always open to my creative requests such as undercuts and vivid colours and always recommends the best products to use and even made me a custom colour depositing conditioner for my bright green hair at no extra cost (just the regular conditioner price). Sammy always goes above and beyond and I would recommend her to any of my friends or family in a heartbeat. Plus, the Old Hat is a great hair shop with lots of character and in a beautiful convenient location:)

I’ve been going to Zoe for about 2 years now and she is AMAZING. Such a pleasure to chat with, and every single time I see her she somehow exceeds my expectations. She has helped me grow out a side cut, go from platinum blonde to dark brown, and then BACK to platinum (and managed to keep my hair healthy throughout the process). The whole shop has a great atmosphere, too. Highly recommend!

What a great experience coming to this hair shop! There was a slight misunderstanding over the phone and when we got there we thought we may be turned away, but Piper quickly jumped in and cut my daughter's while she had another client soaking in the sink! Not only did she give Riley the most perfect rock star pixie cut but she was so wonderful with her. I would 110% recommend this place to anyone looking for a rockstar haircut and I most definitely will be back.

I was lucky to have Piper take me in as a walk in conveniently as someone was late to a appointment. Piper sat me down and asked me what I was going for, I said what I was looking to achieve and piper was off to work! We had some laughs and I was educated on what was being done and how it would help combat the issues I've been having in styling my hair.

I was thrilled with the final result and experience.
If you're looking for a haircut I can't recommend Piper and her team enough!

What a gem of a salon! The decor is fun and funky and the stylists and barbers meet the needs of our whole family. Everyone comes out delighted with their cuts, colours, etc. Such a great find!

Zoe is an amazing hair stylist. I've been getting my hair done by Zoe for months now. They knows how to take an idea and run with it. If you want someone that listens to you, offers suggestions, and understands how important the whole hair process is- Zoe is the one! Zoe let me live my curly hair fantasy by giving me a haircut that works best for me and that reflects my own personality (and it was easy for me to style too!). They are sooo talented and super rad.
