The Old Spaghetti Factory (New Westminster)

Walked in on a busy night, and my friend and I were able to be seated in 10 minutes! Service and food were great! Shoutout to Ashley, she was a fantastic server!

One of the best restaurants. Foods are very delicious and the Waiters are very nice. Jade, is nice and he has very good customer service

I ABSOLUTELY AM CRAZY ABOUT THE SOURDOUGH BREAD. I just love it! Had salt & pepper wings & ceaser salad, they were great! It is really busy when I came though, so we had to wait a while. The food took a while too, but it was totally worth it!

Came in to the restaurant more than an hour before close, the server ignored our table of 6 the entire time, and we ended up getting our food right when it was closing time. Ended up being the last people in the place as they set up the tables for next day's breakfast. Disappointed. Not likely to go back there. The food was not good at all: dry steak when I asked for medium rare, just overall not great.

The asthethic vibe at the old spaghetti factory really turned me on. The food and the service was awesome. The server told in depth about each italian dish and the cake she suggested was literally the best.

The host looked like he was bored with his job, also the air conditioning was blasting and so cold, we left and went to a Greek restaurant instead!

I went Old spaghetti factory on Sunday.
I know it is Sunday. You guys would be busy a lot.
I ordered a glass of wine and beer.

I didnt get my drink. I tried to make eye contact with the servers, but they ignored it and passed.
Even though I called the server when he and she passed, they just passed. The other guests at the table who saw this were also embarrassed by the server's reaction.

When I got the bill, I saw that the drinks were charged together, and I told them I didn't get the drinks. Even the new Bill didn't bring it back quickly.

It's one of the worst restaurants in Metro Vancouver

Fast courteous service in a clean bright comfortable room. Tasty food, inexpensive house red.reasonable prices. I had the seafood linguine in a nice marinara sauce.

If you are not in a hurry, this place is very suitable for dinner, and the environment is not bad.
But be patient, because there are many people and not many waiters, the service speed will be relatively slow, usually it may take more than half an hour from being seated to ordering food.

Majority of the time we have awesome waiters/waitresses and some who notice us (as semi regulars) to see how we are.

Took awhile to be seated even though there were seats available. Food and service was good. Bread was good and so was ice cream at the end.

One of the cutest places I’ve been to in Canada, definitely coming back. Starting from hospitality to the design. Staff were amazing! Especially my waitress Courtney! Portions are definitely worth the price, they’re large and I was so full I didn’t even have room for desert. Lasagna was great and calamari bites as well.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Our group tried different pasta options from seafood marinara to seafood Alfredo to penne chicken, matched with chowder and Caesars salad.chicken wings and calamari for appies. Ambience is eclectic and nostalgic.

Our favorite Spaghetti Factory! It's clean, quick, friendly, kids love it and you get your money's worth here. My faves are the spinach salad, calamari, clam chowder, steak, mushroom Alfredo spaghetti, lasagna, and the manicotti. We almost always gladly get sat with Ibrahim who is the best.

Worst Service/Restaurant Experience I’ve Ever Had

Had a family dinner here on July 9th. Now I’ve been to both the New West and Gastown Old Spag locations multiple times for various occasions, and our server Malika (I believe was her name) provided some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. She started out okay but as the night progressed she became increasingly rude with a nasty attitude towards my family at the table, we saw her dart dirty looks at us and made unnecessary comments. I understand handling a large party can be difficult, as well I too am in the industry so I also understand how guests can be frustrating but you can’t visibly show it and be rude to my family it’s never the way to go about it. She seemed miserable almost as if she didn’t even want to serve us or even be working there, as well the manager Hazel was rude/disrespectful to us when we asked to speak to her about the auto tip as we felt the service didn’t reflect the 18% auto gratuity. They were both quite unprofessional.

I really hope this wasn’t the case but I also felt there was a prejudice against us because we were of Indigenous background, it felt as though they thought we couldn’t afford to be there when that wasn’t the case. One of my elderly family went to the washroom whilst we were settling the bill and a busser ran outside as if she tried to leave, we had to go after him just to tell him she was in the washroom so that made us feel extremely disregarded/belittled.

To comment on the food in short, half of us actually enjoyed our dinner while the other half of our pasta was either dry or disappointingly small portions. And minestrone soup was cold.

I’m not entirely sure what has happened to this restaurant possibly poor new management or a change in recipe/food quality, but I would give 0 stars if I could. Overall quite the terrible experience, and I’ve had great experiences with Spag even at this location, wish we had got someone else because even the other servers were nice to us. Seriously avoid this location at all costs and consider heading to Gastown.

Incredibly depressing staff, waitress staff around 8: 30-9pm couldn’t be less interested in visiting the table. Manager sat us, but a different person came to the table to deliver whatever was ordered, never checked on, snarky attitudes. They were more concerned with going on breaks and talking with each other than serving any of the tables near us; another table next to us said they were completely stiffing their waitress?

I didn’t expect much since I can make pasta at home, but this place seems incredibly mismanaged with a bunch of antsy children would would rather loaf around and get paid while the manager does what?

The food is consistently good and the staff are always friendly. Great restaurant for family meals

Service is okay, not that great, busy place good vibe. Once in a while u can visit this place, felt better than olive garden.

We had a good time at the old spaghetti factory I found the spaghetti meat sauce has barely any meat in it the mozzarella triangles were great. Service was very.thank you
