The Park Theatre has a very comfortable seating system…we booked our tickets online and choose our seats.the movie we watched was Oppenheimer which needed the 70 MM screen and very excellent sound system…the popcorn was very tasty…a very cool experience in this special Movie Theatre.

Such a great older theatre showing all the new movie favourites, with comfortable seats, and very friendly staff. In the heart of Cambie Village, excellent walking distance.

Watched Oppenheimer on the 20th of August, The views were good enough but I think since cineplex bought it they can make improvement to the chairs and the floors might need cleaning.
Little confused with the snack line and ticket check line but I guess it was my first time.
It’s good to still have film movie in the city and it was my first time so I really enjoyed.

No other food selection except an old popcorn, candies & pop.

30 year old theater seats. Smelly & gross.

I like this cinema because it shows a variety of films from the latest Hollywood films to classic older films such as 2001, Casablanca, and Yellow Submarine.

An old theatre with restricted view if someone sits in front of you. Only came here because it was the only location for a foreign movie. Seats are old and uncomfortable.

Pretty old school tho has a lot of charm. Seats are comfy but the screen could be updated and the aircon competes with the sound system. Staff are the best tho and it’s great to still have some neoghbourhood single screens around.

I love how old school
The theatre is especially for watching a period piece. Friendly staff, basically had the place to ourselves. Loved it.

I love going to the park cinema to watch movies. It's an old fashion theatre with only one screen! It's worth going for a movie you're really looking forward to seeing.

I have been going to that theatre since I was a kid. Comfortable and cozy theatre. Usually plays up to date movies too!

This is the only other theater that plays The French Dispatch in town right now. I was more than surprised to find out how clean and cozy this neighborhood movie house was. It was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely visit again.
03 February 2022 21:43
Its a cute little theater with one room but it's complete with a concession. Everyone is very warm and friendly here and hope to come here again as it's easy to get to and very simple to go in and watch a movie.

Good films generally but they will not cary change for cash. Commercials and trailer sound set to excesive volume. Will bring eyemask earplugs and change next time.

Way to go Cineplex! You turned a great theatre into the most uncomfortable place to see a movie in the city. You did it!

On Saturday November 20 my friend and I attended the 7pm showing of The French Dispatch. He is in a wheelchair. We entered the theatre and showed our tickets. I needed to go back and pay for parking, which ended up taking a while.
A young male staff member assisted my friend who was left waiting for me. He brought him around to a separate entrance, and escorted both of us to our seats in the back of the theatre.
He made sure we were comfortably seated and told us about the washroom setup.
When the movie ended, he was immediately by our side, and helped us exit the theatre. We were so pleased for the gracious help and would encourage others to select this theatre for a friendly movie experience.

Great cozy local theatre. Handy to lots to do eateries in the Cambie Village. Also home to a wonderful, welcoming local and diverse church called Trinity Central.

Places like these need to be preserved. Its ambiance, history, and location couldn't be cooler. The outside of the theatre with its cinema sign is photogenic with a down-to-Earth sort of feel.if I'm making any sense. Anyways, it's the first theatre I've been to since the covid pandemic hit. The Park does a good job of encouraging social distancing (eg: empty rows and staggered seating). Felt pretty safe when watching the Bourdain documentary. Wear your most comfortable mask and go see a movie at the Park. You won't regret it. Let's hope the Park Theatre doesn't go the way of the dodo like the Ridge.

Nice neighborhood theatre. Good popcorn. Hope this theatre doesn't fall victim to the wrecking ball like so many other heritage buildings in Vancouver. It's getting difficult to distinguish Vancouver from Hong Kong (though I must confess that I've never been to the latter.)

Theatre is nice but Cineplex is one of the worst companies in Canada. Can't believe we've let them monopolize the market (at least where I live).

This is a proper neighbourhood single-screen cinema. It's huge, has a good screen and good sound and the seats are comfortable. It's within a neighbourhood so lots of people can walk to it and it has decent transit service, on two frequent bus routes. There are neighbourhood cafes and restaurants on the same block for before and after. What's not to love!

The film version of our movie didn’t play so they showed the digital version and gave us free movie passes.

Awesome old school theatre. Great staff and the theatres 70mm films are fantastic. Keep em coming @cineplex. Tenet was insanly good on 70mm

Perhaps because of the current pandemic, the theatre was eerily near empty when we went to see Emma. Otherwise, we always love going to Park Theatre to see films. It has the traditional feel to it, unlike the moders super-cinemas that's increasingly popping up.

My favourite movie theatre in the city. It’s old and has a nostalgic feel. It was the place where I watched my first movie as a kid so it’s sentimental to be able to take my own kids there. I prefer the small, quaint feel to the huge ones with all the unbearable bright lights and the crazy sounds of video games. This is what a movie theatre should be.

One of my favourite movie theatres in the city. Only one screen - popcorn is made to eat so it's pretty delicious.

Had a great experience at the Park Theatre today. Went in to watch Jojo Rabbit at 4.30pm and as the movie was about to play, the projector experienced technical difficulties. After about 20 minutes the problem was solved and normal service resumed but the usher and the manager were calm and did their best to handle a rather grumpy crowd well. We were given vouchers for our next visit upon exiting the cinema which was an unnecessary but very appreciated touch. Hats off to the 2 staff running the theatre. An unlucky situation that was dealt with really well. We will be back.

Great independent theatre. A little bigger than the Vancity Theatre but will normal theatre seats. The staff was friendly and the concession did not gouge on pricing. Would happily go again.
08 December 2019 21:10
Long time neighborhood theater. Comfy seats with movable arm rests good for cuddling on a date night
25 October 2019 20:25
Great theater - despite being part of a chain the Park maintains its neighbourhood theater charm. And they show 70mm film baby.
06 October 2019 5:23
Not stadium seating so if it's a crowded theatre you may find yourself straining your neck to see around the basketball player who sits in front of you.
19 September 2019 10:30
Handy movie theater in the heart of Cambie, good sound system, street parking available and many eateries nearby.
14 September 2019 14:51
I love this theater.the pop corn always tastes old though my dogz.get some fresher corn and get that 5th star.
02 September 2019 17:48
It's a nice theater in the neighborhood. Since it owned or operated by Cineplex, i would expect it to be cleaner.
Everything inside feels dated, and not necessarily in a good way.
They should turn into a concept like the Alamo theaters in the US
08 August 2019 10:46
Great cinema, great sound. I find it tends to show the good films that have come out rather than the superhero blockbusters the chains show. Attracts a decent crowd, unlike the scotiabank dt. Spacious seats/legroom. Not very good if you’re sitting at the back because it’s a long cinema, too many distracting heads.

Movies shown they way they are meant to be. One of my favourite cinemas in the city. Be part of a community as you wait in line together outside. Take advantage of all that mount pleasant has to offer, stop at rain or shine for a cone while you wait. The small lobby and single screen are nostalgic, a stepping back in time and setting the mood for a couple hours of escapism. I find lots of people are on their own here, single viewer cinephiles.
31 May 2019 19:23
Very comfy seats, lots of leg room. Screen sight lines are not raked like the newer theatres. No cahier at the front of house to pay cash for tickets. Had to use the self serve kiosks. Found out afterwards that the concession stands take cash for tickets. Very annoying. Luckily the show was not a sell out otherwise the line ups at the concession stand would have been long and slow.
24 April 2019 14:50
This is an older theatre but has had some technological upgrades over he years.
Pros: lineups are fairly short even on opening night because of the location away from down town.
It is also fairly large.
Starbucks is right next door so good coffee is handy.
Cons: The Theatre has only a small slope so hope that you don't get a tall person in front of you.
20 April 2019 16:49
The popcorn and snacks were great, the staff was helpful and amiable, and the seats were very comfortable, making the viewing experience fantastic. But this theatre earned its 5 stars after I left the theatre. I left my wallet at the theatre after the movie, and the manager went out of his way to get it back to me promptly. The atmosphere is great and I would strongly recommend a visit here.
22 March 2019 12:09
I love that the theatre is so old timey. The less number of people can be a great experience. Plus I love the popcorn. They stream great movies which almost transport you back in time
