A favourite ramen spot! Every meal we’ve had has been absolutely packed full of flavour! The service is friendly and food gets rolled out quickly. Really affordable for the portion size and quality.
We love getting a chicken karaage to share, not greasy at all, highly recommend!

Alright, so this ramen joint is basically a flavor party, and the VIP guest is hands down the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen.

Imagine a bowl of broth that's like a hug for your taste buds – rich, velvety, with a hint of magic from the black garlic. The noodles? Perfectly done, like they've got a secret handshake with the broth. And don't get me started on the gyoza – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, they're like the cool sidekick stealing the show. It's not just a meal; it's a whole vibe, from the cozy setup to the top-notch service.

This ramen spot is basically a foodie's dream come true.

Ramen itself was good but the kaedama was dry and solid unlike other ramen places where they've been cooked. Also felt pressured to pay right away which is a big pet peeve.

Just had meat that was 60% fat- used to love coming here but now it's nearly 50 dollars for two bowls of ramen and the meat quality is horrendous

I am extremely happy with my ramen. I got the orange miso ramen with extra noodles, the broth was flavorful and creamy, my egg was at the right firmness for me, and the pork was melting in mouth. Compared to other ramen places this is the best pork I have had so far in Vancouver. My ramen portion was pretty big and although we got gyozas with my partner to try, they were unnecessary.

I would surely visit again and I highly recommend.

Delicious vegan options! Free noodle refill. It's a small and busy place but that doesn't take away from the wonderful food. Friendly staff. Great location. Thanks!

We’re pretty disappointed. It’s essentially a half serving of ramen compared to what other restaurants offer for takeout. It’s a ramen with almost no broth. We won’t order from here again for the price they charge.

Great service. Host was helpful to help me choose the best dish - as it was my first time. Clean environment and food tastes great.

Best ramen I have had. Too bad it is a ways from where I live, but it will be worth the effort to go back and try out other menu items.

I ordered the fruit liquer flight, with the pear, yuzu and plum rose and they were all great. To eat I had black garlic ramen with extra free noodles on the side! Very delicious overall and would definitely recommend!

Black garlic oil and cha Shu was pretty oily. Wish they asked if would we could get it less fatty!

Friday nights are usually busy with a wait to be seated. They don’t have a time limit so there may also be people nursing their drinks. Good menu selection which some options to explore different flavors. The red curry ramen is spicy with prawns, I really enjoy! Black garlic ramen is also great! Just the right amount of garlic. They have a sake flight which has a good selection.

I tried spicy ramen and it was good! The portion is not big and it’s good for me. Their classic gyoza was not great…but staffs are nice!

Terrible. This was my go to place as I work in the neighbourhood. A friend and I went and there was a line up so we put our names down on a list. We waited at least 15 minutes before we noticed people were just walking in and being seated. We asked the one staff there what was going on and she just said that she was just seating people. Great. WHY DO THEY HAVE A LIST? She said that we have to wait with a non caring flat affect. Made my friend and I feel like a bag of smashed apples with her attitude. There were at least 3 people that got seated before us while we waited outside. Thanks for nothing.

Cool space, love all the origami cranes. A lot of work went into them! The service here is really good. I loved my black garlic ramen, it was very flavourful. We also got the gyoza with cheese on top but I don't feel like it added much to the gyoza. I'll try different flavour next time. My partner got the tsukemen and he enjoyed it!

Checking passports the other day, nice high ceilings, proper spacing - all covid measures I appreciated. Highly recommend the red spicy ramen and daikon salad, skip Okonomi gyoza (toppings overwhelmed the gyoza).

This place is really original, especially with the origami cranes just outside the shop! The service is friendly and the ramen tasty! We definitely enjoyed our food there!

Tasty ramen in the heart of Chinatown. I really liked the garlic tonkatsu!

Their staff were really nice and gave us plates to share these donuts we brought from another location.

Ordered the Mini Spicy Teri Don and the black garlic ramen, and both were absolutely phenomenal. Would come back.

Delicious and not too expensive either. Knocked a star off because our servers seemed really disorganized at the end of the night and we were left waiting for our desserts for a while.

THE BEST RAMEN IN VANCOUVER! MUST GO! The coconut curry ramen is so delicious, it's life changing. The beautiful human in this picture with me is one of the chefs, they always make it with love!

Love how they crunch the sesame and make into the soup! Ramen is very chewy! I definitly will go back!

Their classic tonkatsu was extremely savoury and delicious! My friend enjoyed the tsukemen as well, the broth was excellent. We had their almond pudding and found it a little too small for their price but still tasty. Menu selection is mostly limited to noodles, a few selection of gyoza exists, but a great ramen place. Service is attentive and courteous too! I also love how your first bowl of ramen refill is free, because you could use some more as their broth is so delicious.

I don't quite get the hype. Karaage was soggy and dry. Like it was pre cooked and then reheated in oil that wasn't hot enough. The gyoza flavour was ok but skin was soggy and falling apart before you can even put it into your mouth. The classic ramen was bland, noodles mushy. Yokohama ramen was better but still not very flavourful. My first and last time here.

Legit ramen place. Every ramen place uses a certain type of noodle. The Ramen Butcher's noodle is smooth and bouncy.very nice texture. The broth is tasty and creamy. The pork is to die for. It just melts and is delicious. If you're hungry, your first kaedama for ramen noodle is free. We also tried their chicken Cha shu which is delicious. Tender and soft with a nice ponzu dressing on it. It was like chicken sashimi but obviously not raw. Prices are reasonable and in keeping with other ramen places. Definitely will be back.

Food was pretty good. I got the red spicy garlic ramen and thought that the broth was very rich and porky (as it should be). Level 3 spicy was not as spicy as I expected it to be, but it was quite oily For my liking. Regardless, the staff was very welcoming, nice, always made sure my cup of water was refilled and quick.

Definitely would order from here again.

Got ramen delivery from The Ramen Butcher. We've dined here before, and the quality has been fine, so I decided to order the Yokohama Iekei ramen to try something different. Unfortunately it was insanely greasy and not enjoyable at all. The picture shows a creamy broth, with a mix of pork and chicken broth, like all the other ramen places I've tried in town. The bowl I got looked mostly like as a thick layer of clear chicken grease on top of shoyu broth. There was so much oil I couldn't drink the broth at all. The noodles were great, and the kaarage was great, but I will not be ordering the Iekei ramen from here again.

I ordered special because of my allergies and they made it perfect and it was amazing, my new favorite ramen place for sure! Also the gyoza was the best in the city I Definitely recommend

The is perhaps the worst ramen I ever had in Vancouver. The soup base taste totally awful and the noodle itself is a complete failure. Hopefully the owner will truly put in some extra efforts to bring the ramen up to par with other Japanese ramen places in Vancouver.

There are some vegetarian/vegan options. Also lots of cold noodle to choose from, which is great considering the heat lately. The dishes look great.

Got the Classic Tonkotsu and the Black Garlic ramen. The broth is very flavourful and creamy. But not too creamy where you feel bloated. Their chashu pieces are also on the big side which is nice.

Make sure to save enough soup to get a free bowl of extra ramen noodles. Also to note their ramen noodles were more like Chinese egg noodles than ramen noodles.

The only downside was that it was hard to flag down a waitress as the waitresses don’t check in on you.

This visit was during COVID times so they had a sign in sheet, hand sanitizer pump with a foot pedal, and distanced seating. There’s also a patio now too!

The Ramen Butcher was great. They have a wide variety of Ramen and an equally amazing selection of sides. The one down side is that like many ramen places the seating can be limited so it's not the best for large groups.

One of the best ramen in Vancouver, i have been eating here two years now and never get disappointed my favorite the classic ramen today I try the butcher one (in the pic) and is amazing I recommend the place a lot.

Soup not hot, noodle not ramen chewy. It was white thin noodle. It was like Chinese style noodle. Chicken karrage not hot or crispy but soggy. Very disappointing to see a Japanese run ramen shop so bad.

Very good and different recipes than thr usual menus elsewhere. I really like how the noodles are home made and fresh. You can really taste it!

For my first Ramin meal it was very flavour some and delicious. The spiciness was proportional. Not over powering. Friendly staff and very trendy setting. Covid-19 protocols followed and really made me feel safe and at ease. Would definitely try them again.

Tons of variety, lots of different flavours and choices. All very reasonably priced and with a quick serving as well. Did have the red sprint, and was expecting a little more nite when ordering level two of three. Might have to wait, make sure you go in and put your name on the list. Meters all around to park at.

Checked out this ramen restaurant a couple of nights ago. It was my first time eating at this place. My friend took me here because it was his favorite ramen place in the city. After eating there, I could see why! I got the Red Spicy Ramen (level of spiciness - 2 chillies) (bottom left of photo). I had the option of getting either fatty or lean pork. Got the fatty! To me, the two main factors that determine the level of greatness for ramen include 1.) broth flavor and 2.) tenderness of meat. The ramen broth was really tasty and creamy. The meat was tender and not overly fatty. We also tried their spicy gyoza dumplings, which were really good as well! This place gives noodle refills (first refill is FREE)! The service was great! I would definitely go back again!

I love this ramen place! The broth is creamy and the ginger perfectly complements the richness of the broth. The place is not as busy as the other ramen joints as well. Also, you get 1 free noodle refill!

I needed a quick fix of ramen and this place was close by. Ordered the basic ramen but had to pay extra for a medium size egg. Why do ramen shops charge extra for an egg when it used to come with it? Nickle and dime-ing you for extra $. Don't like it. The broth is good but the size of pork is small and I asked for lean pork but got one with more fat than I wanted.

This is an authentic Japanese ramen place with hakata-style men (noodles). Several interesting flavour choices designated with colours (black, red, green and orange) as well as the traditional "classic". I ordered the "black" which was black garlic. I was served shortly after ordering and looked delicious although I thought that there should be some more broth, especially if you want kaedama (extra serving of noodles). I was careful not to drink too much of broth and ended up having enough for one kaedama. The flavour was ok but not anything special. I'll try a different colour next time to see if any of them are better.

Noodles are quite hard (even moreso for the free refill ones). Maybe try asking for your free refill noodles to be included with the initial portion when you go here (I dunno if they’d do this but I’ll try next time I’m here). Super fast service. I enjoyed the soup but I like salty things; my girlfriend found it too greasy. Cranes in the back ceiling were cool.

Wow. Best ramen I have ever had! Number 3 the black garlic was pit of this world. My girlfriend loved my burps for a good 12 hours afterwards. 10/10 would burp again

One of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the broth was full of flavour, and the chashu was soft and tender. Excellent service, and very little wait time after ordering. Would definitely recommend ordered extra noodles is you are eating ramen, the first bowl is free!

Food was amazing. Service was sub par. Our server didnt attend us at all and left us sitting at the start and end for 15 minutes. Another server had to take over our table cause the other girl didnt.

Our go-to ramen in Vancouver. Quality and good execution in the food, decor and service make this little shop worth coming back to. Very rich savory broth with a punch of flavour of your choosing (we're fond of the green basil), make sure to enjoy every last drop.
Family-friendly with high chairs and no problem seating small and medium-sized groups. There are only a small number of seats, so go at off-peak hours or expect a wait.but the wait is worth it!

Great ramen, even for a rookie. The staff is very helpful and the menu offers a wide variety of different ramen and appies. Located in China town, this is a place that shouldn't be missed. Highly recommended.

The Ramen Butcher is a great spot to warm up on a rainy Vancouver day. My wife and I visited the restaurant for a late lunch so we were able to quickly find a seat. We both had ramen and were impressed with the quality of the broth and how full the bowls were. We had the orange miso and butcher ramen, both of which were delicious.

A bowl of soup is large, but filling for one person. Come hungry and leave warmed with delicious soup.

The neighborhood is an interesting place to walk around and enjoy the sights and smells of Chinatown.

Just happened to have stumbled onto this place and it was an impressive experience. Excellent food and service. Have tried many ramen places in Vancouver and this has been my favorite one so far.

Small portion and refill noodle was half cooked. All of our orders came with little broth (see the picture of the menu, all the bowls came in with much more broth). Even if we felt like having a second serving of noodle (btw, 1st refill of noodle is free), the broth had gotten cold and not enough. Hopefully, it was not the intention of the restaurant to put less broth in each to discourage people from asking for noodle refill, or with less broth, it didn't have to put in as much ingredients in the bowl to fill it up (a cost saving technique). We ordered a noodle refill anyway. It came not fully cooked. It hurt my gum to eat the noodle.: (

This is one of the hidden gems of restaurants we have in Vancouver. You'll find yourself drinking most of your soup before you have a try at the noodles and toppings. The servers also offer an extra bowl of noodles free of charge to finish off the rest of your soup.

Delicious food. The broth was amazing staff was helpful and very friendly. Took my grandparents here for their first ramen experience and they loved it. Will definitely be going back.

Good soup base, very tasty egg with semi liquid york. Noodle seems a bit hard to me. Will recommend to my friends. If u are not salt lover, request less salty soup base. We requested less salty but still taste lightly salty for us. Last but not least, nice customer services too.

Their ramen was really good but not the best I’ve tasted. Broth was not too heavy and had a great flavor to it. Noodles were a bit too soft for my liking as it was cooked a little bit more than al dente. Their mini curry don was really good! If you love japanese curry, you’re in for a treat. Service was lacking considering it wasn’t busy during the time we went. However, they were very friendly and made sure we knew how to eat tsukemen.

This was the first ramen place that helped me understand what the ramen hype was about. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced compared to a lot of the mediocre ramen places in New York City that all taste very similar and cost much more. I am not a ramen connoisseur and have not been to the well-known and pricier ramen places. For me, the fact that this place was fairly priced and super tasty hit the spot. This is taking into account that my idea of how fairly priced this place is must be different from someone in Vancouver due to currency exchange. All in all, love it!

I’m not shy to say that the queue from a famous place across drove me to eat here, but I’m glad I did. The spicy ramen was amazing, with seasonings and spice really coming through. And the tsukumen was equally flavourful. The sliced pork and charsiew were very tender and delicious as well.
The servers were very friendly and helpful and the food came promptly.
Limited paid street parking available. Accessible entrance, accessible restrooms.

Absolutely love this place, best food ever, amazing price and all the waitresses are so sweet. Our waitress was Rie, she's an absolute delight! She made our night, especially with the delicious food.

Great ramen. Good solid tasty meaty broth and noodles are bouncy and chewy. Chashu has a good pork flavour to it still as some places have stewed the pork flavour right out of the chashu. I got the black garlic ramen bowl and my boyfriend got the original bowl and I have to say I like the original more. Very comparable to ramen I've had in Japan and I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food with options for selecting lean meat or fat, as well as the types of noodles. They also have a longer happy hour than most places, and friendly staff with great service.

I got the classic ramen and it was very good; perfect balance of broth and noodles. Not too filling like most places. There is communal seating as well as private tables. Service was quite friendly.
