WORST EXPERIENCE in a nightclub in Vancouver. I read this has happened before to many people, which makes me really sad. My friends and I arrived at 9: 20pm and had already paid for the guest list. It was supposed to be valid until 11pm. But we had to wait 1.5 HOURS IN LINE! And by the time we finally made it to the entrance, it was 11: 03pm, and they wanted us to pay the cover. I explained to the person receiving the money that I didn't think it was fair, we waited almos 2 hours in line and it was only 11: 03pm, to which the man replied in a very rude way, that if I didn't want to pay, I could leave. I expressed again my complain and he started yelling at me, and my friends. The lady at the entrance snapped her fingers to my friends, asking us to move and to leave. And the man who decides who comes in, was INCREDIBLY RUDE to all of us. I told him that if they didn't make us wait for that long in line, maybe we could had entered in time for the guest list to be valid. And he replied "if you had arrived earlier this wouldn't had happened". So they want us to arrive at 5pm? Anyway, they yelled and treated us horribly. WORST SERVICE, WORST NIGHTCLUB. This is not the way you treat people who are paying to have a good time. Specially Mexicans on September 15th.

I’ve been to the RedRoom twice now as an ontario resident while here on vacation.i’ve been to clubs all across north america and have been attending dubstep shows for over a decade now.a) someone needs to tell the girl with the red hair (was braided on saturday the 29th) who loves to stand at the door and let her friends in to lay off the coke.both times i’ve been here she has gotten in my face and yelled over minor misunderstandings.sorry i didn’t have the double stamp, that doesn’t give you a right to get in my face and yell at me, maybe you guys need a better system or explanation for the non locals? !? !

b) get some air movement in the place.how much does it cost to hook a few fans up in the ceiling.you are killing your attendees

c) nearly five dollars for a bottle of water from the bar.this is a crime in itself and promotes dehydration and further alcohol consumption

the rest of the staff was awesome.the guy who scanned my ticket was super nice and helpful, the security guard who searched me was also very respectful.but the fact both times i’ve been here the same person has gotten in my face tells me there is a weak link at the door.these are suppose to be safe spaces and i almost turned around and walked away before i even got to dance based on extreme anxiety and discomfort.

Amazing club for a night out! Fridays are latin night, and subculture Saturdays have great bass, dnb and house nights - bringing in well known and underground gem DJs.

Best bartenders and bouncers ever who keep everyone safe:)

Last night was my first Red Room experience, and will deffinitely not be my last. As a person who struggles in large crowds, it was the most inviting and positive atmosphere I have ever seen in an indoor venue in my 10+ years of playing/attending shows. Thank you to the entire Digital Motion crew, that was special.

Latin night is super fun once you actually get inside the red room! Just beware that prepaying for guest list doesn’t do anything and you still have to stand in line (i waited 90 minutes with guest list), cover is super expensive, mandatory coat check which is either $5 or free with a 5 star review?

I was there Friday night, bouncers were nice, the music was okay (they play too much reggaeton), and the space is large and great for dancing. The bartenders were rude though, and the coat check girl was specially rude, she was very short with people and refused to help or even look at me when asking a simple question

Subculture sat is fun and most of the time the music isn’t bad. Better clubs around with cheaper drinks and less entitled bar staff though. It stinks of BO since I’m at armpit level height and the place gets crazy hot too.

Stay away from this place. Stuff will literally blackmail you.
It might be tempting since they Saturdays dnb production brings pretty good artists but believe me, you'd rather save yourself the trouble of being blackmailed by their security guards, cleaners (!) and especially the guy who sells perfumes at the men's bathroom. Just stay away from this place and go to another club if you wanna enjoy the night without it being ruined by lowlifes

Always a great Saturday night out - fave venue in Van. I have a hard time going to any other club downtown. Some of the best artists I've seen here, theyre always dropping the best lineups.pk sound - amazing. Safeculture harm reduction team and informed staff help keep those vibes just right.

I love the Red Room. You can see the stage from pretty much everywhere in the club except the bathrooms. They host a good variety of events - I've been to electronica nights, goth/alt nights, queer nights, all have been a blast. One time the bartender recommended a particular drink to match my outfit - 10/10.

Subculture Saturdays are awesome! This place books great DJs, the crowd is excellent, and the sound is amazing.

Love the Red Room! Specifically Subculture Saturdays. They book the best DJs and it’s my favourite venue for dancing! Staff are great and props for having great harm reduction services!

I started going to RR in 2018. My first show was SHAMBHALA pre-party. This place has really good sound system. Really awesome staff that remember you the more you go. Thank you RR for putting on good shows. My favourite show to date has to be charles the first in 2019. RIP big guy.

The chunky ginger bouncer roasted me unprovoked at the door and it was lowkey funny but he can sucondese, 5 stars for that

Subculture Saturdays is the best party in the city. A smaller venue with a killer sound system booking some of the best electronic artists in the scene. Fun crowds and a friendly rave-y vibe. Absolutely recommend.
Needs some improvements to the HVAC system though, when you come dress for heat.

Worst clubbing experience of my life. Horrendous music and rude staff members for a ridiculous cover of 30 $. Never again!

We visited this place last Friday and enjoyed our time there.
This place had awesome vibes, with an energetic crowd and good music.it was Cancun night and it was mostly Spanish music. However, DJ was so good that even though we don't know Spanish we enjoyed the music.

The entry fee is 25$ and the Drinks are a bit pricy but that is not too bad. There is more than 1 bar counter that makes it quicker to grab a drink.

Overall i enjoyed the time and will visit again.

Every show I attend here on Subculture Saturdays ends up being some of the best events in Vancouver. For all bassheads, lovers of electronic music / EDM, and people wanting to go hard. Red Room has you covered!

Red Room always provides the best atmosphere, from the sound system to the lighting to the staff. Their Subculture Saturdays are not to be missed if you love bass music.

This is my favourite constant place to go dancing in Vancouver! Smaller venues around vancouver that actually book QUALITY electronic acts are few and far between. There's a bunch that were great, but they didn't stand the test of time (RIP Lotus, W2, etc) but the Red Room stands strong! They always book amazing acts, and the vibe on the dancefloor is always perfection. I've been going here for 13 years (whoa. I just realized 2009 was 13 years ago) and I look forward to coming there for 13 more. This place feels like home, if home were a club. Photos from the most recent SUBculture Saturdays. Bouncers are like stray dogs hungry to steal our money. Bouncers would not let a single person in unless they pay a 100 dollar tip per head at the entrance. Imagine waiting in line for hours and when you reach the front, the bouncer asks for a 100 $ tip or no entry. Past the main entrance, I had to pay cover 60 dollars for cover. This was Friday March 4,2021. Stay away people. Boycott so they streighten up! The bouncer I dealt with was a clown looking Indian guy with some kind of Ali baba hat on his head.

Living in Vancity for years now. I am so glad the clubs are open after COVID.

Been visiting this club for so long & it doesn't disappoint after the reopening.
Everything was great, music, vibe & the people.

The people working here are very welcoming, especially the bouncers. They made sure everybody was scanned before entering the club. Took care of everyone while exiting the club.

I was very happy with experience & will be back soon for another great evening.

Horrible abusive and dishonest bounces that work here. I hope they go bankrupt during covid-19. This pitiful establishment does not deserve to be open! The joke is on them, good luck surviving covid guys, you're going to need it lol!

The Red Room is an awful place and the bouncers are both vile and rude. I had the worst experience ever there. Avoid the Red Room at all costs.

Every so often I come here for Subculture Saturday’s and I’ve always had an awesome time. It sounds amazing in there, and the people are always good vibes. One of my fav spots for shows in Vancouver for sure.

Red Room has really helped me come out of my shell, I have met a lot of really awesome people here on Saturday nights and many of which I am proud to call my friends. Red Room has great sound, great atmosphere and most of all great welcoming people. If you haven't been to Red Room before you are missing out and when you do go, dont be shy, talk to people you don't know and make some new friends!

I went on a Latin night and had probably the worst time I've ever had on a night out. The staff was super unhelpful, rude and had no basic customer service. We arrived before 1030 and was on a guestlist but we got stuck in line waiting which took us over the time limit making us pay full price. For ever place that I've had guestlist there's almost always two separate lines and guestlist gets first priority. I was not impressed and in all honesty I came for my birthday and the red room ruined my birthday.
So for anyone who looks at reviews I would not recommend going to red room take yourself somewhere else with cheaper cover and better music.

RedRoom. Its Already 12years that whenever I go out fridays, this is the club that I always go true. Top Latin Music, a lot of beautiful woman, friendly people, great place to invite a friends out and meet people from. All over the place. I have the pleasure to meet the General Manager "JERRY AVILA" a guy with great personality, always helpful. Thank you all of you guys from REDROOM GROUP.

This guys are dishonest. They slow the line on purpose and keep people waiting for hours - a weird advertising tactic or complete ineptitude of the bouncers. They offered free tickets for anybody who comes in before 11. We came at 10 and they made us wait for 3 hours and we still had to pay at the door. Music is great but they really make you suffer for it.

Went on a industrial/EBM night on my birthday and had a great time. Staff were great. Didn't think it was overpriced at all. As a bonus checkout the amazing graffiti murals in the lane way. Thanks Redroom for an amazing night.

The best nightclub in Vancouver - best PK Sound system and by far the best vibe. It's like you're at a music festival every Saturday. Their earplugs also fund clean water and transform lives!

Terrible experience with the doorman, Will not ever be returning to this venue again. I suggest finding another place to spend your night. Very unpleasant experience.hopefully the owner can find some new staff.

To the venue response. Music was fine. I dont have to list my reasons for not enjoying the venue. If people want to express their distaste for the venue via reviews and ratings and you don't like it.tough. It keeps things honest and it's 2019.you should be saavy to the fact that this is how a part of the market operates. By your responses to many other people who gave you a low rating with actual reason, your replies have been either to brush them off or make excuses that deflect any responsibilty on the venue itself. Coming across as arrogant. If other people enjoy the venue, good for them, glad they enjoyed their experience. If some people don't, it isn't great business practice to essentially scoff at people's experiences. But that seems to be the vibe of the red room anyways.

Worst treatment as a customer ever. Very rude behavior at the door checking our personal purse. Cover 20$ (friday night) and mandatory extra 5 for the coat check.on July! Honestly, I have never been in a worst latin party in Vancouver. Definitely, the organizers should take a look at the staff at the door.

$20 charge to enter through the guest list line, even though we had a guest list made. Then on top was a $15 dollar cover charge. Their red truck beer was warm, flat, and extremely small. I’ve been to many bars/clubs in Vancouver and this is the worst.

What ever you do don't pick up any plastic water bottles unless you want to get kicked out. Bouncers treated me like a child and wouldn't let me in because I picked up one of their 50 cent plastic Nestle water bottle and respectfully put it back down when they asked me to. Then accused me of stealing stuff that wasn't mine and told me to leave. When I said how ridiculous the whole situation was they told me to stop having a hissy fit.
