Went to purchase a pair of hiking boots priced at $12. When I got to the till they stated they should be more. The women at the till went to the back, when she returned she was quiet blunt saying they are now priced at $30.
I appreciate they may have been priced too low in error but to change the price once I reached the till feels really disrespectful.
Was so embarrassing to not be able to purchase as I couldn’t afford them at the new price, especially since a line had formed as it took her so long to return with the new price.

Overpriced! I’m shocked at how much they think they can charge. Now I choose to go elsewhere. I prefer the SPCA thrift down the street.

When you donate items to this Sally Ann you are offered a 20% discount coupon. I am downsizing now, selling and donating items. It costs me money to donate clothes as I have to book a car with Modo.

Very small & cramped store, only one mirror for the whole store & no change rooms. Prices were very expensive. Not very well organized or stocked.

Disappointed at the increase in pricing since the reopening. Thrifting for some can be fun, but for others it’s a necessity. Please reconsider how you price things (it’s all donated after all). It would also help move things out the door and keep inventory fresh.

The prices have significantly increased since the store reopened. No longer “thrift store prices”. Very disappointing given they aspire to serve those in need and get their inventory for free. I’ll be taking my donations elsewhere.

Although it’s a good shop, they lock the doors twenty minutes before closing and remove everyone ten minutes before close time.

As everyone’s saying, not much of a thrift anymore as some prices are much more expensive than buying something new now a days. Used to be more reasonably priced for used items, stained and torn up sometimes.

How is it Non- Profit? Same, I wonder!
But another thing happened this weekend while I stopped by since it’s been months now, due to seeing it multiple times and I decided not to support them as much or donate anymore. But I went in to have a peek anyway, I was in the kitchen electronic area in the back and kept on noticing a lady sitting there talking to the workers, thought nothing of it other than chatting with her friends. 15 minutes passed and she continued, but I looked over one time and I saw the workers bringing her items for her to purchase and priced accordingly around 99 cents. Made sense now cause she had a cart full of items next to her as she sat there while they were sorting it out for her.

WOW! I was shocked! They didn’t even bother to hide it but made it seem like it was a normal thing there cause they were being a “good person” to help their friends with the free items people donate for the community that are supposed to be priced at a decent cost.
I feel sorry for the people that actually need these items but can’t afford them cause of “inflation” prices.

I hope management does better here.

Makes you think twice about donating to these places…

Some interesting items can be found from time to time but in general its a very small store so not too much can be expected
some prices are really beyond ridiculous as well

Really amazing people work at this store. I have never found anything quite as valuable special and unique as the people who work here! And this place is goldmine for quality products!

I feel for people who need to shop here. Often time prices are higher than new at fast fashion shops. The staff is rude and change prices all the time - staff at back is also pretty rude and I’ve witnessed them looking into bags and hair tossing items in nearby dumpsters without organizing? (Dumpsters outside the property).

I visited 2 locations:
1- the one on 2700 blocks on west Broadway.very clean, the cashier was very friendly.the other employees were just employees.i mean they are fine.
2- on west 12th between main and Kingsway.the 2 elderly ladies were yelling at the young employee.the young employee didn't even say anything back.i waited until i was the last customer and i told them that I never saw anything as bad as you ladies on my entire life.i go there for a treasure hunting.the meanest ladies in the entire universe.i saw it so many time.it was 7: 57, i wanted to see an item in the glass display and both were shouting we are closed.and when they figure it out it was me.they yelled at the young girl to show me the taureen.these 2 mean ladies should be jailed.

Chinese super rich family bought the Salvation Army and are running it, not so much in the spirit of a charity, but in the spirit of a for private profit business. When you donate your items you are mostly donating to rich foreign investors profits. In addition, the prices are to high because of corporate profit greed.

If you're thrifty and looking to save money avoid this location. If you're willing to pay retail price or more for 'vintage finds' you're in luck!

Zero stars.
The most overpriced, horribly run, rude place I have ever been to in my life. I mention this to friends and almost without fail within a month they come back to me and say " OMG yes, I had a horrible experience too! "

Just one (of multiple) experiences:
I saw a pair hiking boots without a price. I asked and was told they were 50$ (already like, really, $50 at a thrift store, unacceptable). I saw there was a sale in two days for 40% off so i decided to come back. I did come back and when i brought them to the till I was told that before discount they would be $69! SIXTY NINE DOLLARS! For shoes given to them for free! Anyway, they told me I was lying that I had been told they were $50 before (keep in mind they have those blue chalk symbols, not always price tags) and refused to honor what their employee had told me. The woman spoke to the manager who proceeded to take the shoes away from me and put a price tag on them (I told them I wanted to buy them) and said if I didn't like it I could just leave. WTF. I left.

Please do not bring your donations here.

Excellent bargains you just have to be willing to dig through a bunch of stuff. Very efficient staff always putting out new stuff.

I really like this thrift store, because it has an awesome variety of products and often has collectibles.

Bargains, reusing, fewer things in landfill, good place to give away your stuff and a charity. We should have less stuff and shop there more.
