The Shore

We stayed here for 5 days with three others families. Our family of 4 got a 2 bedroom suite. The balcony was great and plenty of room for all of us to hang out on. Our suite was on the third floor and the other families were on different levels and had a much smaller balconies even though they had the same suite.

Great space for us but we went through a third party and check-in was confusing. The spaces are a little beat up and the floors were filthy on arrival. Our feet were black after walking around for a few minutes and when we told our contact person about it, they initially wanted to bring a mop to us to clean it ourselves. We insisted they clean it since that’s what should have happened anyway. They finally came and cleaned it. We also requested a few items and they said it would be “delivered shortly” but then never came.

Loved having laundry in our rooms and being right across from the water and steps away from great food was ideal. I would look into other places before staying here again but would consider it if there wasn’t anything comparable as far as amenities and location.

Our stay at The Shore was perfect! Communication and non-contact check-in was easy. Parking was an extra charge and not necessarily guaranteed as it is an Impark lot.

The place was impeccably clean, location was perfect for across-the-road access to Gyro Beach, supermarkets, coffee shops, and restaurants. Fully-stocked kitchen and in-suite laundry made our stay even better!

Rooms are nice at the first glance but the windows looked like they were cleaned with a dirty rag. Most unfortunate because we were on 6th floor which could have been an amazing view. There were ink stains on the bedding and the bathtub didn’t drain. Guest services was great regarding communication and had maintenance up quickly to fix the tub. Unfortunately housekeeping never came to change the bedding and we ended up washing it ourselves. Would return for the location but they really need to reconsider their housekeeping services, and step it up, for the price you pay.

Awesome place! Clean rooms with a homey vibe right at the beach. Nice change from a hotel, where you have a little more space and amenities to do what you need. Would be awesome for a longer stay period. 10/10 would stay here again on my next Kelowna vacation.

I really enjoyed my stay here for my friend's birthday/bachelorette! The rooms were super clean and the view of the beach from our balconies were amazing! The location is very convenient since the beach was across the street, and restaurants and the cafe were just downstairs. The hotel also has a nice terrace with fireplace. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for our time here!

This is not a hotel per se. There is no desk, concierge etc available.
Check-in was below optimum. We signed up for the app that is supposed to grant access to the doors via mobile phone, and sent the contact details as requested via text message, but the key never arrived to the app. After the guaranteed check-in time of 4pm had passed, we had to call (from a European phone) to inquire, and the agent hung up on us in the middle of the conversation. So we had to call two more times, as the second time only the voicemail responded. After the third call, we finally received the keys to the app.
The flat with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a living room was spacious, had an equipped kitchen, and offered very nice views as we were located on the 6th floor. However, the bedrooms offered no option of blackout curtains and the installed drop-down curtains were still letting in a lot of light. Additionally, the ventilation was very noisy even though the heating/cooling was turned off in the whole flat.
Furthermore, we experienced a blackout of almost 7 hours without any information whatsoever. We didn't want to leave the room/building as all the locks are electronic, so we didn't know if we would be able to get back inside as long as the power is out. There was no power, warm water, or wifi. The Shore claimed that the blackout was caused by the power company and that it was outside of their influence, a claim which we could not verify via BC Hydro's website. Any request for compensation has not been granted, they didn't even bother to respond to the request for compensation, let alone to apologize for the inconvenience.
Overall, I feel like the price tag of 860CAD for the flat for 2 nights was way over the top and the service level definitely did not meet our expectations.

Just returned home from a 2 night stay at The Shore. Lovely place, safe area, clean apartment. Being so close to the water was nice. Brewery right below was a great location. Loved having access to the 3rd floor fire table, Sun loungers. BBQ’s x3 were all out of order which is a shame as we picked a place like this due to having bbq access so we were not eating out the entire time… This would have been nice to know! Aside from that, it was a great stay. This place is also very pet friendly! Also the brewery below is dog friendly too!

Apartment style hotel. Master BR with a king bed and a den with a twin. Kitchen with fridge oven toaster microwave kettle and french press. Right across from the beach. Several good options but I will highlight the shoreline brewing co and diner deluxe which were both excellent and I plan to review them individually. This place was awesome at a reasonable price. 12 dollar taxi ride to downtown. Honestly loved our stay here. Great spot. Don't hesitate, just book it man

Such a great experience staying at The Shore. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and so accommodating. The room was very clean and a great value with a great view of the mountains and the lake. Walking distance from the beach, cute cafes, liquor store and Shoppers Drugmart.

Can't wait to visit again.

Worst customer service experience with this hotel. They charged my room immediate after I mistakenly cancelled my reservations online. I literally call them within 1 min.to ask for revoking my reservations. Immediately they said cannot help, didn't even try or checking in the computer for me. At the end of the call, I was asked to pay again to rebook. Not coming back for sure!

Such nice rooms!

We had two suites here for a bachelorette weekend and they were just perfect! We had our 'balconies' basically come out to a big open shared area with BBQs and a view of the beach. So cool!

It was different not have a front desk but they were super responsive and helped via text when needed!

Not too far from downtown so would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from a four night stay at The Shore and it was nothing short of amazing. We had a large group (20 people) split amongst various rooms and not a single person had anything negative to say. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The location is great, it’s directly across from the beach and on a direct bus route to downtown that stops right outside. The building itself has lots of restaurants as well, so you don’t need to hunt down food or have to go downtown for it. One of the highlights was the amenity room that was available. Our large group was able to spend our evenings together and it was all included in the price. Also had direct access to the rooftop patio which was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and only a quick text away. They always responded immediately. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay here again when in Kelowna.

Thanks to Rheanna (our lovely contact person at The Shore) for making this a memorable trip, as we have guest visiting from Toronto, we planned a 3 nights stay at this property and we were all impressed as how the whole experience turned out!

As you can see from my photos, the suit is both modern and spacious! 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms and a full kitchen, and most of all a lovely view of the Okanagan Lake! Sipping our local BC wine viewing the sunset on the balcony.true relaxation!

Highly recommended for a family getaway!

Oh and they are pet friendly too & restaurants abound in the neighborhood!

Visiting Kelowna? The Shore is the place to stay. The location is ideal. Perfect access to the lake and the down-town. The ammenities are excellent. The staff are incredible. The units are well stocked for holidayers.

Super hard to get in contact with them.i wanted to rent a place for september 2022 and when i called to get info about when to apply (in august) it went to voicemail and told me to text or leave a message.i texted and got back a very vague answer.i called again and left a voicemail and never got a call back.i emailed someone and heard back, they sent me the rental application in october and told me to apply now.i did so, got a call as i need a co-signer (i’m 19 so i figured). Sent over the co-signers application and heard back saying details would be finalized that day (dec 1). I never heard back so jan 17 i emailed again, previously i was told they are working on wrapping up leases so i figured i’d hear back at some point.jan 17 i emailed to follow up about my application as the details were supposedly being finalized and it’s not march 15 and i’ve heard nothing.even if they were wrapping up leases and were going to get back to me later, the least they could’ve done was responded to my email on the 17th as “finalizing the details today” sounds like i’ll hear back that day or around that date.

Clean, simple, minimalist - exactly what I needed.

We spent 2 nights here for a birthday party. My visitors were so amazed during our stay, suite was so clean and spacious morethan enough for 6 people. The kitchen was well-stocked and very clean. The view outside was so amazing. We loved and enjoyed our stay Thank you to the management for being so generous and courteous. I strongly recommend this place.

We had an excellent stay in their 3 bedroom apartment for a few days. The 3rd bedroom was basically a converted closet with a single bed. However, my daughter found it intimate. The beds and beddings were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked a couple of meals. There were 3 different HVAC units within the apartment and they worked flawlessly. We tried 2 of the six food places within the building and they were good. It was right across a beach park and a short 5 mins walk to grocery, pharmacy and Tim Horton’s. Parking costs extra but we were able to find space at the busy parking lot at night. I had instructions to download an app and register about a week before checkin and received a digital key at 3pm on the day of checkin. We then found two key cards in the unit. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at The Shore. It didn’t have anything fancy like a swimming pool or a gym but it was new, quiet, convenient and, even with a hefty cleaning fee, a fair value.

Disappointed by the service that The Shore offers for it’s guests who are staying there as a hotel! Express checkin/checkout was NOT communicated to us prior to check in. We get to the main building with no clue of what to do. I call the main number, and someone explains to me how I need to download a specific app to have access to my digital key! These things could be sent in an email prior to guests arrival!
You are paying the price of a 5 star hotel, but not receiving such service from them. I understand this is a hotel apartment, but I shouldn’t be taking my garbage out at the end of the day! If I wanted no service offered by a hotel, I would get an Airbnb for half of the price of what i paid for here.

I contacted The Shore in mid-May to inquire about renting a 2 bedroom apartment from them starting September 2021 to May 2022. Their customer service team assured me that they would have a selection of these suites available, so my roommate and I submitted an application. They said they would get back to me within 5-10 business days with a status update. Two and a half weeks go by, and we haven't heard anything back. My roommate called them and requested an update, but the person she spoke with said that they were too busy dealing with July leasing at the moment and will get back to us in early June. By June 19th, we still haven't heard anything so I emailed them again requesting information on our application status. I only found out this morning that they are now full for the time we requested to rent, and I am certain they knew this weeks prior to me contacting them for a second inquiry but they just couldn't be bothered to let me know. Their lack of professionalism is extremely disrespectful, so I would not recommend renting or staying with them. They clearly do not value their potential customers time or money. We will be letting anyone we know who plans to visit Kelowna to stay FAR away from this place. Next time, keep people updated - even if it's not the news they want to hear.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Shore for 5 months, I cant say enough great things about the building and the team that operates it. It was always in pristine condition with cleaning teams working everyday. The building is very secure and I felt very safe during my stay (Covid measures) I got to know some of the team and they would look in on my dog from time to time if I was away for too long. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Kelowna this is the best place to do it. Highly recommend!

The entire experience was 5 star from start to finish. From the simplicity of check in/check out, to the amazing views and cleanliness of the rooms. I've lived in this area a long time and even worked in hospitality here. I think you'd be very hard pressed to find a better stay than the shore, it is extremely well managed.

Professionalism from The Shore lacked tremendously, 5 months ago I was searching for a place to stay with 2 other roommates for the 2021/2022 school year. Advertising continuously popped up on facebook marketplace, to which I inquired about. Days would go by that I didn't hear from management, after initially telling me there were spaces available they would later tell me they were full! Do they not want university students, because a similar situation happened with my friend a few months after mine? ! The communication between potential renters and management had us waiting weeks more than we should have to hear back from them, yes I understand that the renting market is extremely busy these days but if you want someone to rent or stay at your accommodations, your customer service skills should be your first priority. You made finding a rental so difficult because your staff had no communication skills, if you do stay here, best of luck because you may never get ahold of someone if you need help.

Absolutely loved my time at the Shore! Everyone including staff were extremely friendly and easy to talk too! An awesome location with the beach across the street and hiking and biking locations within a 15 mins radius! It’s close to all necessities and made it such a wonderful place to be.

We had the most amazing stay at The Shore! By far the best location to stay in Kelowna. There is every possible amenity in walking distance and so many restaurants to choose from. Plus Gyro Beach being right across the street is a huge bonus!

We stayed there last summer for two weeks and it was amazing.

Not only was our suite amazing so were all the vendors on the main floor of the building.

Looking forward to coming back!

Stayed at the Shore for 4 nights in mid Sept. The place was fabulous, no complaints whatsoever. Read some bad reviews and was abit worried but it seems like all the kinks were ironed out. It's a brand new building, super clean and our unit (2bdrm +den) had all the necessities including lots of toiletries, extra towels, etc. We enjoyed using the coffee press and couldn't ask for a better spot, right across the street from the beach. Lots of food options downstairs and the grocery store was a half block away. Check in and checkout were super easy. Don't hesitate to stay here. We've already told our friends about this place and we'd stay here again in the future.
