The source is a great place for common electronics.
Don't expect to find any speciality electronics here though.
The staff are super helpful and friendly.

Maddi helped me upgrade my phone today and made the entire experience pleasant and painless.

I was Shopping for ear buds, web site showed a variety available and included sales prices and the BCAA discount, which was not honored at the store. Had to spent $100. To get a $10.off Discount Via their own "sign up" program.

It seems to me The Source is closed more than it is open as of late, which is slightly ironic, considering the name. Often I find myself walking past The Source while running errands, at Western Foods, Shoppers, or the Dollar Store and The Source is closed up, in spite of the hours posted on the door. When The Source is open, I have zero issue with the quality of service or the inventory, they have what I want, else I wouldn't stop by there. But yeah.not sure what the deal is. Maybe I'm just that unlucky that I stopped going on single, one-off, spontaneous trips to The Source. Perhaps once the staffing situation is sorted out I can take the hours posted on the door at face value, but until then, I either need to go into Sooke anyways (and an unexpected closed store won't bother me), or I won't bother going at all.

Noel and Maddie helped us upgrade our 2 daughter's phones yesterday. Both were extremely pleasant & attentive to our needs. Noel's knowledge and CS was above and beyond. It was super refreshing to have such excellent service from a young person. She made the visit stress free and enjoyable all while handling us plus others and training Maddie. We were super impressed! We'll always stop at Sooke Source first now!

I was just buying an audio cord. The gentleman that help me was honest and knowledgeable. All the staff were very kind and respectful.

I recently upgraded my phone, as well as my wife's and son's to a model that was compatible to work with my son's blood monitoring system, the Dexcom G6. Noel and Maddi were extremely helpful and took the time to explain every available option as well as the best pricing for us. Noel was in the midst of training Maddi, and was equally patient with both of us. Noel was very knowledgable about every possible option, and she and Maddi both guided us through the setup of our new phones expertly. It was a very painless experience thanks to those two young ladies, and as a result I would highly recommend shopping there. I'll be back again soon.
