The Sticky Wicket Bar & Restaurant

Security sucks soo bad. I wish l would be contacted by their internal affairs so l can complain but they are soo corrupt as well. If you put a complain in they would ignore it considering they are friends with the person you complained about. The only thing l would say is ignore this pub at all costs.

What a cool space! Was there for a function and loved it. We were up in the darts area. The plate of nachos was massive and covered in shredded beef. The servers were lovely, bubbly and bright. You have to go at least one time in your life just to see the history of the space

Unfortunately, we arrived too late to eat here, so just cocktails for us. Drinks were good. It was late, so our server was done…We still enjoyed sitting by the fire and checking the place out. 9/7/23.8: 30 pm.

Had an Over foot long hot dog on a very fresh brioche style bun for just $5 on the roof top patio!

Lunch on Wednesday. We arrived and the hostess asked if we would like to dine in the games room, don’t dine in the games room, we sat ourselves near the bar and were completely ignored by the young bartender. A couple of guys walked up to the bar because they wanted drinks and change for the pool table, maybe I should go to the bar for menus, still ignored, not even a “be right with you”. I went back to our table to grab my purse and my husband was already on Google looking for another option. I suggested we just try the dining room and all was not lost. Angelica was amazing and 5 ️ (sorry, but the average has to be a 3 with the bartender’s “lack of service”). We shared the artichoke dip and split the chicken club with salad and everything was delicious. I mentioned the lack of service in her suggested dining area to the hostess, but having owned our own restaurants, sometimes the information doesn’t make it to who it would be important to in order to correct the error.

Had the best service from Maddy H. She was knowledgeable and attentive. I’ll definitely be back for her! Thanks again Maddy for the amazing service, you’re amazing!

Was hoping to see a lot more cricket since they call it cricket themed. Honestly didn't see anything related to cricket in the restaurant. None of the TVs were showing any cricket either.

Food was great though! Service was a little slow but no complaints.

Been coming here for more than 20 years whenever I'm in town. Have the beef dip, you won't be disappointed! Staff is awesome too.

The waitress was great, friendly and provided excellent service. Nice atmosphere, was quiet when I visited. Would definitely return. Only had a beer and an appetizer

Had a quick stop on my Royal Caribbean cruise, went in and had a local beer, go see Keegan, he was super! Loved the environment! Only wish we had more time!

Had a delightful experience at The Sticky Wicket. The Asian Beef Noodle Bowl was superb - tender beef, flavorful, and perfectly cooked noodles. Warm ambiance and attentive staff. Highly recommended!

We didn't eat we just had drinks. But they were delicious and the bar itself was u-shaped which made it easier to talk with other guests.

We were visiting Victoria and couldn't decide where to go but decided to give this place a try the place inside is beautiful the amount of wood is incredible we were seated in a very comfortable booth we had an order of dry ribs off the happy hour for $8 but after we left I noticed we weren't charged happy hour price, my fault, I should of looked so no harm. We both had the steak sandwich with fries and they were perfect. Cooked exactly how we asked and was tender a huge amount of fresh hot fries as well. I would go again of we weren't leaving town. Service was also excellent

A fun, funky bar. We had the beef au jus, Cesar salad. They were delicious. The building is a beauty & the atmosphere was fun & relaxed. An awesome downtown Victoria bar

A hidden gem-most incredible breakfast sandwiches in Sooke area. Quality food, made with love. Coffee was also island quality

As mist restaurants in Victoria, this place has high quality food, deviously prepared and served by some of the friendliest staff you’ll meet. Great appetizers, and mains. I tried the Moroccan chicken which was delicious.
Although it’s a pub and gets very rough at night (we stayed upstairs from it so we know), they did let us in with kids until 10 pm, which was great because every other place in the area was full.

Their menu says that the surcharge for gluten free buns is $3, but they charged $4 in the bill. I caught the error but am disappointed that they are gouging people with allergies. Server refunded me $1 in cash because the system was configured to charge $4.

That $4 is a 25% premium on the original cost of the dish to accomodate gluten free option for someone whose body can't handle bread.

They don't have any gluten free options or have any gluten friendly options marked in the menu either. I do not recommend this place if you have intolerance to gluten.

Amazing service, amazing food & drinks, Just incredible everything.
I think the staff and the atmosphere was what really set this place apart from the rest.
A MUST visit when your in Victoria.

The food was awful apple brie pizza (chicken tasted old refrigerated) stroganoff was terrible. The Servers walked past us several time for at least 15 minutes no service, no eye contact.
The only thing that was awesome was Dave the bartender he noticed us walking out and ran after us ensuring he served us. The security guard was great and he had sense of humor. Being short staffed is no excuse for not being friendly.

Food was horrible and it was way understaffed other then security there was plenty of them. Waitress was great but super busy as she was doing main floor and second level.

One of the rare places where everything- appetizers, main course, drink and service quality is excellent!
Carly was very good at customer service and helpful with everything.

First visit back post covid. Was appalled with the service, took literally hours to get orders in. Tried to play darts in the games room and we were nearly kicked out for having the audacity to think we could do this anymore. Won't be back until life is actually back to normal, was an unpleasant experience.

Amber was our server and she was absolutely incredible. She memorized all our orders and dealt with our obsqure requests without missing a beat. Love her and will return for her service!

Thia place is gorgeous. It has such a historic feel and look. The multiple levels are exciting to explore leading to several different bar areas. The sa staff was fantastic. The drinks and appetizers were delicious. My lack of giving 5 stars I'd sue to the entrees, they were very disappointing and missed the meal completely. I would go back again however I would either pass on a full meal or maybe try something different. We had the ribs and the open face turkey.

Definitely for the late night if you’re planning one, chill vibes in the early evening with darts and pool. Multiple rooms in the massive bar for dancing, lounging or playing games.

This place is a vibe. Outstanding ambiance with with delicious dishes and drinks on the menu. Pool and darts available on site. Super friendly staff:)

The beyond meat California Burger was good and they have different side oprions. The yam fries were good. Nice atmosphere although not very busy, but that made service faster.

Games room on Monday night was pretty busy. Pool tables full and looked like darts upstairs. Only one waitress and bartender for approximately 75 people. Wait times for food and drink were atrocious. The server did the best she could considering the circumstances.

Had my wallet stolen. Someone emptied it over 400 cash and some then put it back empty on the table beside us. To be continued
