It is a good place and have a good vibe going on, the food was a little oily though could be a one time thing but overall good place.

Do you like dive bars, sports and pizza? The food here was excellent, service great and beer cold. They have a pool table as well. Stop by when in town.

Great neighborhood pub. Great soup made in-house. You never go wrong with a cold beer. Plenty TVs for sports and a pool table.

Went here a few times and the food was okay, service was a little rough. Went in the afternoon for food and drinks with a friend after a few visits, we were seated and given drinks and menus but no one ever came back. It was not busy.maybe 10% capacity. We waited half an hour, then had to go to the bar and wait to pay for our drinks and leave. It would seem reasonable to expect good service on a slow afternoon, but that was not the case.

I played pool here for a lot of years awhile back. Today was my first time back in 10 years and Tara, great bartender, still recognized me. I had an amazing time shooting pool and meeting new people. All in all a fantastic place to hang out and have a great night!

The server must have been new, but the service was sub-par, the food took a long time to come out and it came out at different times for each of our group. Server forgot to bring some items and forgot drinks. The nachos were just chips with a few places where cheese was, but it was loaded with jalapenos but it was all very very cold.
The only decent thing was the deep fried pickles but the only dip given/offered was ranch.
Probably a good place to grab a beer but not worth eating there.

This place is racist with Mexican people a lady told us the id's from Mexico is not valid here.
The owner need to fire this person or really the place is racist

The one star was for the waitress as she was lovely. Otherwise the food was absolutely awful. Had seen so many reviews in Eat New West we made a point of stopping for lunch. Had soup and clubhouse and buffalo wrap with salad. Soup was okay. Clubhouse had bread that looked like it had been squished, lettuce that should have been in the garbage it was so bad. Barely any tomatoes or onion to speak of and although lots of meat it was tasteless.
The wrap completely fell apart because it was all so dry there was nothing to hold it together. The chicken had a buffalo coating but that's it. Dry romaine lettuce and a grilled wrap that crumpled. The salad I said I would take with me but when I emptied it into the container it was like dregs from one of those plastic boxes. Again the stuff that you throw out.
So disappointed as it has been hyped pretty well.
Again the server was lovely. I called back once I got home because for some unknown reason I paid for the damned lunch. I wanted her to know so she could check other meals coming out.

Female bartender made awful remarks after not getting tipped, only because we pressed the wrong button by accident on the debit machine. Are you kidding me, a 20$ table?

She came by not once but twice and said “nice tip guys”. Unreal.

Good place to have a pint or two to watch a game. Friendly clientele and the staff are good depending on who’s behind the bar! (one of them is missing in action alot during shift). Didn’t have any food but what I saw come out of the kitchen looked great, smelled awesome, very appetizing indeed!
On the cheap side price wise. You won’t break the bank. Lots of parking on the side.
Good pub. The decor is a bit dated/ tired but the rest that I mentioned more than makes up for it.

This is by far the crappiest bar within 10 miles. The food is OK, the people are nice, but why they'd leave one person in charge of the bar (with zero social skills and no manners) is just clueless. Go only if yer desperate to play pool.

Came with some coworkers after work and their long Island iced tea is great! Plus their poutine is soo good!

Take this place for what it is: a New West dive bar. And it is among the finest examples thereof.

Old pub and they could waste some money on renovations, but where it counts for a pub, awesome staff, food specials, interesting locals, the usual noises; pool table, canned music, friends chatting, TV'S.

It's a congenial place of New Westies. Even though my prawns and steak were fairly cheap. The steak was tough. Maybe their wings will be bettee.

The Thirsty Duck, or as my bro says the ‘Dehydrated Foul’ is definitely a go to pub in New West! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They greet us by name and have our favourite bevies poured before we even sit down! The food is decent and very reasonably priced! The owner Harry always stops by to say hi and chat, and has been very good to us. Thanks Harry!

A friend and I stopped by for a break and had breakfast at 1: 30 pm on a Sunday.good food, friendly server and good classic rock music in the background.having a conversation was a breeze as the music was at a nice level. I'm definitely going back later on a Sunday for the prime rib in the near future.

Really good wings. I've been looking for a place that serves really good wings and this was one of the good ones.

Amazing food, food came out quickly. Service was great. Would definitely return, when we visit Vancouver again!

It's a place to grab a beer, play some darts, enjoy the local scene and have a laugh.

Food was good, prices where normal, and the service was excellent not sure how many staff they've got it seemed like just two people but they where very good at their jobs the woman who served us was right on top of everything she was very friendly and helpful made for a great visit I would go back just for the friendly server she was excellent. Thanks for the great experience.

A good blue collar pub with decent pub fare and memorable servers. There are a lot of regular characters at the bar.

Went & asked for booth they waitress said tables were being saved for more then 2 people but they remained empty for the time was there & ended up being seated beside a large group not spaced out just plexiglass between table

This place is very good on Wednesdays for Chicken Barbecue+Okhanagan Beer and also the offers for happy hour. Stuff is friendly, food is tasty.

Thirsty Duck is a local gem of New Westminster. Food is great, prices are reasonable and Tara, the waitress and heart of the Thirsty Duck is awesome and super friendly. If you're looking for a nice & comfy place to grab a bite or a drink with friends, you should definitely give it a try.

Friendly server. Nice patio (a bit crowded tho). Foods came out quickly and were tasting excellent. Good portions.

Thought we'd try this place again after a couple of years. We went on a Friday at 5.30pm. Was very busy! People were having fun, lots of customers knew each other. A little too loud for my liking. Definitely had a neighborhood pub vibe. They had meat draws and 50/50 raffles going. We won a pot roast! They have a great 2 for 1 deal during happy hour (from 2 to 6pm), but wings are not included on that deal. Our bill for four drinks and four appies was $55, plus tip, thanks to happy hour. Our servers were very friendly. The tables were spaced and people wore masks, but some areas were dense and seemed like Covid breeding grounds. There was a pool table in the middle with people playing with it. I did not see hand sanitizer available, nor did I see sanitizing of tables and chairs after use. We ordered Mexican Sunsets (half cranberry juice/half grapefruit + 1 shot of tequila. I like mine tall with lots of ice) and they were watery. The juice was not flavourful. We are gluten and dairy free (but don't usually react to cross contamination from fryers), FODMAP and histamine sensitive. Couldn't have the wings because they are breaded. Went with the dry ribs and sweet potato fries with honey mustard to dip. Randy was flushed and stuffed up within 5 minutes of eating, so something in the food triggered his histamine sensitivity. I felt okay, but by morning had a very upset stomach. We were not able to identify what were the triggers. Best to avoid this place if you have food sensitivities or prefer a quiet environment. Otherwise, it's a great hang out place!

They have a great menu for appetizers with wide selection of special drinks and the waitresses was nice they served very well.

Waitress was excellent and the kitchen staff made me Greek style wings, which was not on the menu.

Very rude, grumpy staff that acts like angry kindergarten teachers. We stopped here for some food & beer, but it was after 9pm so I approached an employee to ask if they were still serving food. I barely got “hello” out before she rudely snapped at me like an elementary school teacher “I can’t help you until I help everyone already sitting down! SIT DOWN and I’ll come to you later! ” I explained “I was just wondering if you were serving food” to which she snapped “NO! ”
I’m not interested in bars/grills that treat me like a bad child - Bye Bye.

Amidst the Corona Virus scare I had a very good time socially with social distancing amongst the people having a good time and trying to relieve their cares I was able to the same Met a friend or 2 comfortable atmosphere great food although I did try it it looked magnificent Are you can bet I will try it next time hopefully I Gain and pictures to show y'all

It is what it looks like a weirdo dive bar. Over priced pinner food my beef dip had 3 slices on it.makes subway look like all u can eat. Waitress literally cleaned my table and washed it spraying me while im still sitting and the tables was clean to start with.

We had a coupon but it wasn't valid still the waitress gave us each a salad & extra fried with our.quesadillas. Friendly, good food & nice atmosphere!
