The Union Club of British Columbia

We were members here for a decade and continue to come as hotel guests every time we are in Victoria. The only way to describe this lovely place is as a wrinkle in time. Gone are the annoying distractions of televisions in every corner of this buildings stunning communal spaces. Nor is there any annoying pop music piped through the building to pester you. And best of all a business casual dress code is enforced keeping those inclined to slouch around in their sweat pants in their rooms.
Do yourself a favour, go back to a gentler time, stay here!

Lovely small hotel feel. Old gentlemens club vibe. Reading room etc. Very central. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

If you are looking for a proper, traditional English club, look no further. What a great experience.

GREAT building. Visit an old English Club, but one that allows both genders in. I have not stayed in the guest rooms. The common areas are what makes this place special.

It's a very classic hotel. Every thing British era. A must visit from tourist point of view

Went to meet a friend in Victoria this night. What a disappointment. Rude, uncommunicative staff.below average food. I witnessed the bartender emptying a bag of potato chips into a bowl and serving it to a table. This Union Club in Victoria is dead. Old money and stock market spinners. Don't waste your time unless you need to sell yourself.

Beautiful old world charm right in the heart of downtown. Especially love the rooftop deck and views.

They have a lot more capabilities in hidden control and influence over people's lives than they would ever allow to be revealed. I won't forgive and I won't forget, I may not be able to prove anything but I will always always suspect and I will always be watching you.

A quiet retreat to read, have a meal and relax. Parking is limited, and the local public parking is extremely expensive.

An impressive landmark, with rich heritage.truly beautiful building. Amenities were nice, and the location is amazing.

Non members can book rooms here, might be a unique place to stay on your next visit to Victoria.

Wonderful food great setting. The club is alive again post restrictions. And the food is even better.

I went here for a work christmas party and nearly every part of the whole experience was amazing. Truly some of the best food I've had. BUT to be fully honest, the beef was not good at all. So chewy that if you went to take a bite of your beautiful sandwich that you just assembled, you wouldn't be able to pull away and you'd be stuck gnawing until something gives.

The Inn at the Union Club cannot be beat if you like a wood walled dining room and lots of history, and members get excellent room rates which include breakfast

I hadn't been in years, but went for dinner tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday. The building is absolutely lovely. The staff were helpful and welcoming from door to table. The dining room service was absolutely excellent. The dinner was delicious. The food was better than I remember. I had the Ceasar salad and for an entree, the salmon, both excellent. The bathrooms are clean and well provisioned. The place is steeped in the elegant history of a bygone era and worth a visit just to stare up at the carved wood paneling and gorgeous vintage glass.
