I was refused service. The woman said its because I seem intoxicated. I had no drinks or substances, it was 3pm. Im visiting from Toronto.

To be honest she seemed to be intoxicated, like a vicious poodle.

Absolutely superb Bingo with Vivian Vanderpuss, very entertaining, great supportive crowd, a bit of singing, dancing, lots of funny moments and an all round fabulous evening. Loved the choc cake and attention to detail. Please pop by and support local drag and entertainers.

Great prices on beer and burgers. If you're looking for an alternative to the usual it's a fun place. A bit loud but tolerable

Very clicky, staff not friendly at all. Went with a friend, we had one drink at the bar and left, no intention in going back. Furthermore, they don't allow dogs on their patio.

The smoked salmon eggs benedict was delicious! Absolutely recommend.
Mimosas of course are a must, chased by Tequila!
The show is great entertainment with Queens ready to make your Brunch Fabulous!
Don't forget to bring $5 bills for tips during shows to give performers. If you forget, ask
waiter for tips to be added to your bill total.

This review is for people of colour who plan to go to this restaurant.

I went for Sunday brunch with my three friends, we are a group of visibly racialized people. We experienced passive aggression from the white server the entire time we were there. Our group did nothing out of the ordinary. We ordered our drinks and food. When we politely asked if our food would arrive soon (since it hadn't by intermission), we were met with passive aggressive dismissal from the server, "it will come when it's ready". Once our food arrived, we asked for water without ice. When the server brought water with ice, we asked again for a glass without ice and the server was visibly annoyed (eye rolls) and losing their patience.

Finally, as we paid for the bill, we asked why the server was behaving this way and their response was "I have a lot to do" in a passive aggressive way. When we brought up that we didn't notice them behave this way with other tables, the server replied "I'm sorry you feel that way".

Finally, we spoke to the manager who refused to listen to what happened exactly. When we brought up that we were the only full table of people of colour in the restuarant and we experienced this as a microaggression, the manager shut us down with, "we are not racist here, I am not going to have this conversation now. " and "the server is not racist because they have an Indigenous partner".

Vicious Poodle, indeed.

My wife and I love going to drag brunch here! The entertainers are all very respectful and kind, and the food is delicious.

Although the weekend DJ was dropping some good tracks, the server was in a mood. Some misplaced ego trip I won't get into right now unless further provoked.
An illusion of inclusivity, ' anyone's welcome, as long as you're "our kind" of different. '

We went there for drag BINGO tonight and were in for a surprise! We could barely understand a word the drag queen said because she spoke SO FAST (and English is my first language). The night started with a land acknowledgment, which most in the room did not realize due to the queen’s lack of annunciation, when she proceeding to shout at patrons for unwittingly speaking through said acknowledgment - things went downhill from there…she then shouted at the room calling out all white people in the room to stop being “shitty” and to stop being racists. This was completely uncalled for and blatantly racist. We then attempted to overlook the aforementioned issues and enjoy BINGO, however she spoke so fast that we barely understood any of the numbers called, and on top of that she was shouting into a microphone which made it even more difficult to understand a word she said. After one round of drinks we decided to call it quits, paid up and headed out. Never again.

The staff is amazing here, especially the local drag talent! Too bad the mediocre food is overpriced.

Fantastic drag, great night time vibe, and really great brunch and cocktails considering that's not even the main attraction! All around awesome joint. Just don't forget to bring cash to tip the performers!

I took my Australian parents and friend here on a recommendation and we had an absolute ball. The food was great and the service fabulous. Henrietta Dubèt and E Licious were totally compelling in their performance. The community here is so supportive and loving. An absolute must visit!

Went for Drag Brunch. Not only was the food and service excellent but wow a drag show too? Amazing! Best brunch experience ever and no more $ than what you'd expect for brunch in Victoria. ️

The food was decent but the entertainment really did it for me. It was my first time going to a drag show and it was a blast! Vanessa Vanderpuss was very funny and the outfits were outstanding.

I had the Caesar cocktail and smoked salmon eggs Benedict but I can’t remember how it was because I was so mesmerized by the drag queens. I would definitely visit again to see more shows!

Sunday DRAG BRUNCH is such an amazing time to get connected with the community. Fabulous show with beautiful mixed drinks. Love the ambiance and support from the crowd. However, the portion of the brunch that me and my friends got wasn’t very fulfilling. Overall an amazing bar with friendly staff, would recommend to all my friends in Victoria.

Incredible night at an incredible place. We went during the Tuesday drag night. The queens were awesome and memorable. The drinks were good and the Mac and cheese was tasty. Awesome music!

Funkiest place in town- drag Tuesday night/Saturday brunch is the highlight of my week- the ladies are fabulous and the food is good too!

My partner and I had been meaning to come by for ages, we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon.
We had made the mistake of having eaten already before we got there, but we’ll be back for food someday for sure!
We had some cocktails, I had two different watermelon based drinks that were delicious and perfect for summertime/sunshine patio drinks.
Our servers were both super lovely and welcoming.
We’ll definitely be back for the food, drinks, service, atmosphere and most definitely for a show or event sooner than later! ️️?

Great place, love the specialty drinks. The drag shows are always awesome and the vibe was great. All the cocktails are a little expensive for my taste, but really good quality and honestly worth it!

We came to this place for three nights in a row. We love the Vicious Poodle! Great venue, delicious food, yummy cocktails and awesome staff! Vicious Poodle Burger: one of the best burgers I have ever had. Bangers and Mash: such a good sausage. ;-) Henrietta cocktail: so good!

This was my first ever time going to a drag club and it was amazing! I will go back and bring everyone I know. The food was good, the atmosphere was good! It was such a good time!

Go to Vicious Poodle and you will be beautifully reminded how glorious it is to be queer. There are so many queer events that you can and should go to, for sure for the artists, but also to just be apart of the most supportive community in Victoria. It is THE queer space of Victoria and it has been a looooong time coming.

I love this place! They really include a lot of Victoria queerness without being in your face or tacky about it which is nice. The spot is pretty classy well laid out. Service is pretty good, the wait staff is friendly and efficient. The cocktails are outstanding, and the food is good although there isn't many vegetarian options and no vegan options that I'm aware of this is the only reason it doesn't have five stars from me. Otherwise I will definitely be back for drinks with friends and I'm so grateful to have a queer space that is not a nightclub.

Loved it! The mixed drinks were a bit on the pricey side but so yummy. Really enjoyed the decor and menu. Our server was super chatty and told us about all the cool events they have there.

Greeter was amazingly welcoming and explained all CoVid restrictions. Drag show had been previously taped, but performers were in audience. So positive, so fun and the evening just whipped by!

A new space for the gay community. A pub with great food and drinks. There is currently Drag Nights on Tuesday and Drag Brunch on Sundays. The burger I had was good. The beef was flavourful and juicy. The fries were shoestring and the perfect amount of greasy. I would recommend checking this place out:)

Great menu! Staff was nice. Great atmosphere. Hope drag shows bring in money as restaurant under sold. Drinks not sold. Would rathere go to the Vicious Poodle restarant and bar. Nice though guys. If you sold your brand you would be on top.
