Went there for a birthday party, the staff was top notch, food was served well and really good.

The worst food ever! The catfish was savi it was not catfish the macncheese was just wrong, the fried corn was fried hard as hell. I took one bite of everything and trashed it all $27 down the trash. Never to return

It seems like they are doing you a favor to serve you. The waiting time is high and in the end they have no empathy to serve you properly.

We had lunch on a beautiful sunny day. We sat at a window table and watched some eagles flying around. The view was spectacular. I had the burger and it was very tasty. The fries were just as good. My wife had the crab cakes, and I had a couple of bites. They used lots of crab meat and not much fillers, so it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and attentive. It was my first time and I would go back again.

One of Squamish’s best bar and grills, parking is tight around here do not park on the bike lanes make sure your tire is not touching the pavement near bike lanes or your experience here is going to be ruined by a parking ticket or towed or both DOS bylaw loves this place for some reason. I have ideas how to create more parking lol. The food is always good here my go to lately is the Halifax donair creole prawns, chicken and Brie some of my favorites. Great out door seating and all the friendly servers and kitchen crew rock. Virgin river tv show is also filmed here

Amazing location, service and food. Its an all around win. Fish and chips was awesome, service was quick and friendly. Plus plenty of motorcycle only parking off to the side.

Amazing views from the restaurant, can get crowded, service took a while, food was alright, had the riverside burger with the gluten free bun, gluten free bun was not good, nice spot overall

Food was mediocre at best. My falafel was pretty dry because they cheaped out on the tzikiki. The ogedashi tofu was soggy mush. What really annoyed me was that they slapped an 18% gratuity on the bill (we were a party of 11). No where on the menu or a no point in our visit did they say an automatic 18% gratuity would be applied. I chose not to make a scene but based on the quality of the food, I would not have chosen to tip 18%.

Incredible location on the banks of the river, the hamburger, the soup of the day and the salads are very good. The service could be better.

Parking is a pain. There’re five spots outside the restaurant and around 20 across the street, but both fill up super quickly. We had to park in the bean around the world parking lot and walk over, which was about 10 minutes.

Perfect in every way. Just the view would be enough, just that crazy hamburger meal in a jug would have been enough, the cheesecake beyond enough. The Shack is cosy lovely too. Obviously the patio is fabulous. Great place for a celebration of any kind or a stop between Vancouver and Whistler or even a special drive to there. One of the best ever.

It's situated in a beautiful area with terrific views with indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the menu choices which are very well presented and cooked and tasted delicious. The desert menu had a gluten free chocolate tort which was a perfect finish for me. I would recommend this Grill to everyone.

Great food, great view. They have great breakfast and burgers, and I've heard from many people the Cesars are amazing. Most seating is outside/outside-ish so be prepared to wait if the weather is bad, and bring a sweater if it's cold/windy. Also parking is terrible so it's best to arrive before a rush!

Absolutely love this place. The scenery is to die for, service was awesome and food was delicious. We had to wait 1.5 hours to be seated but it was well worth it.

The river burger was out of this world. 100% recommend. The shed bloody Cesar was very tasty. Great service too!

My partner and I are huge fans of the food here. However, today was a disappointing experience. I ordered the river burger, and my partner ordered the two-piece fish & chips. My patty was burnt, charred and very dry. My partner and I are the types of people to respond with “good” when asked, “how’s the food? ” restaurant albeit any taste. Unfortunately, today was the day we spoke up when asked about our food. To our dismay, our server responded with, “Are you from the states? ” when I said the patty was burnt and overcooked (I’m assuming she was implying that we find raw food palatable). I was appalled and taken aback by her response. My partner’s fish was also super mushy and bland. Consequently, this experience has made us hesitant to make a return. My intention for this review is to bring awareness to the management from a loyal customer’s point of view.

After a 8 hour hike we just wanted to have a beer and some food. But the host tells us 1: 15 hour wait and gave us not even a reason. The place had lots of tables available! Great management.

I've never been disappointed by this place. Don't expect gourmet quisine but if you want good beer and some pub fare this is the spot. Vibes are great, and service even better

My wife wanted to come to this place because of the Netflix series Virgin River. I was skeptical at first because of the place appearance but as soon as I saw the view I knew why this place is so popular plus their burgers are top notch.

SUPER busy. We were unable to get a table or order take out, but there were a lot of free tables. Host's seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. We've enjoyed this place in the past. I imagine that since being 'Jack's Bar' on Netflix Virgin River, that it has brought more visitors. Stunning setting.

What a lovely little place. Food and drinks are good but the views are amazing! Nice staff too! We will be coming back for sure and we'll bring friends next time too.

A woodsy, rustic pub with a spectacular back drop. While the building looks oddly out of place, it more than makes up for this with friendly staff, amazing Cesars/ drinks, great views, and reasonably priced food. It's a wonder how this small kitchen can pump out the amount of food it does. Would definitely go again with friends.

Got the grizzly burger and it was worth the price. Super yummy along with an incredible view, what more can you ask for

Didn't actually eat there, they were so busy, and I was a little short on time. Great, picturesque location on the river! Will try again another time when time isn't a factor!

The view here is one of the best in the area. The food is arguably the best in the area. Just the service needs work allot of time to goes by waiting for servicers. But everything else is so good that even with that one flaw I still give it 5 stars

Although the food was decent, I don't think it was worth the 2.5 hour wait. We arrived at the restaurant around 1: 00PM and the host said it would be about 45 minutes. While we were waiting, we overhead them discussing how they were getting confused with the names of the patrons that put their name on their waitlist, but didn't think much about it. When we came back after an update on our table the host said they had a table for us and they would seat us right away. However, they ended up getting our table confused with another table and ended up seating another group with about the same size before us, and we ended up waiting another 45 minutes. Which means we waited 1 hr 30 minutes to just get seated! This was in over 30 degree weather.

While we got seated the server asked us why we appeared so tired. I then went to say, oh we are just really hot (as it was 30 degrees), and it would be nice if we could get some water since we have been waiting outside for over 1hr and we are dehydrated. (I also have a history of fainting when it's hot, and I am also a health care worker, so I know how important hydration is). The server then had the audacity to become sassy and responded by saying well, imagine me having to work outside in this weather? I think it's super rude and selfish after a customer asks for water to just start making us feel guilty about her job. I really think she needed to work on her empathy, like I could have fainted or gotten a heat stroke due to the heat. (They also had a dog seated right next to us that was severely dehydrated and we ended up giving some of our water to him).

Yes, the food was good, but we arrived at the place around 1: 00PM, got seated around 2: 30PM and left around 4: 30PM. So keep in mind it's nota great place to come if you're looking for a quick lunch, and decent service.

Average bar food. I ordered Veggie burger and didn’t like it, they charge $3 for a slice of cheese and the mixed green salad had way too much dressing on it. I wouldn’t recommend.
