The Wee Grill

A very welcoming and cozy environment. Food is always amazing! Been there twice for lunch so far and looking forward to come back. Last time we had tomato soup, calamari rings, burger, Caesar salad and sweets. Coffee s just great! French fries are the best in the area: crispy, hot, and not greasy or over salted. The menu has so many options to choose from— really appreciate it.

The owner and the personnel (two lovely ladies) were warm, very attentive — truly caring. We also loved the display of beautiful paintings and gorgeous glass artworks by local artists, definitely adds up to the atmosphere… Overall, a very clean place, comfortable seating, soft lighting and nice background music. So happy to discover this little gem in E. K.

The Wee Grill features down home decor and classic Canadian restaurant cuisine prepared and plated in a home cooked style, with a few common international food opions. We've found it a very welcoming place with cheerful, attentive staff and plenty of seating, but it can be crowded during the lunch time rush. The evening closing time of 7pm is more of a firm guidance than a lockdown, thankfully. If you enjoy locally owned roadside restaurants, you'll love the Wee Grill, and indeed it is located on a highway leading to-from the U. S.border so it comes by its nice truck stop ambience honestly. A few mainstream beer brands are available served bottled or canned with a chilled glass, and affordable common wines are served by the glass. Large groups can be accomodated with advance reservations. An outdoor patio is open in nice weather. About the decor: large, familiar mid-20th century oil paintings in classically kitschy frames are abundant, as is the output of many local artisans in a variety of styles. Adjoining the Wee Grill and accessible from the seating area is an audio shop that specializes in lp records, tapes, analogue hifi sound systems, vintage radios, and other throwback audio gear, so a few of those museum pieces add to the dining area's decor.

Nice family restaurant. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Good food for a reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend it.

We have in the past, ordered many times from Wee Grill. We have tried many of the items they serve, as well as attended a Chinese Smog they offered.
Everything has been delicious, and we'll worth the price.
The staff was pleasant, curious, helpful and attentive.

Service was great, food was well above average but lacking in some areas. Wings were a solid 7.8/10 maybe more if they were better priced. Donair was good but ive had much better. 7.4/10. The lightly battered fries are done very well 8.2/10. The atmosphere felt like I was living in 1962 witch some people may like not for me.

4 Adults, 3 youngons, Nice Staff, Nice Owners, Food was good! We were the second people in the Restaurant for the lunch Meal! Placed order! Waited, more people came in, (couples), 4 couples in the deeper section of the Restaurant, and a couple of guys across the isle from where our Group of 7 are seated!

People all around us are getting served! The 2 across the isle from receive their Lunch! We're Still waiting! The 2 accross from us leisurely partake of their meals, and Finish, other couples are also enjoying their Orders! We're Still Waiting! The 2 accross the isle finished sit and chat for awhile, and pay and Leave! We are still waiting for our Lunch (Over a hour now) other couples are finishing their meals, FINALLY WE GET Our Order!

1 is wrong, and 1 is Not supplied! Oldest Grand Kid waits another 25 minutes for his Meal!
Bottom line! Good for couples Wee Groups! Not good at handling Larger Groups! Group of 15, Pack your own Lunch! Not impressed!

Our server was an absolute delight and the food was incredible. But the manager there is very condescending and rude. The way he spoke to our server in a very cocky tone and made a snarky remark when she fixed his issue. We didn’t finish the veggie dish that comes with wings and he’s like “what’s this? Oh I get it haven’t had a vegetable in a year” then proceeded to ask us again in a cocky tone if we would care if he vaccumed beside us. (Which of course no problem we don’t mind) but it’s the way he chooses his words. But staff is wonderful. We feel for you guys

What a treat! I tried the Mexican menu on for this week. I had the shrimp taco. It was very good.much better than the last two times I have had a seafood taco, one from Nelson, and one locally from a food truck. The bean and corn salad was tasty. I enjoyed the meal and will try something else later in the week. Thanks for doing a "theme" week, such a good idea for some of the cuisines missing in town. Hope you do it again, or maybe place a couple items on your permanent menu. Hope to see other themes in the future (maybe?) Great option for good food!

We loved this family operated business. Great menu (try the Donair Poutine) and super interesting host, really fun to chat with. We will be back!

They had room to accommodate our walk-in group of 6 at 12pm on a tuesday. The building was very cold and we took turns going outside to warm up.
The start of our service was excellent and welcoming, but then we never saw the server again unless we went up to the counter for requests. The food was good. Service was not!

Only open until 7pm but you can order food for takeout up until then. The gal there was super friendly!

Holy WOW.the food! Perfect. The service! Phenomenal! They are so kind and make you feel so welcome. The price is awesome and the restaurant looks amazing.
Will absolutely go back.probably tomorrow.
