The World of Kidtropolis

Pricy for two adults and one kid, but probably fine if you have two kids. You can tell there’s not much care put into building the buildings and creating an immersive experience. For example, the “auto shop” had woodworking tools; the “garden” didn’t have any vegetables; the “fire station” consists of a desk. I think my three year old had fun, but mostly because it was their first time there. But when we wanted to leave after 90 minutes, they didn’t put up a fight.

On the positive side, facilities were clean first thing in the morning. Staff were generally quite friendly. You can see Jerry sweeping up all the time. Other staff seem to be walking around in pairs to put things back.

Probably won’t return unless invited to come with friends.

Horrible place with lots of danger! My son got injury in the kidstropolis because of the dangerous toy. The staff there are cold and ruthless with no apologize at all. I highly recommend not going.

My daughter loves role playing with friends here. We have spent more than 4 hours until they closed. It is so fun to see kids pretending a doctor or firefighter, and some of them were sending mails and pizzas. They were so busy to try every occupation here. It is a great place to go especially in rainy days and winter days.

Was rlly fun and loved it, probably won’t come back tho becuz it was rlly expensive and kids might find second time being repetitive. But the props were amazing

Kidtropolis is always go to place for my kids. It's clean and well services. I recommend to families with young kids.

Great for young children, parents and grandparents. Lots of interesting play activities and educational fun things to explore. $40 for a four year old and two adults.

I don’t really understand they close for Monday, because you will encounter PD DAY, long weekend

Great place to bring the kids. There are so many pretend stations where kids can dress up and imagine that they are actually in the role with props. They also offer catering so this makes a great option for birthday parties.

Staff was very kind, accommodating and collected amongst the chaos that children induce. Kids had a blast!

My 2 year old toddler had tons of fun here! It's smaller than I had expected but it was the perfect size for her to explore. Each building has its own theme and toys associated with it so tons of opportunities for imaginative play. The cafe was decent as well, food is really made more with the kids in mind so not the best but worked well for my toddler.

The place was pretty but there wasn't much to do, for a family of 3 expect to pay $50 for maybe an hour of fun at most. They also ring the bell at specific time intervals and escort you out. It wasn't a bad place to visit once but it is costly

Nice idea, but it is really too nosy, messy and sensory overstimulating there. Many of the toys and costume pieces are worn out or lost. Also, the fact that you cannot bring inside your own snack for your child is very frustrating.

Very happy hosting our child's birthday party at Kidtropolis. We had a smaller party of 6 children and 10 adults and the smaller party room fit us perfectly. We booked a 10: 30-12: 30 time slot and got all of our activities in. The kids were having a great time in the city area, then they paged our group back as the food and cake arrived so everyone could get something to eat and get back outside for more play. Will definitely plan something here for our 2nd when he hits the proper age to enjoy (probably 3 and up). The facility is clean and seems well-maintained.

I had a birthday party here on September 17,2022. We had 40 people here for the party and had a room upstairs.
Let me start off about the worst part. We payed over 1300$ for everything including food and admission for everyone and to eat in the room upstairs.
The food was HORRIBLE. Especially the pizzas which they charge 23$ per pizza. They were absolutely disgusting with a after taste, and very cheap tasting. The entire party complained how Grosse they were. If your going to not allow outside food at all have decent food atleast for people to enjoy. Thier frozen low quality no taste at all pizzas. I would've rather brought my own pizzas in and enjoyed knowing how good they would be.
I spoke to a manager of Andrew and explained to to him after. He would only give me a 50$ credit (not refund but a pass for 2 kids) which i declined. I asked for a refund of 150$ for the pizzas only that were horrible and everyone in the Party complained about. He was also very rude and said "we can't make everyone happy" exact words by him. I payed 1300$ and they couldn't even refund the money back for the pizzas that were horrible. A tip of over 300$ was also left and that was only for the Staff at which I now regret and they couldn't even give back my money for pizzas.
There was also lots of rides and toys not operating and out of orders.
Overall don't waste your money having a birthday party at a place that just cares about money over quality. You will be DISAPPONTED. MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBBLE AND U PROFESSIONAL as well!

It’s really expensive for what it is, toys are worn or non existent, nothing is kept stocked so once an area has been emptied out it stays empty. Our two year old was bored after an hour, for the price their is better options.

It has all the essentials which was great, but it feels a bit dates for the cost of admission (as of this writing Aug-2022).

Had our daughters birthday party there and we're also coming as guests for someone's parties too. Great place for kids, friendly staff!

Such a cute little indoor place! Price of admission for kids include an adult. There’s a little cafe/restaurant inside for parents to order food but you have to sit off to the side to eat. The little rooms are cute but missing a lot of small items for imaginative play. There are 1-2 workers that walk around cleaning the rooms constantly but still I found it a bit boring but my preschooler had a blast going through all the rooms. We ended up spending 1.5 hours here on a rainy day.

First time going here and we'll definitely be back! My kids are relentless and we were the first ones in the door and stayed until closing. I'll sleep good tonight! 7 solid hours of playing with my kids was priceless. I loved watching other parents interacting with their kiddos through play too! Those memories are priceless. The staff were friendly and kept the mini city clean, constantly bringing toys back to where they belong and tidying up buildings for other kids to enjoy. I'm looking forward to our next adventure at Kidtropolis!

Took my daughter here for the first time last week and she loved it so much. Definitely gonna be going back sometime soon. Staff were friendly and professional to deal with. Thank you for great customer service.

It can get busy on the weekends. But it was a great experience for the kids. Came here to celebrate birthday.

Our family isn't a fan of this place.its literally like a zoo in here.we've been to many other kids play areas.you literally have to watch where u walk or you can bump into a running child.you also gotta watch out for your younger children that don't get hit by other kids running in this establishment.not enjoyable.

My wife and I took our 3 year old son here on the weekend and it was awesome! The space Kidtropolis had was huge and we loved the different play places they had for the kids. It was just like being in a kids city with a jungle gym. The people working we're very friendly and they kept the place very clean! This was our first time going to Kidtropolis and will definitely not be the last!

Loud music causes parents and kids to be frazzled.maybe you guys do that so your paying customers.just do not want to stay too long.

Wonderful place and so grateful it's still open. Sad to see business like these closing because of the pandemic.
Friendly staff, and in a couple hour visit witnessed them sanitizing multiple times (not even many guests at the time)
The place is so much fun, and my little guy had the best time exploring it all. Can't wait to go back again and again.

Firs time visiting today with my 2 year old - she was enamored! She loved it. She went from building to building playing with the props. I love that some of these props are real items (though beat up, but what can you do), ie dentist chair, cash registers, touch screen POS, telephone booth.love it. My daughter's favorite was the grocery store. Friendly staff. Restrooms very clean and well maintained.

Will definitely be visiting again soon.

It was cute but they should warn you that you need lots of loonies. Once you pay to enter, you have to pay for lots of the rides. Wish they disclosed it clearer.

Fun place for kids to play, it's a mini town, so kids got to play with different props and imaginations.

Pros:
- takes COVID vaccine protocols and masks seriously
- nice and welcoming staff
- fun place to hang on rainy days
- clean facilities (bathrooms, cafeteria, etc)

Opportunities:
- slide area gets crowded
- kids bored after 1-1.5 hours due to small space, it could use a bigger playground
- can’t believe there’s still pay rides after entry haha
- could have more sanitizing stations across area

Overall pleasant place to take kids in Richmond.

Lots of fun for kids. My concern is that the place is packed and I didn't see staff cleaning and sanitizing the surfaces and toys.

Their equipments have been well maintained. Not so many slides but lots of tiny stores, shops, like a tiny small city. Great for kids who are big enough to enjoy simulated games.

Nothing could complain! Spacious playing area. They sanitise all area every 2 hours. All stuffs are so nice. Would definitely come back again

Great place for kids to hang out. Staff are very friendly, and they clean the play areas often.

Son had a lot of fun, plenty to do and interesting setup. There are a lot of small rides that cost money, which are fine, but they have a lot of toy dispensers that are everywhere, with flashing lights and very enticing for little kids. They give small cheap toys and some are even a choking hazard. I'm fine paying, they need to make money, but I wish they'd replace the toy dispensers with rides that cost the same amount. I'd rather pay for that. Also, there's no good way to withdraw cash for coins, which is slightly frustrating. Great place, but does have some room for improvement!

Love that it wasn't too busy and everything was spotless.

This place was spic and span clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We took a 4 year old and she had a absolute blast here! We will be back!

Went on a Wednesday during Spring Break at the earliest time slot. Great place for young kids - clean, spacious, and tons to do. It felt just crowded enough, so will probably not be coming here post-COVID, as I imagine it would be even busier.

The Spring Break camp children were quite rowdy and aggressive. Social distancing was not practiced (I was in a playhouse with my niece, and four kids and a camp leader came in).

We were initially really excited to go to this place based on the pictures, but this place is quite crowded. It felt unsafe while staying there. The place is probably operating within the PHO limit of person capacity during COVID because of their large square footage; however, the kids are mostly focus in the play areas. Other kids places has better safety control. We are quite disappointed.

The cafe has good junk food so if you want to be super healthy bring your own food

March 20 Review:

Over crowded! I felt unsafe while staying there. Very disappointed with the experience, spent $46 for 2 kids, stayed there for only about 20min. I felt this place is operating at its normal capacity during COVID. Other kids places has better safety control.

I visited here today.my 3yo loved it, but I noticed the baby activity table was dusty with hairs and dust when my 9 mo played with it. I had a impression that this has not been cleaned for a quit long time. When the closing time, I asked a staff where the bathroom is, right before leaving, and she was like "bathroom is there, but its already closed. " without smile.it was exactly around 2: 30 when I try to use it and I know the time slot is till 2: 30. I had a impression that she want us to leave right away and don't want us to use the washroom, and I can understand that, but she could have said nicer with respect, it was very rude in my opinion. I live close by but I don't think I'm coming back here again. I rather use other kids indoor play place which has service and manner. I will visit 365 fun place instead for rainy day activity next time. All other staff were very nice though.

Staff Denise was very rude and hung up when I said I wasn't comfortable giving my visa though the phone. The last time going I booked came and paid. This time it was a problem. She took all information for booking then asked for my visa. I state about the last time booking I didn't pay in advance and she hung up.

Booked my sons birthday here. Had a bad experience from booking the initial event to the very end. After booking and receiving confirmation of the date, It took them a month to email me about their additional entertainment services that I requested for which at that point changed my mind about because it took so long for the info. 3 or 4 days prior to my event I kept getting called almost every couple hour after getting the initial email to confirm my date. I was extremely annoyed. The first time I picked up I told her I was busy and I would call back when I get a chance and her tone of voice was very bitter after. She literally called me an hour later and asked if it was a good time. I’m not sure why getting a confirmation was so urgent for a kids party. It would be understandable if this was a banquet booking and feeding 100 people but it’s not. I also asked if I could bring ice cream cake at the very end when we wanted to cut cake and to pick it up at DQ since their freezer isn’t big enough and they said no Cus they don’t wanna clean it Cus the cake would melt. Anyways, upon arrival, front staff was not even friendly, not just to me but to my guests as well. Host acted like she didn’t even wanna be there. She didn’t even tell us that the food was ready. It was just sitting in the corner until I saw it. Pizza tasted like cardboard and apple juice pitcher was extremely sweet I had to water it down. Also, the package includes 2 hours of private room but apparently the last THIRTY mins of that time we have to leave so the staff could come clean. They also rushed us out of the room even though there was no other party booked after us. This place is just money hungry. I def don’t recommend booking a party here, save your money. I was not happy with the service and neither were any of the other parents that were only there for 1.5 hours. 1 star cause my child n his friends liked playing in the facility, lots of room to play. Great for the kids but we will never be returning.

If you have a child in the spectrum with food issues, kidtropolis don't allow food from outside, you need to eat the special food, outside the building, if you have a car better. The cafeteria is just for its food.

Our family loves Kidtropolis. We especially love birthday parties there because the friendly staff take care of everything and all the kids always have the best time!

Pretty expensive for its size. I didn't expect to pay $53.55 for three kids compared to other play place with bigger play area we've been to. Also, no outside food and drinks is allowed. Water is okay, but there are no water refilling stations inside. Seriously? They have a different variety of food in their restaurant but most if not all of them are instant frozen food. Great for one time experience but probably won't be coming back due to the price I'd rather go to the couple in the POMOCO areas if coming from Vancouver.

Came for nephews birthday and the place was dirty. They make socks mandatory but there were so many adults and kids wearing shoes and some that weren’t.might as well go play outside at the park.staff looked miserable.must also be very careful as some adults don’t even watch their own kids and staff do not care.

It is a simple mini-town that has fire station, police station, and all kinds of shops in a space around 10000 square feet.

Not very big but big enough for small kids to run around safely especially in rainy days.

The toys are okay-maintained.

There is a cafe inside where u can get drinks, sandwiches, cup noodles, pizza, hotdogs and simple snacks.

The down side is parking. Really limited parking in weekdays. You have to come early or try your luck on that.

No regret coming here, a good place for rainy and snowy season.

It's clean and bright inside. There are theme buildings with all you need for the pretend play: firehouse, police, grosery shop, dentist. Also there is a small area for babies and a slide. It's noisy as a place with kids. We ate a Hawaiian and cheese pizzas and both tasted horrible. I would recommend this place for 3+ toddlers

Clean floor. Multiple indoor playground options available. Admission fee is a bit high compares to others. Employees are basically nice and friendly. Public restrooms available (pretty clean). Credit cards accepted. Nice place for both parents and kids. Free parking lot available.

A creative place for children to play. The space and area is a good size for children to play. Good for birthday parties too. A place for parents to watch their children role play in each station pretending to be teacher, newscaster, dentist, vet, pilot etc.

Got there 20 mins after opening and no parking anywhere! Nothing. We drove around for 20 more mins and couldn't find anything. Others were circling as well.

A bit of a shock to the cost of addmittance. Inside awaits great imagine play for kids. The restaurant costs are reasonable, not over the top, washrooms very clean as is the play areas.

A great CLEAN place for kids to spend HOURS having creative, active imaginative play. One of the best birthdays we've attended!

A real Kid's paradise. A mini city on its own and all the fun. Perfect place for a fun filled b'day party.

Nickel and time a bit too much gets expensive. Fun for a specific age group. Probably 4-6. But quiet at the right time of day.

We've been to Kidtropolis many times with our 3 children, including multiple birthday parties. They always have so much fun and never want to leave! Security and safety are both very good especially with the number of other children there. A great place to go rain or shine, your kids will have a blast!

This is a cool little world for the young kids! Lots of tiny places for the kids to experience inside a little city. The food is healthy at the concession as well

Great place for young kids (under 7 particularly, 3~5 seems perfect). Friendly staff. Food is decent. Good all day play available. Limited parking can be a hindrance.

Place is good but too messy. They don’t have employees to watch kids and some kids are kind of rough. The parents are around but they aren’t paying attention to their naughty children. Kidtropolis isn’t as clean as some of the reviews say it is. The slide structure had hair and food clumps brushes to the side, which was pretty gross. Honestly they should ban all shoes inside the play areas. Good concept but wish it was cleaner and had employees keeping an eye on bigger kids that are rough on the smaller children.

Disappointing. The toys are very disorganized and very worn out. Feels like the result of a Craigslist shopping spree of used Melissa and Doug toys.

It has everything you need! Definitely recommend booking a birthday party there with characters too!
