Dr. Rolfe is very gentle with my pups and takes time to explain things to me. The assistants are very friendly as well.

We've been taking our cats here for 15 years and have always received compassionate, holistic, and informative care. The bottom line has always been about the best interest of our cats, which builds trust. Dr. Rolfe is extremely knowledgeable and provides solutions other vets haven't, improving the quality of our cats' lives.

Made a phone call to check if they accepted new clients and the answer I got was to fill out their application form. After completing and submitting the forms - we waited few days and called back to see if our puppy has been accepted but we were told to keep waiting. After two weeks of no news, we called again just to find out that our application was not even being tracked. Then once they found it, we received an email the day after stating that they are not accepting new clients due to staff shortages. What we are annoyed with this process was that they could have told us two weeks ago over the phone that they are not accepting new clients due to staff shortages rather than making us fill out the forms with personal information and make us wait two weeks when we could have used that time to seek other vets. I'm sure the vet service is good but the goose chase and waste of time was not very pleasant.

We have taken our dogs here for over 10 years. Dr. Rolfe is amazing with both dogs, including a very skittish one. Rates are fair and the front desk service is excellent. A great place to take your pets!

I’ve had a few angels show up in my life and Dr. Rolfe is one of them. I recently had to say goodbye to a little critter I’d had for 20 years. The amount of care and compassion Dr. Rolfe and his team showed me and my gecko was unparalleled. I’d previously left another clinic in tears when they stated I wasn’t allowed to be present for her euthanasia because it’s “not pretty”. I called multiple other Victoria “reptile friendly” clinics and was left feeling so disheartened I was about to go to the mainland to see a specialized herp veterinarian. A friend recommended Dr. Rolfe and I’m so grateful she did. It was the most peaceful goodbye I’ve had in a very long time, thank you for giving me that Dr. Rolfe.

If you’re looking for a veterinarian that truly cares about ALL animals, with a great deal of knowledge and humility, Dr. Rolfe is your guy. And while a peaceful goodbye is priceless, Thetis Heights also charged me far FAR less than the first clinic quoted.

Brought my bird in to see Dr. Rolfe because he hadn’t been himself. Since following Dr. Rolfe’s recommendations, he’s been doing much better! I’d been a bit nervous about being able to find a vet that had the knowledge and experience to treat birds in this small city, but Dr. Rolfe was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. He went above and beyond to not only give medical advice for the concern we came in for, but also for other aspects of care he noticed could be improved. He really cares about his patients and it shows. I’d recommend him to anyone else looking for a vet for their bird.

Dr. Rolfe is so very kind and has a great sense of humour. You can tell he loves his job. Happy to have this vet clinic so close to my house.

Worst vet clinic I’ve ever been too, very rude and do not care about the health of there clients animals if it was possible I would leave a 0/5 star review but it’s not unfortunately either do not recommend you take any animal to this place period

Extremely upset at how we were treated at this office there were multiple unprofessional and unpleasant things I could mention but my most frustrating moment and reason for not returning with either of my dogs is I called in to make an appointment on Friday for my dog who had an area on her tail looking quite irritated they gave me an appointment for Monday at 1: 30pm I arrived a few minutes early was greeted by the staff and my dog was called by the wrong name and I corrected them politely and then they asked if I had an appointment I said yes at 1: 30pm booked on Friday and then was left waiting for over 20 minutes when a staff member finally told me that they do not book appointments at 1: 30 on mondays as it is their emergency spot and they only book same day and was told they had no space for us… I have the call in my phone and have come to this vet for both of my dogs they told me the person working on Friday must have made a mistake and then was told there was nothing available until Friday which I was not willing to let an infection go untreated for another 5 days they then told me if I wanted to try calling Wednesday there is a 50/50 chance I could get in there emergency spot that day and was also told to call waves which actually does not do emergency vet visits anymore and as a vet clinic should probably know this…. So after calling multiple vets upwards of 10 had zero luck also was told central was only taking critical patients I called back thetis more than once because finding a vet taking on new patients or didn’t have a wait list of two weeks was impossible they did absolutely nothing to rectify their mistake and left my dog untreated with an infection the. To make matters worse when I phones to ask for her records and would be taking my business else where after being told multiple times they would not help me or offer an alternative the lady responded with “Great! ” If I owned this business I would be disgusted which the way it is being run and how little they care I went back into the clinic later that day to ask for printed copies of her records which they told me they didn’t know how another girl working said she would talk to the vet and once again my sick dog was sent away after waiting since Friday for an appointment that they double booked…. I am soooo disappointed which thetis heights and they truly DO NOT seem to care about animals well being seeing as I was pretty told sorry not our problem bye.
