Great store. The folks at the sushi counter are amazingly kind, helpful and friendly. All staff are great here. Large deli and bakery selection.

It used to be - really- a pain in the neck going there with very few cashiers operating.the lines were always 3 to 4 people before you get attended.now they have the machines and make the grocery shopping faster! 4 stars because I dislike enormously to see live crabs and lobsters tide up waiting for the right customer.sorry.

Hi there can you please encourage your drivers to follow and obey the posted speed limit of 30 km an hour on McDonald Park Road, they drive too fast and they are a massive vehicle and it could create and cause a fatality and we are doing our best here to make it a safe environment so could your drivers, every single one of them and the last over three weeks have failed to obey posted speed signs and it is causing a danger thank you very kindly.

This review is about the Flower Shop.
A glorious range of plants and flowers, with lots to choose from. Staff are knowledgeable about everything they sell, and they told me how to look after my Aloe Vera that I purchased there.
I made an impulse purchase on a bunch of pretty flowers, by the door. They looked a bit too skinny to fill the vase I had, so two bunches would have been better. Such a purchase might be around $50. You get beauty and life for your money - not to mention Brownie Points. Beauty and life are fleeting and no amount of money can bring them back.
I recommend seizing beauty and life, while the going is good.

Beware of small parking lot. This is the most prone to fender benders according to Sidney police. Also, $130 will get you 1 and 1/4 bags of groceries while Walmart gets you 2+ bags.

My son was flat-out ignored in this store twice by the lot person and once by a clerk in-store. Customer service? I think not. Awkward employees. Won't bother going back.

A bit of an oddly layed out store. Nice staff. Nice people. Excellent flower store. Parking lot is an experience on a busy day.

When thrifty first started it reminded me of Woodward's, I started at "W" in 1966 and left 1981, young staff fun times, customers were the most important to our success now its changed, seems staff not caring about customers just their pay cheque.

Excellent selection of awesome baked goods and fresh fruit and veggies. Had the stuffed sole and it was excellent.

I was so looking forward to my lunch but I guess I should have looked at it in more detail. NOT GREEK SALAD.
I will try tommorrow and if I see a "Greek salad" with 4 small slices cucumber, 6 olives and a few tomatoes, a small grind spread out feta then I will know that you think 80 percent cheap lettuce is a Greek salad.wow I hope it was an accident

The Floral Department is amazing! The garden center does not disappoint either! Great customer service too

Great locations, good pricing and generally clean. Have noticed recently staff getting abused by ignorant and uneducated customers regarding social distance, proper use of a face mask and not being polite.

Remember the first weeks of the pandemic, when stores ran out of stock and it seemed shopping was a risky endeavour? Shopping at this Thrifty's remains a challenge.

Every Sunday we shop for our parents here and invariably the store has run out of sales items. I realize the parent company, Sobeys, has changed their stock to reflect what sells best, thus reducing the overall selection of brand choices. But this store can't stock to meet customer needs. Every weekend!? !

I'm not sure if the small aisle size contributes to customer confusion, but too many people don't follow any store rules regarding social distancing. Staff seem oblivious, with the exception of the ones monitoring the front door.

And don't even get me started on the parking lot: stalls undersized, bumper car parking and snarky drivers!

As always it's a great store, helpful staff and excellent choice of products. Prices are not dissimilar to Save On and you get that premium customer service experience.

They have Covid protocols down to a fine art. Most people sre very conscious of distancing. Bonus is great meat and produce.

A decent outlet of the Thrifty's / Sobey's chain. The parking lot is a little tight, but it's seldom busy enough for that to be an issue.

Nice deli, good but limited bakery, nice and bright grocery shopping area with a very large selection of both internationsl and local foods

A nice store with a good layout a flow. They did a good job with implementing social distancing. I would prefer if they only let people with masks on into the store, which is why it is not 5 stars.

Thriftys floral shop is fabulous. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of seasonal and regular arrangements as well as birthday balloons. This is my go to spot for friend and family birthdays.

DON"T BOTHER. Like other Thrifty's, out of sale items. Tried to get a rain check but they wouldn't issue until a staff went and checked. Cashier called for help but no one showed up so i just left. What a lousy grocery chain!

Cashiers are always pleasant and helpful. I appreciate the staff trying to reinforce covid guidelines to patrons.

Good spot for outdoor plant choices and sales. Decent offerings in meat section. Produce looks fresh, my favorite place for organic apples, celery and chard.

My wife and I frequently use this store and today bought 2 Ribeye steaks that were not fit for eating as well as the other

We used the Sidney Thrifty Food's flower shop for our wedding flowers and were so impressed! These ladies made the most beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets I have ever seen. They made exactly what I had envisioned. They were so friendly and easy to work with, and just helped me create the most beautiful floral arrangements. They are true experts at what they do. We had my bouquet, 7 bridesmaids, one flower girl, one tossing bouquet, 8 boutonnieres for the guys, and then 3 huge buckets for our centerpieces/ isle flowers (we used them for the isle then transferred them to the tables). We were so happy with our flowers.

Just moving into the area and am thrilled to see such a great variety of fresh, healthy food, including authentic Poke bowls! For a busy writer who doesn't want to cook, this is perfect.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Lots of promotion with sales and Airmiles. Good quality of groceries. Superb customer service. Easy parking. Clean environment and organized displays.

Very odd layout and pretty inconvenient in my experience, Sunday at 6pm it was of course very busy and not enough staff on hand or very slow. But right in the heart of Sidney and great local van island products that I love

Typical thrifty store, parking is very limited and tight. The store on Sidney is a bit smaller than others but have the same items mostly.

Always great shopping experience
Everyone friendly and personable, informative and quick. Close to what it once was with the Campbell's but just quiet not the same. That was the "real' Thrifty's.

Always like their meat section. Thriftys also carries more specialty items other grocery stores don't carry like rice spaghetti noodles

Our favorite choice for stocking up on the way to Mayne island. The people at the deli counter are really good about all the allergy and sensitivity requirements we have.

Parking lot is insane and the store is on the small side, but the staff is always friendly and they have a wide selection of brands.
