Thrifty Foods

Nice little grocery store with a really decent little bakery and deli. Was a big upgrade over the options available at the hospital down the street.

Has items you can't find in other stores here in Comox Valley. Cornmeal etc
They also have Dan D mixed nuts/fruits which are hard to find where I live. Always pleasant cashiers/people stocking shelves willing to answer questions.
Clean inside and outside is very clean. Prices a wee above average of Superstore, but quality fresh veg/fruit and deli sandwiches are great.

Great grocery store if you're looking to try something unique or that's hard to find, but are the prices ever high.

I love thrifty's first of all and this one in particular, I must say definitely had great in-store made food. And large variety. Awesome! Would definitely come again

If you enjoy expired milk a week past the expiry date and having to pay attention to all expiration dates including the meat, and always having to check your receipt along with having to re-bag everything, then by all means come to this location. If not, then i would highly suggest the Courtenay location which is 10x better run and organized. If you are just fed up with Thrifty Foods completely at this point, go to Walmart.

No wifi since Aug at least.they keep saying they're getting parts.take the sign down please its false advertising. I need wifi for my phone and seem to always have questions for home when I get there

I came in Monday and received the most excellent service from a young worker at seafood. It was a pleasure to see the new generation working hard and being compassionate to the older generation. Definitely will be coming back soon. Thank you Owen keep grinding young fella

Most expensive store in the valley. Bought some t bones not very good they have the best our of all the stores

Good selection. Easy parking. I miss actual dollar days. I know everthing is more now due to supply issues fuel coat ect. But there are still items that could go on for a buck. It was my favorite grocery sale.

Always the best stop. A fresh selection of everything, cheerful and knowledgeable staff. Local items too! The deli made us sushi by request today and my girls were very happy. Thank you!

The people that work at Thrifty Foods are the nicest people. They are following all the covid19 protocols and are very helpful when you can't find what you need.

Great Thrifty Foods, clean store, friendly staff, and the meat counter is fantastic. Produce is often pretty pricey here though, so we tend to get that stuff elsewhere.

Worst part is the parking log, no fault of theirs. If you have a big truck like I do, it can be interesting at times!

I've shopped at Thrifty Foods for decades (Victoria, mostly), and I like it. But they need to list the ingredients on their breads, and I wish they carried more vegan products.

Good quality produce and has great selection of foods, even the random items a recipe may call for that you have never heard of. Store is kept clean and staff are friendly. All this comes at a higher price tag than you would pay at another grocer for similar items.

I love shopping at Thriftys! Even more so in these times. They’re the only ones who’ve maintained excellent customer service no matter what. And just in a fake polite way but with genuinely lovely kind compassionate and helpful staff. Always clean and organized and the produce section is fantastic. Love how they support local too and offer a great selection in the vitamin and wellness department.

Clean. Good selection and the layout is nice and open.
They also have taken extra steps to keep their staff and customers safer during the pandemic.
