Tidal Taco Shack

The food here is pretty good! We were in awe of the picturesque surroundings and wished we could spend more time here. However, our children had to use the washroom, and unfortunately, there were no washrooms around. There is a picnic table for adults and an adorable picnic table for kids. We had chairs in our car that we used to sit with our kids at the kid's picnic table to make ourselves comfortable. It's a great place to go if you're looking for a nice view, good food, and a drive.

Ordered 2 burritos, took way too long considering there was no line. And they gave us the wrong burrito. Got the vegan burrito instead of the fish taco and it was super bland. Was very disappointed.

Best tacos and burritos on the island. Great value for the ammount of food you get. Quick and friendly service, ocean side with picnic tables

Amazing food and a great kids offering, my go to lunch spot. Always love to get lunch and take in the view.the Bowl's, Taco's and the Burrito's are all amazing.

We tried for the first-time while on vacation.
It was awesome food very fresh and lots of flavor and very good portion size for the price.
I would highly recommend you try this little jem.
It's just out of Qualicum Bay area heading towards Bowser on the old island west hwy.

Can't review it yet. Sadly. "Back in 15 min" sign turned in to a bit longer. Hunger drove us to Q Burger in Qualicum. Highly recommend.

The best Fish Taco I have had! Best view! Add a bit of hot sauce and lime. Hands down best on the island. In my opinion!

I thought the flavors didn't come out that well: 'just some fried fish and veg on a taco shell'. I've had better ones. Location is beautiful, and we sat in the grass to eat it. They sell local sodas and on a hot day: that's what you want;)

Very good tacos, ordered a couple of the vegan tacos. No shade nearby for those hot days unfortunately. Cash or Interac transfer only, no cards for payment.

Finally had our first burritos today. They were awesome! And very generous! And very accommodating regarding food intolerances.

The burritos were phenomenal. We had Pacific Cod and Coconut Prawn, I have shellfish allergy and they were more than happy to accommodate. DELICIOUS!

Omg! Hands down best tacos. The Coconut prawn are healthy and delicious. The chicken is packed with flavour. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Chicken Thai burrito is delicious. We went for lunch and then craved some more so came back for dinner. Such a beautiful location too. You can walk on the beach while waiting for your food- what more can you ask for? !

Food is great but customer service is lacking. Sat in the parking lot patiently waiting for my order for over an hour. There was a sign that said they are short staffed, so I figured that's why it was taking so long. When I went to the window and inquired they hadn't even started on it, in fact it had been completely misplaced. Only a can of pop offered as an apology. Big fan of this place until today.

I am a handicapped senior. Ordered a most delicious burrito and the lovely young lady offered to bring it to my car. So happy I stopped.

Every time we have stopped, I've gotten a bad case of explosive diarrhea. I love tacos and I think I'll go somewhere else.

Pretty good. Tacos and burritos were good quality but lacked any spice. Needs some hot sauce! Anything to give it some kick!

Beautiful spot to stop for a most delicious lunch. The food is fresh and plentiful. Worth the drive! The wait time for our food was less than 15 minutes, great improvement from previous visits. Kudos for this

Delicious tacos! The tacos are larger than normal, so I recommend for a snack you get one, if you want a meal get two.

Absolutely amazing food! If your looking for a great portion and a blast of flavour your in the right place! Love the location too, sitting on the beach with your lunch is amazing! Doing great guys keep it up!

They serve up an excellent fish taco loaded with crunchy slaw, fresh tomato pepper salsa. So tasty and filling great price.
They are often very busy prepare for a wait

Tidal taco shack had to be one of the best hidden gems on the central part of Vancouver Island. The fresh battered fish in Mexican style tacos and burritos are to die for. This shack is small - I'm talking the size of a closet, yet they crank out the best food around. Expect a long wait on the weekends, but rest assured it's worth the wait!

Good food, service was subpar though, forgot our drinks until we remembered, told us our order would be 40 minutes, waited about an hour for our food. Good shrimp burritos though!

Most wonderful fish tacos, get the guacamole on the side. You dont need it but the layers of flavor, fantastic. Its worth the wait.

The best fish tacos I have ever had! You have to wait a good 30-45 minutes for your order to be ready so be sure to get enough and just bring leftovers home with you if need be. Nothing worse than finishing one of these tacos, realizing that you're still hungry and then having to wait for more! The live music here is great too. Be sure to visit when they have an artist performing

Exceptionally slow service, mediocre food. Prepared well enough, but bland and boring. Not worth the wait or price.
