This is the most unprofessional, poorly managed clinic on the island. They are insensitive and rude. I recommend steering clear of this clinic if at all possible. I was literally told that my privileges have been revoked after only asking when my appointment was.unbelievable

This place was fine until the take over. I have been going to this place for treatment for 8+ years, They aren't as accommodating as it was before. They charge now if you miss 2 appointments. You ask for a later appointment and they make it the moment the clinic opens. I will not be returning after my over the phone prescription refill and will be seeking treatment from another place.

No longer a walk in clinic, despite having a monthly walk in schedule on their website. The same as with burnside walk in, they have a schedule online that says the hours of walk in, another page on their site that says the hours & it literally says you can walk in. But once you get there, there is a little note that says no walk ins available. JUST PUT IT ON YOUR WEBSITE. Get your kid or niece to update your website so the people who need walk ins because they don’t have a doctor don’t waste their time getting there. There’s even bus route options on their website for people who don’t have a vehicle or a doctor, but once you get there there’s no doctors.

The doctor shortage is not their fault. But update your website please.

This clinic is really good. Every time I have a scheduled appointment they always call me in the provided timeframe. They do their best to listen to your issues and have you in for an examination or prescribe you medication. The front staff is always really nice too and helpful in setting up

Literally watched them ignore my calls. Easier to try to get into any other clinic, very difficult to even get someone to answer the phone let alone to get an appointment. Staff are very emotional and snappy at customers. Don’t ask about their walk in clinic sign, they’ll belittle and bully a old man for thinking a sign that says “walk-in clinic” means walk in clinic. I can’t believe they’ve been treating people here so poorly for so long now. Made me want to cry seeing how they spoke to a sweet old man who was just rightly confused.

Generally frustrating to deal with.
Tells me you're gonna call at 9am when you open.
Calls at 850.
Calls back 20 times from 9-930 no answer and one pick up/hang up quick.
Can't leave a message.

Can't wait to go somewhere else for my results next time

Edit: I know who the receptionist is and I am not surprised. She's straight up has been doing her nails while the phone is off the hook and doesn't answer.

Emailed to schedule a phone appointment. My doctor told me he'd booked an in person followup appointment, and they would call me back to confirm. The receptionist forgot about my appointment and didn't call back at all. I called back for a different thing a month later and was informed the office forgot to book my in person appointment. They re-booked it and gave me the date of May 26th at 3: 00 pm. I've just arrived on time and been told that I was actually booked in for the day before, even though I carefully confirmed the date over the phone. They've rebooked me for a third time for Monday. If there are no problems with my third appointment, I will raise the review to 2 stars because it was at least convenient to be able to schedule a phone appointment over email.

I have always received excellent medical care from this clinic. They are very busy and can be hard to get in with for urgent issues, however that is the unfortunate reality of all medical clinics in Victoria. Although, even with these challenges, I feel they do an excellent job of triaging and making sure the right people are seen/spoken with at the right times.

I also appreciate the ability for the receptionists to discuss scheduling via email, and I have always gotten quick responses from them whenever corresponding this way.

I have always received adequate care for knowledgeable care providers and respectful and friendly interactions with the reception.

I give the service 5/5 stars; however, I was disappointed to find the clinic closed today. I dropped my rating because it only takes a minute to edit hours on Google.

I drove straight over to request a prescription at the advice of my chiropractor and way prepared to wait for hours but now I need to drive back across town to RJH. Sitting is contraindicated in my current status so this wasted trip is frustrating.

Your clients/patients accept that hours are subject to change according to operational demands and staffing levels. Please respect our time by keeping hours or opperation up-to-date.

Mar 2022 After suffering a month with a sore thumb I called me new doctor about it and after 2 visits over another 3 week, she say wait till 3 more week till blood tests and keep going to Physiotherapy. My pharmacy told me I should see another Doctor, so I email Tillicum medical and was set up an appointment with Dr Mah in 2days. He called me on his cell and I sent a picture of my hand, he said “yep that’s infected” and put me on antibiotics. Feb 2023 Oh it was to good to be true, now a year later-infection in my hands again (landscaping, thorns) and I emailed to set up another appointment with Mr Mah. The receptionist was rude and kept saying “we can’t deal with this, seek someone else”, I asked where can I go then (hospital?) and they couldn’t give me an answer. I finally just threaten him with a bad review, texting the doctor personally about how rude they were being, after that they finally were professional and set me up an appointment.

Sadly not much nice can be said. My experience was very disappointing. The Method I experienced of treatment via phone was very poor. This in turn resulted in the wrong drug being dispensed. Even the pharmacist raised an eyebrow. (Who I may add, brought more clarity) It was Impossible to get a timely follow up, and/or the corrective action. I’m Thankful that I found better and timely assistance elsewhere, along with the referral as it turns out I needed.

I'm surprised to read the negative reviews of the Tillicum Medical Clinic. The Tillicum Medical Clinic, and Dr Perry have been my families family doctor for at least the past 15 years, and has always been the helpful to my families health care needs. Although Doctor Perry's opinion on matters may be swayed by third party influence.

Even though I wasn't seen here the receptionist was extremely kind, caring and thoughtful. She directed me to services that would be able to assist me and truly wanted to help. She went above and beyond. Best customer service I've had in a long time. Thanks for being awesome when I was in a super vulnerable state. I will recommend this clinic to my friends:)

Would not recommend to anyone. Multiple appointments never happened as the doctors never phoned, meaning I was unable to receive my prescription in time, and had to get an emergency supply from the pharmacy, even though I had planned to have it refilled a month before it expired. Once I finally received an appointment, I was told my prescription couldn't be refilled by this doctor and I would have to wait another week and a half, even though I was moving countries then and would no longer be able to pick up the prescription so would have to keep dealing with withdrawal for an unspecified amount of time. Had to call the receptionist every day for a week to book another appointment and I know that my counsellor tried to phone multiple times and was never able to get through.

Worse clinic ever.
I would love to give no star if I can.

They never pick up call, also take a long time to reply email.

The doctor gave me a referral letter on Mar 22 but he forgot to sign. I send a email back to clinic and no reply. Then I brought it to clinic, and I was told they will call me back once doctor back on the next day. I wait another week but still didn't get anything.
Apr 22 at 12: 23pm I email them again for my referral letter, the assistant ask me to email them again at 2: 30 for reminding. Like I'm assistant's assistant. On Apr 25 I finally got my signed referral letter. Then I ask them is my daughter referral letter have signature on it because we have referral letter at the same day, but my daughter's referral was send to specialist directly so I can't check. Doctor said he can't check cause he was too busy. I email the reception again still no reply.

Worse clinic ever.

Had a phone call appointment booked for 3: 40pm. Made sure I was home by then. Waited by the phone all day. Sound was on, no one was on the line. No one called. After two hours of waiting I tried calling - I called every 1.5hrs with no one picking up at the other end. I would wait as the phone rang only to have my call dropped repeatedly. No voicemail left, no one even tried to call- even though I received emails and messages saying to be ready at 3: 40pm. I booked the appointment three days before and am leaving town - now without the prescription I need.

I am unsure how I can reply to my review response but I have no missed calls from the clinic on that day or the day after. I had my phone on and by my side all day. I checked my call history and there were no missed calls nor were their voicemails. I’m happy you will be keeping this in consideration for the future.

Overall, terrible place. No one cares - well the receptionist doesn't. That lady at the front is miserable. They just wanna get you out as fast as possible. I try to understand that they're overworked, but what's the point of an appointment if you don't get seen or its hours past? They often schedule your appointment for AFTER they close. Don't even bother. Ever.

This does not seem to be a safe clinic for trans and non-binary people, or those with mental health concerns, especially anyone seeking help navigating the system.

I was forced to dead name myself multiple times through e-mail and over the phone, despite letting the receptionist know that my name was not the same as my legal name, and despite the fact that I signed off every e-mail with the name I use now. The clinic can say they were not aware since I did not disclose anything about my gender (because generally that does not feel safe) but it is this type of lack of awareness around dead naming and casual dismissal of a persons identity that makes it hard for gender queer people to get involved with the medical system when they are unwell.

When the doctor used the wrong name, I quickly corrected him and he responded with "ok. ". He was very abrupt and seemed impatient to get this appointment over with, so much so that our phone conversation lasted only 6 minutes. His manner was dismissive and cold, and he interrupted me or interjected while I was talking so often that I began to feel very uncomfortable. He said he would not refer me to a psychiatrist because the wait lists are long, which is something everyone struggling with their mental health is aware of, and is not a reason to not be placed on a list.

This doctor has a hostile attitude, and I am accounting for the fact that it is difficult to read tone over the phone. I don't need a doctor to be friendly, but I think it is reasonable that they should be helpful in facilitating a difficult conversation about ones health. After my own bad experience, I read the reviews here, AND asked people I know personally who had a similar interactions through this clinic. It seems that there is a doctor at this clinic who is routinely very cold, abrupt and unhelpful. I have seen the official responses to negative reviews saying that Telehealth makes it difficult to have personable interactions during covid but this is a reoccurring issue many people seem to be having with the same doctor.

I recognize that it is my responsibility to advocate for myself in those challenging moments, so what I want to share is the fact that this doctor did everything in his power to make me feel like my questions and needs were unimportant and that he did not care, which significantly reduced my ability to get what I deserved out of the appointment which should have been a full fifteen minutes or at the very least, ten minutes rather than six.

Waited for 4 hours to get a referral for a sleep clinic only for an extremely overweight rude doctor tell me I was fat and give me a piece of paper stating so. I’m of healthy weight for my age and took the piece of paper to the sleep clinic. They were in disbelief the doctor would use this as a referral and raised hell so I didn’t have to go back and redo the process. Worst of all turns out I have severe sleep apnea which if left untreated could’ve lead to an early death of heart disease. Never go to this clinic unless you want long wait times, a rude doctor and a wrong diagnosis

I had booked in over the phone with a doctor and when I talked to him I felt like he didn't care or was cold. Just another phone call and they almost become desensitized. Never an issue with the receptionists I talk to. But he asked me a few questions about my concern and then if I did any research about medications. Then asked which I would prefer. Which seemed very terrible. I don't want to deal with that doctor again.

I am very frustrated. I called yesterday to set up an appointment for a telephone call with a doctor, the lady who answered the phone was very kind and quickly set up an appointment for me for today. My appointment was scheduled at 10: 10am and I was told that the doctor would call me on the number I have when setting up the appointment. I never received a call. I have tried 10 times all throughout the day to speak with someone to see why my appointment was missed but I continue to be sent to the message saying to call back later. I will not be using this clinic again.

I've been going to this clinic for years. The reception staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The doctors are terrific and thorough.
I'm always very happy with the service I get here.

Horrible experience with one of the doctors here. I have a history with PCOS and I have been having lower back pain and other symptoms. I was worried I have a cyst and I was completely shut down by the doctor when I explained my concern that I may have a cyst because of the back pain as he immediately laughed and explained "cysts don't cause back pain". A simple search will tell you that ovarian cysts do in fact cause back pain and I've had ovarian cysts off and on for almost 6 years so I would know. I would not recommend going here, especially if you are a women.

Nice staff. Had the worst doctor I have ever talked too. It's like he didn't care what so ever. Basically asked me do you want and I'll send it to that pharmacy. Was super rude. I asked what he thought could be wrong he said "I don't know I'm not your regular doctor. " Got to love these telephone appointments. Not impressed. If you need pharmaceutical drugs without any concern or question he would be the doctor to call.

Abhorrent service. Without going into too much detail, I was referred here for treatment but on the first phone call they literally hung up on me for "not answering the doctors questions properly". Called back but they refused to help saying I was being rude but I was just confused and asking for clarification. Only after pleading with them was I able to get them to transfer my referral to a different clinic, or else my months-long wait for treatment would've had to be started over from scratch!

To the doctors and staff at this office: Maybe it was a difficult Friday? Maybe we got off on the wrong foot? Whatever it was you can't begin to understand how much pain and stress this situation caused and is still causing. A little empathy and understanding goes a long way and if you can't handle a simple question then you shouldn't be practicing medicine; your actions could get someone seriously hurt. You should be ashamed of yourselves for treating vulnerable, distressed people in this way.

I'm going in today with some reluctance. I really hope that these bad reviews are just because of an already heightened emotional state due to being sick and not because the medical clinic is terribly run. We will see I guess.

Poor customer service, did some test, the doctor never had the courtesy to contact me about my results. Talk bout small island mentality it exist at this clinic. Very despicable, distasteful and should not be in operation. No empathy is exhibited for patients. I wonder if these people don't have families to.

I went to see the clinic on request of my boss as she was concerned about my cough. Dr. Mah, was very concerned and professional. Bit of a long wait, the receptionist was a little abrupt, but it was a "packed house" and she was alone, so I don't blame her, it was the start of covid. Dr. Mah is great, listens attentively. The waits are sometimes longer than originally told, but its like that in every clinic.

I used to live down the street and so have been to this clinic a number of times. I have had terrible experiences with 3 different doctors here, one of whom appeared not to know how to do a simple blood pressure reading and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say.

The Admin I met was very kind and the doctor diagnosed my ailment well, prescribed the right drugs, took specimen for needed tests. I am okay now.

The receptionists and Dr. Trudeau were so nice? I came in earlier because ive been having seizures for 2 years and was too scared to get checked out for a while because i didnt wanna know if i had a tumor or not or something like that. They were super understandings and they were both such sweet ladies. So proud of dr. Trudeau being able to show her true self to the world!

I went there on the 30 December 2019 to get a physical checkup and was told it's not going to happen today, come back tommorow around 9: 30. So I returned on the 31st around 9: 20 and was told there would be about a 50 minute wait, and to come back and check in, in about 10 minutes. So I returned in 10 minutes to check in and was told to have a seat. Not sure on the check in time if there was at least a 50 minute wait. So I took a seat while waiting I overheard the 2 receptionists talking about their wonderfull, summer holidays, when the phone rang and one of them answered and told the person calling to to Please hold, the person was put on hold and they continued their conversation for another 3 to 4 minutes before picking up phone to help caller. One hour passed and I was put in a room to wait for Doctor. When the Doctor came in he asked what he could do for me, I said I would like a complete physical, he advised me they don't do physicals they are sympton based, so I explained to him a few concerns I had, so he checked my blood pressure, and listened to my heart and lungs. He then gave me a lab request for blood work and off I went, my total time with this doctor was about 5 minutes, which was consistant with every patient who he saw while I was waiting. I felt so rushed I forget to mention some other concerns I had, so that will require another visit. Unfortunately the last 2 doctors who where our doctor who practiced at treatment centre retired leaving me without a family doctor. When I checked my blood work results on line, I noticed he didn't check off my cholesterol, nor did he request a urine sample, as I thought they where very important tests for standard blood work.

Been there 3 times and each time around 3pm, they had a sign saying they were closed even tho the website says 9pm. Please up date the web page more often it's very inconvenient to go all the way there for no reason.

After waiting for almost five hours, Dr. Mah there spent less than five minutes looking at my problems, gave the most vague answers to my questions, and when asked about the cause and future prevention of the problem, his reply was a mere shoulder shrug.

Last 3 experiences here have been the same, no idea why I come back.
Medimaps shows a 45 minute wait, you come in and get told an hour. Okay, plenty reasonable. You come back around the hour period and get told another hour. You then follow up an hour later, to be told another hour. This then happens again.

Every. Freaking. Time. Only here.
