Tinhorn Creek Vineyards

Went for a wine tasting but was turned away at 5: 20. Found out they don't pour after 5 but the tasting room stays open until 6.

5/5 for the amazing service they provided to us! We were a large group but they still managed to deliver amazing service to us! The wine tasting is $20 and their wine tastes amazing. The board range from $20 to $40 and they are also delicious! Definitely recommend this winery.

We tried to do a wine testing. Only do sit-down, i understand butvwe didnt want that so one person offered we could purchase a glass.next person said they were not set up for that.thrn they offered a glass at the grass.uggg nope changed thier minds again.off to the next place

My sister in law and I visited their winery this last weekend. Nice wines, great views, but something that was really shocking was the 20$ tasting fee. I get that places have started to up their tasting fee from free to maybe 5 or 10 $, but most places at least offer to waive the fee with purchase of wine. Not here. 20$ fee per person, even if your purchase wine. Unfortunately as nice as the area is, won't be returning. It's just not worth it.

5 samples tasted and none of them were drinkable. I'm sure the resturant is lovely but kinda academic if you cant enjoy the wine
We learnt two interesting things during our wine tasting at Tinhorn and within BC generally. Firstly, the meaning of Tinhorn and secondly, about 90% of BC wine is purchased within the Province. Both these facts put some context around BC wines and Tinhorn in particular.

Walked into the tasting and store with my family. It was not busy at all. Four staff roaming around the tasting room. We stood for many minutes and not one person acknowledged our party. We actually asked one of the staff a question after roaming the store for a bit and it felt like we were insulting them. We had visited many wineries through the regions and they were all so friendly so we were extremely surprised.

We were a group of 4 for a patio tasting that was served by Rhoda on a beautiful fall day overlooking the valley.
Rhoda was quite knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough in her presentation of the wines that we sampled.
Wines always seem to taste better when being served by someone who takes pleasure in what she's doing!

If you want to learn about some great wine while having fun, you should book a wine tasting with Rhoda and Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. She was very knowledgeable about all the wine and took the time to answer all our questions. The best part about the visit was her sense of humour. She made the experience even more enjoyable! This winery was our last stop for the day, and it was by far the best of the day. The service was excellent, the wine was delicious and the whole experience was delightful. Rhoda was so warm and generous, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make our tasting something special. She was truly a gem, and I would head back there any time. If you're up that way definitely stop in for a tasting. You won't be disappointed. And thanks again Rhoda!

Great views and consistently pleasing wines. Had a sit down tasting hosted by Rhoda on the patio. She was extremely personable and made our experience feel genuine (not canned or scripted like some tastings can be). Five star service! We loved everything from the view to the additional retail offerings in the wine shop. Thank you!

Had an incredible experience being educated by Linda at Tinhorn. She is very knowledgeable and created a fun experience. Also, Rhoda & Betty are delightful. Overall, one of the best tasting experiences I have had. Thank you Linda!

We had friends visiting from Switzerland and headed to Tinhorn for a tasting. We were warmly greeted by Bettyanne and Rhoda. We proceeded to our tasting led by Linda at the counter and were asked if we'd like to have our tasting on the deck. Great idea! We proceeded outside and had a fabulous tasting with Linda. She was informative and delightful. We tasted some wonderful wines in a beautiful setting with outstanding service.

We then proceeded to Miradoro for a fabulous dinner. What an evening. Thanks Tinhorn!

Four of us went for a tasting last week and we left as wine members! Love this place. The wine and property were both outstanding. Our server was Pam. I think she is still smiling. So nice! We will be coming back Osoyoos!

Inexperienced server gave us wine which was okay since it was his first week. However, we tried to clarify with the hostess that we wanted the regular tasting and they tried to make us pay for a more expensive tasting. Overall felt very snobby and the wines were average.

What a great experience! My wife and I are visiting from Ontario. My Aunt and Uncle said we need to try Tinhorn…so the four of us went and had a great tasting experience. It was enhanced by our hostess Rhoda…she was very knowledgeable and really made the experience so amazing! Highly recommended.

First time in Oliver, and Tinhorn was the first stop of the day. Not only were we spoiled with some great wine on a gorgeous property, but we had the pleasure of being assisted by Rhoda, she was an absolute joy! Super knowledgeable and very friendly! Highly recommend

We stopped into TinHorn Creek Winery to pick up our club wine shipment & we so lucky to be served by Showna! She gave us an amazing tasting outside on the patio explaining the beautiful whites & reds from this outstanding winery! The winery is creating a beautiful Library of older wines & will be offering special tasting events! We are looking forward to our next visit at Tinhorn Creek with Showna!

Our wine tasting experience was informative and included a variety of great wine. Our hostess Pam was friendly and fun!

Excellent experience with Bettyanne. She was very knowledgable and friendly. We were not rushed and loved sitting on the patio. The Chardonnay and 2018 Merlot were excellent.
We will be back!

I am a visitor from England and today sampled the delights of wine tasting at Tin Horn with the charming hostess Bettyanne. It a was a most pleasant afternoons experience. I was particularly impressed with Bettyanne’s knowledge of the wine making process. I was pleased that Bettyanne knew the correct pronunciation of that tricky little word for wine glasses - Reidell to rhyme with needle and not the incorrect name that is associated with a famous movie from the 1980’s. As a connoisseur of all processes in wine making, these small details made me very happy. In particular, the Viognier was most delicious. I left a very happy customer. Five stars for Bettyanne.

We went for the wine, as we already knew it was great, and then continued to have a fantastic tasting with Linda. Knowledgeable, funny and had a great time for my cousin's birthday. Will be back soon

We had a lovely time at Tinhorn Creek Winery. Although the weather was cold and miserable, the welcome we received was very warm. We were introduced to the wines by Megan who was bright and cheerful. We enjoyed our tasting and the valley views.

It was my first time wine tasting and Pamela was a wonderful host. She was terrific explaining the different wines and how they were made. It was a really enjoyable afternoon.
My favorite wine was the Oldfield reserve Merlot!

Megan was so personable & full of knowledge. I’m a sandhill wine club member and they were so accommodating to give us a private wine tasting. They had everything set up for us and ready to go as we had called ahead. Loved our experience with Tinhorn & Megan. She’s a great asset to Tinhorn! Cheers.

Oct. 10,2021 my wife and I shared a tasting flight experience accompanied by a wonderful hostess, Megan - young, bright, knowledgeable and gracious. She provided a lovely array of wines, all of which are worthy of attention.
Also, Steven, the Sommelier not only visited us with his knowledge and expertise but also treated us to a couple of other beautiful wines that instilled us to purchase a few library wines. The day was a 38th wedding anniversary celebration and we were truely blessed with the attention and wines.
Thankyou so much Megan and Steven, we will do our best to pass it forward.

Whites were strong - but the service is going to keep me coming back - Rhoda was such a delight, what a fabulous experience.

We have spent the last week dong a tour of the wineries in Oliver. Has been an awesome experience. Visited the Tinhorn wineries and the Rosé is one of the best you can get on the bench - Rhoda was one of the most engaging servers we met and provided exemplary service. Strongly recommend

Colin and another lady whom I missed the name of (mature, glasses, blonde, straight/shoulder length hair) were absolutely a pleasure to have directing us. So very friendly from the moment you arrived to the moment you walked out the door. The view was beautiful, lunch at the restaurant was so very flavourful and unique. I highly recommend the black glass wine tasting, so unique and fun for everyone!

Had dinner there tonight. This is the third time eating at this establishment. Pizza is so so
Pasta is ok. But tonight the salmon was really disappointing. Served with cut up peaches? Cold burnt bread pieces. The salmon was also cold. Would not recommend this restaurant for its food.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'expérience et le service. Nous étions avec les enfants et le vignoble étaient très accommodant. Le plateau de charcuterie était excellent. La vue sur le patio pour la dégustation et la marche dans les vignes ont rendus notre visite mémorable.

We visited this winery on Sunday, Sept 5, with a pre-booked tasting for a large group. Sadly we encountered the same rude hostess as we had during other visits. She is abrupt and unwelcoming, not allowing us to ask questions or seek clarification on her directions. The other staff were very pleasant and professional. We enjoyed the wines and bought several bottles. However, given our repeated experiences with this very unprofessional and disrespectful staff we likely will not return. She should not be the face of this lovely winery. We hope the owners take appropriate steps to address her poor behaviour.

Fantastic experience.loved our tasting so much we are now next door at the restaurant.

Simply amazing. The experience here was not only awesome but very informative. The wine's were delicious and our wine connoisseur Max really enhanced our experience. Wasn't rushed, very enjoyable.

As always, Manny and his entire crew (Jeff, Sam Jordan et al) provide a superb experience. From the greeting to the finale, the cuisine and wines are remarkable. I wish that I could say the same about the winery. Aside from Rhoda, (who is great), the rest of the folks managed to screw up our "crush club" order (we have been members for some time) beyond belief. We dine at Miradoro frequently and are always delighted. I have resigned from the crush club as it is too frustrating to deal with the wholesale incompetence of those in charge of the programme. As a former longe term grape grower and supplier to Peller, I suggest that you need to transfer the skillset and attitude of the Miradoro staff to the wine shop.

Pam (Pamela) served us our flight of 4 wines tasting but added in two extra reserves wines. We picked up two Chardonnays & one Cabernet Franc.

Amazing. At first I balked at the fee, but it honestly was a totally worthwhile experience. To sit, in a stunning environment, to take your time with the wines, and to have an awesome host like Rhoda guide us through made for my best wine tasting experience in all my years up here.

Rhoda was fun, well informed and just really enjoyable. I totally buy more wine when the host is like her - she definitely made the visit. Could not recommend enough.

The wines themselves were awesome. Totally surprised me.

Highly recommend if you want a different, more elevated, relaxed, fun experience than the usual tasting cattle call.

Great staff. Very congenial and helpful. Resteraunt is very worthwhile with a great menu. Try the grilled cheese sandwich.
