TJ's The Kiddies Store Marine Dr.

I had ordered baby furniture from another baby store but was hugely disappointed that the items were not shipped when they were supposed too. I waited 12 weeks, thankfully this store had the same items in stock. I purchased them over the phone, and they provided shipping for free. This is hands done the best customer service I’ve received in awhile.

Well done Carla, at the Marine Drive TJ Kiddies store. Shopping for car seats can be overwhelming - the different brands and styles, whether they are convertible or not, how they install, and whether they fit the car you have. Carla gave us the space to do our own shopping, but also provided friendly, professional, and knowledgeable help where we needed. You can't get this at best buy, or online, or heck- even westcoast kids. You found yourself a gem hiring Carla. Thanks TJ Kiddies

Very helpful customer services. We found an item online on promo and they don’t have it in stock. However, they are willing to provide a Black Friday deal in store for the item with different colors for us to choose from. We appreciate for this kind of accommodations. We went to the store immediately and purchased another color with the same promo price online. We will highly recommend their service to people around us.

Nim, Karla, and the team were very helpful and went above and beyond. Karla even drove home to pick up her extra Bugaboo stroller adapters that would work with our older stroller and new car seat that we purchased from TJ's Kiddies.

Multiple times I have looked at the website of this store to see if something is in stock only to come in and be told that “our website is not updated and we are working on it. ” The store itself is nice, staff are sometimes helpful, other times it’s hard to figure out who’s an employee vs a customer. The website not being updated is incredibly irritating, my recommendation is to call in before you go just to double check. In the end I’ve been 3-4 times only to leave and buy whatever I was looking for off Amazon.

Impeccable service! I brought over a stroller for fixing and even though their service/repair department is temporarily closed they spent over an hour helping me fix my stroller. Great range of products too at reasonable prices. I will definitely come back again, such service is rare these days so much appreciated!

It was my first time shopping here and I thought it was excellent. The staff who helped me (Ben) was super helpful and answered all my questions. I did go into the store knowing what car seat I wanted. I was able to try the car seat out prior to purchase. It is very convenient there is free parking right in front of the store. I have been to other baby stores in the past and was very pleased with TJ's.

I ordered a holiday gift for my niece but the package was damaged when it was shipped to my home. The product I bought was placed in a plastic bag so it was not well protected. I am a little disappointed with the packaging. There should be more care and thought into this.

My wife and I visited the store today to buy convertible car seat and floor mats. Penny approached us and is extremely helpful to assist us on finding the most suitable car seat. She was very knowledgable and we were blown away by her excellent customer service. She referred another colleague, Tina, who assisted with the rest of our transactions. I can't thank Tina enough for helping us load the items onto our car in the pouring rain. Overall, my experience at the store is a 10/10!

Visited the SW Marine location and Ben helped us with our purchase. He was available the entire time to answer our questions and helped us pick a stroller and crib for our baby. Amazing customer service!

The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful! I visited the store to shop for a car seat, and because I was alone with my baby I didn't have an extra set of hands. They helped me bring the car seat out to my car to test how it fits before purchasing, and answered all of my questions about it. What a great customer experience!

We purchased most of our bigger ticket items from the Marine Drive location. Each time, the staff members who helped us were friendly and knowledgeable. They asked questions to determine our needs and provided relevant information to help us make our decision, from sleep sacks to car seats. Most recently I made some purchases over the phone and the items were delivered quickly. I would recommend this store for anything baby related.

Just went to TJ kiddies on SW marine and asked the cashier if they would price match WCK who is having 20% Instore today. The clerk asked another lady behind the counter (her name was Jen) if wck was having a 20% sale today. She scoffed and said no insinuating that we were lying. I’ve never had such a bad shopping experience. Even the cashier that was helping us apologized for her behavior. No wonder people flock to WCK. Never shopping here again!

***edit to add that nobody asked me to show proof of the sale before Jen rudely scoffed at us. We would have gladly shown a photo of the wck sign showing 20% Instore sale.

We've always had great service at Tj's and always come back especially for our bigger ticket items. Our most recent experience buying car seats was fantastic! Patricio was a huge help. It can be overwhelming picking out a car seat and Patricio knew everything when it came to car seats. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. I can't say enough about his fantastic customer service! Thank you!

Great deals on everything in store! Has lots of products that parents would need for their infant children. But most of all, the service, the service, the service! I was helped there by Chad and a few other ladies today. The level of service, product explanation, and professionalism by Chad is by far the best I’ve received from any other baby stores in the lower mainland. Even though they’re just about to close their Surrey location, I’ll be sure to visit their stores in Vancouver in the future because of the care displayed by all the staff members.

Edit: Had a chance to go to their SW Marine drive location in Vancouver and saw a few of the same staff that assisted me at their now closed Surrey location who were still just as helpful! The store carries a variety of the popular baby brands. A recent purchase that I absolutely love is their bblüv playmate! Picked up two of them with different designs and I find myself to be just lying down on them for an extended period of time cause they’re so comfy!

Chad was very courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. We were very happy with our shopping experience and our purchase.

It is such a shame that this place is closing. We just got a double stroller from there yesterday and I tell you, the customer service was excellent and the price was awesome. A double stroller for less than $200 was a super deal.

I reached out to their customer service and received very prompt and attentive responses from a lovely staff member, Nim. She basically organized everything I wanted to find, informed me about different options in stock at my local location and worked with the Victoria store to have everything ready for me upon my arrival to pick up. It was totally hassle free and I felt very well taken care of. Definitely love supporting local businesses and this is one I will choose to support again and again! Thanks Nim!

I bought a Clek Oobr high back car seat a day ago from this store and realized later the bottom seat doesn’t provide good leg support according to many reviews. I want to buy another brand Britax Grow with me but this store doesn’t carry. So I brought the unopened box to the store for refund and was told all car seats are final sale and store credit only. I didn’t know it was final sale and no one tell me when I bought it. The store claimed that they have a sign in the store for the final sale and I found today they do have a sign in the baby car seat area. I checked directly to the high back car seat section and didn’t see the sign when I bought it. I can only accept the store credit but feel very unhappy about it. Most of the stores I went will remind the customers for final sale during checkout. I think it will be better to remind the customers for expensive car seat final sale for better customer experience.

Don't trust the reviews, check for yourself. This place came higly recommended but we were very disapointed. The store is messy and the advice is non existent. We found the items we needed elsewhere at lower prices. Somethign is definetively going on with the posts here.

Hands down the best customer service in all the baby stores we've been. Everyone is helpful in answering all our queries. As first time parents to be, we have so many questions about a variety of products. Don't be put off by simple store front, the inside is a wide selection of baby items.

Price wise, I think it's the same as all the other stores. Mind you, we were looking at strollers (which I think has the same prices wherever you buy).

Very knowledgeable staff, unlike other stores where you get little guidance and practical advice, I found their staff give honest opinions and know a lot!

The staff are very helpful and know the products really well. The older lady, I don't know her name, was very helpful and considerate in helping me with various child car seats they have. Staffer Karl was great and allowed me to video his demo on the child car seat I bought. He answered all my questions well.

Lots of selection at this store and lots of hands on products/samples. You can take the car seats out to your car to try the fit which was great. Doesn't have the shine and polish of a downtown vancouver store but it has a lot of selection. Sales too.

My wife and I have a 19 month old child and have been loyal customers from even before our daughter was born. In preparation for our daughters birth, we did a lot of window shopping and browsing at TJ’s and Westcoast kids on Main St. Although Westcoast has some reasonably kind and courteous staff, they can’t compare to TJ’s team. Aside from the great service and knowledgeable product advice (especially from Nim!), their return policy is lightyears better than Westcoast! The team there is so nice and are always willing to help.

I’ve never had a bad experience at TJ’s and recommend this store to all my friends who are expecting. TJ’s is the best!

Great selection, very helpful sales people. There's a good mix of budget friendly and high end products and as long as you're talking to someone in their usual department they really know their stuff.

Helpful staff (thanks Vicky) and great selection of baby equipment/product. A little more expensive than the likes of Toys R Us on many items, but they will happily price match.

There is a serious amount of products in one location. You can really tell by looking at it from outside.
