Yago, you are a perfectionist, I loved the hair and beard cut. Hats off to you buddy keep going, I stay in Vernon and go for a haircut in kamloops every two weeks when I need to do a haircut. Really bad customer service (reception)

Dear Tommy Gun Leadership,

I have been visiting Tommy Gun's Kamloops branch for over 1 year for traditional haircut, for me and my son (we both used to spend $1000/year).

During the period, I noticed some changes in the front desk with at least 3-4 different associates with reasonable attendance and calls to confirm the appointment through the app.

I usually made my appointments through the App because it was the best method I was informed of since my first visit to that store, and in fact, it was working really well and in line with my busy schedule.

On the 3 previous visits, between May and July, I noticed that the receptionist has given priority to customers who are on the move (walk-in) instead of confirming the appointment through the App, as she had been doing in the past. The system was manipulated according to walk-in customers. For the second visit in a row, I could see an empty waiting room. The new receptionist does not know how to manage the service, generating frustration and stress for a simple haircut.

I had booked a new appointment yesterday (July 20,2023) and was unable to get my hair cut. The App showed me a wait time of between 20 and 30 minutes, which I was able to manage my time between work and driving to that branch. Upon arrival I was told my time was 40 minutes after my arrival because another customer who had come in had preference and priority. For me, as an Account Manager with over 25 years of experience in customer service and sales, what I was experiencing was unrealistic. I was able to talk to another lady about the App x Walk-in system issue (I think it was Manager or Regional Manager), and she was also trying to convince me that I was wrong, App is not accurate and walk-in customers have priority.

I have a very good relationship with one of the Barbers (the best one) in that store and location, and I had to apologize to him because I made the decision to leave that store and not use the services anymore, and I heard that other customers had the same problem with the app and frustrated experiences.

The staff are great, make it so easy for my young grandson to get his haircut without being afraid. He has been going there since he was 2 years old.

I walked in today at about 12: 30 no appointment. I was cheerfully greeted by a young lady. I asked her if I could get a shave in back. She told me a 5/10 minute wait. I was then greeted by a most enthusiastic Jason. He did a great job and kept the conversation going the whole visit. As short as my visit was the experience was a sheer Delight. Amazing customer service at the front counter, nice waiting seats, a complementary free drink after a hair cut, everyone was super nice and super professional, and hands down for the best barber I’ve ever gone to Jason, his skills are unmatched! Thanks for the amazing experience, easily a 10/10, keep it up!

Just had my haircut from Ariel it was a fantastic experience, she's positive and fun to talk to and she took a long time on my hair to make sure it was perfect!

Amazing experience! My barber Monte was really great! She listened closely while I explained what I wanted, and she nailed it! I do think the manager needs to install more lighting however, The Source in Aberdeen Mall has better lighting. Though that fact makes the great haircut all the more impressive.

An amazing experience. Moved into the area recently and needed a new stylist. Jason's an amazing stylist, very satisfied with my cut and experience. On the expensive side but you get what you pay for that is for sure.

Not sure if the Kamloops Tommy Guns is under new ownership / management but the customer service has gone downhill. I have been going to Tommy Guns for years and the staff has always been accommodating when booking 3 appointments for myself and son (s). Most recently I attempted to book us in and was told to use the app, the app does not support multiple bookings under a single account. I explained this to the person on the phone who really did not seem to want my business. Disappointing TG, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Lousy guy on the front desk! I left earlier to catch my appointment. When he called my set appointment is set at 11.51am and I only managed to hear that after reaching the shop as I was driving and I reached here 5 mins earlier! Wasted my trip for this!

CLEARLY its a very clean and welcoming warm atmosphere. Friendly staff who know and do their job right but SOME just DONT. You'll ask for a certain shave and they will do otherwise! I don't think someone can pay alot for a bad disappointing cut.

Some of the hair dressers at Tommy Guns just don't get the idea that men go there as a way to pamper themselves. Women get manicures and pedicures and other ways to pamper themselves, men get haircuts. I personally love getting the head massage with the hair wash but some of the hair dressers can't be bothered. If I wanted just a haircut I would go to First Choice haircutters and save some money.

I'm done going here. Too many haircuts that make me question the qualifications of the person doing the job. Simple requests are ignored and laughed off when called out. For example, twice now I have gone to Tommy guns right after showering so my hair is clean and I ask for no shampoo. Stupid me, I thought I was getting my hair rinsed but then she started shampooing and it was too late. It's not a difficult request to remember, but when I mentioned it her response was, "creature of habit". If they had just apologized it wouldn't be so bad, but the flippant uncaring attitude is gross and it's negatively affecting my scalp. So no thanks tommy guns, I'd rather go to first choice

Barbers are generally great but the booking service is a joke. Unless you book first thing in the morning, your booking will magically disappear from their wait list 90% of the time, making it an unreliable service.
