I was in Victoria with a friend who was in heart surgery at the Royal Jubilee and needed to find a place to walk the dog close by. This patk fit the bill. At the time I could also unleash and throw the ball for her as there were not a lot of people or dogs around.
Great spot with lots of room for soccer and other field sports. There are stands for spectators and a parking lot. This field is also equipped with lights for playing at night
Used to be a nice place to take kids now it's kind of iffy because of all the homeless there and camping and such now there isn't any tents there but there's still evidence of drug use in public washrooms so I don't recommend it you bringing kids into public washrooms there lots of space for dogs off leash to run around the park was in good condition clean for the circumstances although I did see drug paraphernalia in the washrooms there was none throughout the park which was nice to see
Recently was used as a (tent city) for homeless people in the area and with the pandemic in full swing has left the park unused and some fences still quarantine parts of park.the fences display signs saying "closed for maintenance" which is clear to see isn't being done at all.
This is a great place to walk your dog, there's a nice big field leading to a kids play park. There are two fenced-in baseball fields although I have no idea about sprots, so maybe it's not baseball, maybe it's lacrosse or soccer? There's 2 caged-in tennis courts too, or maybe it's for badminton? I guess you could do almost anything you want in there, maybe some yoga or that thing where you just roll and laugh! Sometimes ppl bring their dogs into there, I suppose it's easier to pick up the poo from a hard court surface vs the thick lawn field? Just dont roll and laugh into the poo and you'll be alright.
Washrooms when they are unlocked, are absolutely trashed or have homeless people conducting their "business". Always smells like pot and there are tents beside the field. One of the lights do not light up in the corner making it dark to play on at night
Nice little place to stop for a visit. Facilities were clean and people play with their dogs and wander around here. Not sure how else to describe a park. It's nice. Haha!
Partially fenced off-leash park. If you'd like walk around, don't go beyond the soccer court or children play area as that's not off-leash area. Also, don't get surprised to see people staying behind in bushes.
There is a soccer pitch, playground, baseball diamond, lacrosse box, and room for dogs to run and play, fenced in, central, and usually pretty quiet near the ends of the week, great place to catch some summer sun and lay in the grass. Water bottle station and bathrooms, here not sure on the schedule for the public restrooms, but likely a standard 8-5 or close in there, and could ge subject to peak seasons as well, unsure.
Right now there is Island Summer Games where there are 6-8 different sports happening all day sat and sun. There is food from the keg for sale and a beer garden! Perfect summer event no matter what sport you love! Oh and there is even hockey.floor hockey but EH!
Lived across from Topaz for over a year and loved it. It's a hub for the community to come and enjoy. The park is awesome, they have multiple fields for different sports, as well as a section for dogs to be off leash.
It's a great park they got the summer games coming up soon! It's just a fun place to take our dog she loves the park thank you everybody have a great summer ok PC's bless
There are playgrounds here. And sporting events. But I wish people would stop smoking cigarettes in parks entirely and this has been the worst park for people smoking cigarettes next to the playgrounds.
I grew up next to this place. Wide open fields and lots of events all year long! I went to the Celtic festival here last month. Bagpipes galore! I'm sure my granny was hanging out around me, watching over me and enjoying the soothing sounds. I'm sure she wanted me to have some haggis, but it's just not my thing
Unfortunately I didn't give 5 stars because of the women's bathroom. It was around 7 pm, Saturday and someone shot up in there. Syringe wrappers, alcohol wipe wrappers, blue rubber band to wrap around your arm? Were left in the handicapped bathroom stall. It was disgusting.
