I was looking for a Betta fish and they had one in stock and one left for a reasonable price! Such caring staff and a nice store!

Very knowledgeable and helpful, and took the time to explain questions I had about fish and plants for aquariums. Thank you!

We were redirected here from bosleys when their baths were getting some maintenance done on them. To our surprise, we actually like total pet better! There's a larger selection, it doesn't seem as. Posh? , and it's a larger store (the dogs can't really see the front door which helps keep them from getting excited every single time someone comes in the door.)
The staff is really kind and helpful. The manager seems like a sweetheart. It seems like a great place to work, honestly.
The store is organized and clean.
They have a great selection of pet clothing and its reasonably priced!
I own chinchillas and it's the first place I've seen have multiple brands of chinchilla food (unfortunately still all only 1 kg bags but I'll take the little wins)
All in all, it's a bit more out of the way but I will continue going here because it's been a joy. The dog likes it too!

First off I would like to thank the staff at Total Pet in Penticton for being the most compassionate and incredible sales associates I have ever encountered. They have once again gone above and beyond to provide the best experience a person could ask for when looking for a new pet. High fives all around to this store my gratitude goes beyond words and I would recommend Total Pet as an amazing place to shop.

I went in to purchase something for my friend's GS. The staff were extremely knowledgable & helpful. They practice gold standard customer service, something that's rare these days. I totally recommend this establishment!

I was just in to grab dog food and I left because of how the manager Miranda was speaking to the young man in training. I would be furious if someone talked to my child this way! Completely rude and condescending! I will not be back and that woman needs to have her power stripped from her. Shameful behaviour from an adult! If my 9yr old son wasn’t with me I would have lost my darn mind on you! Just gross!

2 clerk's at the counter. Neither one said hello. I asked were the cat harnesses were. Response was "over there". No one else was in the store. It took me quite awhile to find the litter. When I paid for the box of litter I told the cashier I was a senior. She told me that was yesterday. No offer to help take the box of litter to my car No words of thanks for coming in etc. I'm will never go back.
However, congrats on finding people to work at your store. A lot of people are looking for people that are willing to work!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They where very supportive when I came in with my dog. Very good experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Alexis. What an absolutely beautiful human. Went in to wash my 7 month old puppy a little bit before she had to clean the bathtubs and she was helpful in everything I asked while I was washing. 10/10 customer service will definitely be back just for her!

Bought some fish from here a week. Was not told in advance there is no return policy for fish which I thought should have been made clear before hand. The fish did not work out in my tank and I only wanted to return in exchange for different fish. Spoke to the manager on the phone who was very rude. I liked this place but will not be going back as I am really upset with the way she spoke to me.

Primal Raw 3 lb bag $20 more here than most places. Was shocked.very expensive, please price check your items so you are not overpaying.

Staff seem nice but very disappointed that nothing for horses now at all. Some things seem expensive - like healthy dog treats. But store looks fairly well organized and they help you fairly quickly. Before you had to hunt around calling and calling for anyone in the store - like no one was even there sometimes.
Also though they used to deliver when I was sick or without a car as I am only six blocks away and paid first with a credit card over the phone. They do not offer this now. That is a huge disappointment!
