Our recent experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The sushi rolls were poorly prepared, and despite requesting extra ginger, it was not provided, even after the waitress agreed to bring it to our table. When I expressed my concerns to the waitress, she did not offer an apology. I then requested to speak to the restaurant manager, and unfortunately, encountered unprofessional behavior from him, including the use of inappropriate language. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our unfortunate experience.
Not great I'm afraid - friendly and all but not all that comfortable - can't help that don't have to be that special as rely on non-repeat custom from tourists.
If you are in Tofino bc, this is the place to be to have the most amazing sushi. We came in a group of 7 people and the food came in time and it was delicious. I’m defending coming back again, friendly service we left welcome.
Awesome dinner, great atmosphere and fabulous staff. They have one of the best patios in town and the food is reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our meal here.
Well that was interesting. Showed up for a reservation with 12 friends.more showed up with zero expectations to fit with us.the owner completely flipped out throwing his arms in the air and swearing.he was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL in dealing with too many customers showing up. Maybe a "Thanks for showing up, but I'm not sure we can fit you in" would have been sufficient. Instead there was inappropriate behavior from a professional business owner. Our waitress however was amazing. Needless to say our entire party left right away.
Food was ok but the service is awful! Waitresses didn't care about customers at all, kept asking for one thing multiple times and being ignored. Very cool view, but they definitely need to work on customer service.
While I enjoyed the food, service, and VIEW, I didn't feel the overall cost and experience reflected the value. Our meals were expensive for what they were and the menu selection wasn't great.
The 15% auto-gratuity for pick up seemed a bit excessive (especially when the prices were already a tad high), but the food was really quite delicious. And I get that they are trying to do the right thing for their staff. We had gyoza to start which were perfectly crispy. The sushi rolls were absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend the smiling Buddha and the Tempura Yam rolls. Both had great texture and flavour. All the food was super fresh and made with care.
Old rude grumpy guy (probably the owner) yelling because we try to find a table as the waitress said and by mistake I ended to the hostal which it was empty. If they do not want people walking around due to the COVID19, they should find the table to the clients. Obviously, if someone has COVID19 you will get it. Does not matter what because they do not obligate people to use mask inside until the client is a seat. Also, the staff does not use mask, so you can easily get the virus because they talk you without respect the 2 meters distance. Even to access to the balcony tables there is less than a meter space to go through. The food was ok and the waitress are friendly.
Terrible. Rude staff, the owner was a grumpy old man making snarky comments to customers. Food took forever and they forgot things that had to be taken off of our bill because we got tired of waiting. Seriously, find somewhere else to eat. Also, zero following of safety protocols put in place due to covid. Zero.
Got sick after eating here. The portions were also so small for the price. Gave two stars because of the view on the patio and we had the sweetest server.
