Horrible staff. “chrissy” has the professionalism of a scorpion. Her “Special needs” kid was coughing and spitting on me, just as the masks disappeared from the Pandemic, and I told him to at least cover his mouth. She got upset over that. She said I “Walked out” on a small bar tab (that of course was charged to my room anyways, as they knew me then). Judy, the manager at that time, spoke with me, and she had a one-sided story from Chrissy.
Kevin (supposedly owner) didn’t care that I spent over $16000, to their place in a few years. Restaurant staff are awesome! Don’t stay here though! Horrible! I made the mistake of saying something nice 3 years ago, and can’t take that back.

I decided to make an unplanned stop and found this place. It seemed to be the better of the choices I had. Check in was super slow, as well as check out. The clerk put a $200 'security deposit' for a room that cost $130. I then found a nominal charge on my credit card of $2.77 even though I paid through Expedia. When I called back the clerk was rude and actually hung up on me. I called back as I was still asking questions but she told me I was laughing and being rude, what? I told her I wasn't being rude, then, she said she wasn't going to 'argue with me'. What the heck is wrong with this person or this hotel. From the excessive security deposit to the slow clerks to the extra charge of $2.77 I'd suggest another place if you can find one. For the $130, the room was clean. The customer service was poor.

Pictures online are deceiving. I’m not sure why I was put into a “assisted handicapped” room. I’m travelling long distances so I picked this hotel over sandman for comfort as I checked the reviews first. But when I got into my room I found that the shower had been modified and totally in functioning. The shower head was so much full of calcium the stream of water barely passed through. There was so much water on the floor after my 2 minute shower because there was no door, that I ended up having to put all my towels on the floor to mop it up. After a good 20 hour drive the last thing I wanted to do was add on more stress. I was exhausted and felt that the bed was pretty springy, noisy uncomfortable as well. Not sure why I picked this place. Won’t return.

Pleasantly surprised by this nice, homey hotel and restaurant. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Trudy at the front desk. Rooms were very clean and the hotel was really quiet, unlike the sandman or Ramada which were packed with hockey teams. There are also washing machines on each floor.

Very rude grunt desk lady. Our rooms were messed up and we got blamed for the mistake on their end. Don’t recommend

I've been staying semi regularly at this hotel since 2014.
The staff are prompt, courteous, competent and polite. Available 24 hours a day.
The location is right in downtown Quesnel, walking distance to just about anything you'd like to see in the core.
Rooms are always clean, tons of pillows and the beds are great to sleep on. Even the weird chair that every hotel room has is firm but comfortable.
Historically, vehicle break-ins have been an ongoing issue during the summer. The cameras don't save your valuables while you sleep, so bring your expensive stuff inside, and try to park closer to the main entrance.
When the Rocky Mountaineer train comes through every couple of weeks, the hotel is typically booked right up, so make sure you call ahead.
The carpets are dated as hell, but who cares.
A great recommendation in my book.

We stayed in the handicap room which is at the total opposite end of the hotel and the elevator. Not much seating in the room to watch tv unless you lay in bed. Also the microwave and water and ice are also at the other of the hotel. Not convenient for someone that uses a wheelchair or is handicaped. The staff did their best but I would not stay there again.
