I've gone twice now. It's a very busy place to visit. It's an easy walk down to the trains. You cross a cool suspension bridge. The trains are neat. I think it would be super cool if people didn't try spray painting over some of the nicer artwork.

There is a small dirt parking lot off the highway that you can get off at to hike to train wreck. Go right, and you will see a spray painted sign which means you going the right way, don't follow the highway when you leave your car. The hike to train wreck is good, a bit challenging if you have a hard time with hiking but overall not bad. Just follow the path until you get to the train tracks and then you can either follow the tracks a bit to get to train wreck of keep following the path. Takes about 30min from the highway to get to I would say.

The train wrecks are cool, the graffiti adds a nice touch, just don't be that person who does profanity on everything please, it takes away from people's art. There is also a small bridge near the wreck to see as well.

Cool place, when you go back to your car take the path that is next to the river before the bridge, you will be able to see some cool views.

There are 2 ways to reac here. One is short 10 min walk but hard trek to see this train wreck. And other is 25 mins but easy trek. Nothing much to see. But good gor photos.

Actually dramatic, but very well laid out hiking trail with parking and impressive suspension bridge. Definitely worth a visit!

Great hike. Took us about 20 mins to get to the train wreck and 20 mins back. Mainly down hill, quite rocky. Overall great experience. Waterfall nearby as well to explore.

Parking was available and not too much of a rush.

Such a beautiful hike. Super easy. Did take a little effort to get down to see the river rushing but completely worth it.

It was quite the hike to get there but it was awesome and worth it! Hike a little further to get to the suspension bridge which was also a beautiful view. Great idea for an outing.

The train wreck hike is a stroller friendly, short hike. We went with our toddler who loved the hike. The train wrecks are painted with vibrant colours with its history. The suspension bridge is spacious and secure. The fresh water underneath is a beautiful blue with beautiful scenery around, a great picture spot. Must go if you are looking for something scenic, and short.

Great little 1-1.5 H round trip family hike in the summer when parking on the lot on Highway 99. TWO ROUTES- see below.

3 kids under 8 managed without issue, even with two of the wearing sandals (but not recommended in anything expect perfect weather). Take water if its hot out. Its not a hike/path where you need to pack a meal and snack.

Note- there are TWO routes to the train. Parking lot right on Highway 99 leads to the longer route and requires a bit of scrambling. Entrance to the trail from this parking at the south end of the lot.

Using this route you will end up going over a live/active rail road track (which may be confusing to some) and then encounter the set of 2 train cars. The other 5 cars are a bit down the way from those 2. Using this route crossing the suspension bridge over the river is just for the experience rather than necessity.

Easy trail thats perfect for a family with little kids, with lots to see along the way; from view of a wavering river to suspension bridge just before the train wreck.

Any kid will be intrigued by the train wrecks with colourful graffiti.

Runners are sufficient, no real need for a proper hiking shoes.

We stopped on our way home from whistler. Not a long or difficult trail (maybe an hour in total). The bridge over the water was a nice suprise but moved a lot when crossing. Well traveled path and dog friendly.

Google directions were off didn't really get us to the start off trail and parking. Trail was the most interesting trail we've been on.

Can be a simple and easy hike or can adventure around. It's really cool to see something unique out in the forest. Also lots of great river views if you look around a little

This was a fun experience. A short, easy hike with no obstacles or steep hills led over a beautiful suspension bridge overlooking a river, which ended at 5 abandoned box cars. The train was lots of fun to explore: the graffiti all over the box cars made a beautiful contrast again the greens and browns of the surrounding forest. I would recommend this attraction for all ages, fun for kids to explore, and fun for adults to take pictures of. Come check it out!

What an extraordinary hiking trail! We loved it! We all love the greenery you get when you go hiking, but this trail adds in large pops of color that meet the eye! Exploring the train wreckage itself is fascinating, but on top of that you also get to explore the work of the artist that have made this hike into a fun one! A must do- in my eyes!

Definitely recommend the hike to come here. It's amazing to see the old train carriages just abandoned in the woods, and how colourful they now are. One of the carriages has a ladder attached to it so you can also climb on top. There's also a cool suspension bridge to walk across to get to the site.

A neat experience seeing the train wreck spread out in the forest. Each of the different carts have graffiti covering them while they sit nestled in the foliage. Not a hard hike to get to the wreck and worth a visit. Makes for some great pictures. Suspension bridge with rushing water beneath is also a short distance away.

Very nice short easy hike to this unique sight. The hike includes a wonderful suspension bridge over a beautiful rushing river. The trail is very well maintained, great outing for family's with little kids.

Great place to explore with beautiful river and forest scenery. Use the Bayly car park on Jane Lake Road and then follow the trail signs.
