Trattoria Park Royal

We went for brunch today and my daughter and I had the Trattoria breakfast. It was delicious and we both agreed that the bacon was the best we've ever had. Great flavour and perfectly cooked. Our server Chris was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

Staff took care of me every single minute, water, drinks, food, everything on time, kind and warm. Actually it will be nice they can use a badge, with their name, it would be could to call them by their names. Just a idea. Thanks again foe your service.

I had an amazing brunch experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back for more food adventures!

Didn't like the lack of choices of variety. Personally I found less things I was excited to try based on the description of the items.

I was so pleased with our experience at Trattoria - Park Royal.
I came in to the restaurant at 2 pm to ask for a reservation that night at 7: 30 for 8 people. I was greeted by Michael who said “no problem” - he would make it happen!
Our party arrived (ages 23 to 87) and everyone was thrilled with the food and the service. Michael even came up to check on us throughout the evening.
Thank you so so much to all the staff for a wonderful evening.
BTW - we came with the same group 4 years ago and had the exact same experience! I won’t wait another 4 years to return:)

All the food was cold, the patio was cold, the service was really slow amd confused. I do not recommend to come here. Rather go to the nearest McDonald's.

The staff were very welcoming. Our server, Michelle, was so pleasant and accommodating. She had a great personality. The owner was involved with service, too. All the staff were helping each other. The food was good and the service was even better.

This restaurant is not very professional. The server forgot our table until we asked the lady at the door where is our server (it is like 20 mins after we came in). Because he is at the table that came after us. Then we realized that there is only 1 server for all 7 or 8 tables. They have a lot of staffs in the restaurant but only him taking orders and brings drinks to all the customers. Our family are only ordering two food items and trying to have a light lunch, but it took us more than 1 hour to have such lunch. When we tried to get someone to our table, all the staffs there avoided us not sure if they were too busy or simply don't want to serve us. I don't usually give 1 stars to any business, but this one is really making me uncomfortable. Not to mention their spaghetti is really really salty, both myself and my son had to keep drinking juice after each bite. Their meatballs are really good honestly. After the bill when we leave the door, nobody really care, no one says goodbye or anything. All I heard is "omg, you are here again, SO nice to see you. " to another table.

We had a great meal from start to finish. Our server Cory was prompt, knowledgeable and super friendly.
The appy platter had a little of everything and it was all great. Shared a pasta platter that gave us a great taste of all they had to offer.
Also the owner and the manager both stopped by to check on us (very professional).
Highly recommend.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting from a little Italian restaurant. The vibe was incredible and the food was delicious. But nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to how incredible the service was. As packed as The restaurant was, we had 2-3 waitresses/manager at our table checking on us and taking our orders.
If you’re ever there try the desert!

One of my favourite places to eat and hang out. The staff are always 5 star especially Kirsti and the owner Micho is an amazing host always making our visit feel like we are at home. Food some of the best in the city and really not far from downtown and worth it every time I go. They never disappoint, can not wait to return:)

I have visited this restaurant many times. The service is excellent and the servers very friendly and welcoming. The food is always delicious and well presented. Their Happy hour is a very good deal
and their house wine is the best I have ever tasted! Kudos to Michael and all his staff!

Alfredo pasta was very good but place has major issues I'd rather not get into. Best avoided.

Bum down to 3 cuz of inconsistent closing times. They would close at 8pm on some days or bit later. There have been a few times our family would like to have dinner at the restaurant but then its close.

Would recommend calling the place asking for what time they close before dining for dinner (Everytime)

I had the beef carpaccio, bread with burrata and prosciutto, signature pasta platter, and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was average. The appetizers were very delicious! I really enjoyed the burrata. The pasta platter was a great way to try various kinds of pastas. The service was great.

Highly recommend this place! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner when making a reservation for a group of people for a birthday surprise dinner. He was super friendly and accommodating! The staff and the servers were amazing, super nice and professional. The food and drinks were great and can't say enough about the whole experience.

The quality of food is not the same anymore.pizza is too dry, it tastes more like a flatbread.we loved beef carpaccio with truffle oil but there’s no truffle oil in it anymore so probably that’s the last time we visited Trattoria.

Liked the place and environment. Only point would be to add more options/items in the lunch menu.

Even though They say they accept online orders through doordash, they canceled my order, (understandable if they are super busy at the moment) but I wish they didn’t take too long to cancel my order So I could’ve ordered food from somewhere else.

Pictured here is what a $49 delivery order for one gets you! $49 for one person. I mean two of us could dine out for $49.
I have dined in Trattoria restaurant more times than I can count and have always thoroughly enjoyed it but this delivery order just really missed the mark majorly. Soggy bread and 4 pieces of pasta for $49.unsatisfactory.

I got the prosciutto pizza and it was so good yall.like… an amazing pizza.and our server reiko was super nice and attentive.get the prosciutto pizza and put some hot sauce on it and u will be shocked at what ur eating cuz it’s so good.the owner also talked to us and was super cool.

Ordered an antipasto for appetizer for the family - and the presentation was incredible! Very much worth it even if you come just for wine and appys.

Good food, warm welcome, clean. Our server was a little off, quiet spoken and we had to repeat ourselves a few times.

Amazing service by all of the waitresses. We were served celebratory glasses of champagne for our anniversary. The food was good. Highly recommend beef carpaccio for the appetizer and pasta platter to try variety of pastas. Good ambience as well!

I love their pizza! They are great for both dine or to order. The platters are also a great option for groups wanting something to share.

Shocking example of customer service. Our server constantly pushed us to order more even though we had said we were just having drinks and some nibbles; then we saw her storm out the fire escape and slam the door shut.

You would think management would apologise, nope just a sarcastic quip and then we were practically ignored for the rest of our time here.

I love this place! The staff are amazing as the food is great! Dave was my server, fast funny & empathetic, he came to my rescue when I needed it at the end of a long crazy trip. Can't wait to go back.

Trattoria and it’s great staff is consistently memorable in the best possible way! Michael, who does a brilliant job managing the restaurant is professional, thoughtful, efficient and a thoroughly welcoming host. This place has excellent value, excellent food and an inviting atmosphere.

I am Italian and I tried pizza and tiramisu. The pizza was really good and the tiramisu was perfect. I am from the city were tiramisu was invented, and here they use the original receipt and the result is "wow"! I really appreciate also their hospitality. Very nice staff! My wife comes from a family that owns an important restaurant in Italy since many generations and she agrees with me on the food and services and everything! We will come back again!

I loved this spot but I walked in to have lunch and was greeted with a hostess tying to blast my forehead with a laser thermometer. No thank you I'll never be back.

Delicious as always. Lovely and cool on the outside patio and even though it was busy my food came fast and cooked perfectly I appreciated the kind and helpful staff and I will definitely be back again.

We loved our lunch at Trattoria! The portions were quite large and the food was delicious! They offer some a decent amount of Gluten free options and have a happy hour menu with pretty good deals.

Very good food, but not upfront with cost. Misleading prices on menu. The waitress suggested bread but did not say it is $6.95, while all other Italian restaurants give free bread.

WORST PLACE EVER! Waiter yelled at my wife over a four dollar 'protein' extra that was never order. Management and concierge would not do anything about it, finally the manager was very generous to 'waive' the $4

Come to Trattoria if you want to be overcharged, and yelled at if you complain!

Went to dinner with two of my friends here tonight. First time eating here and first time at a restaurant since last year.
Our server was amazing! Quick to greet us and quick to get our drink orders.
I do not remember what my drink was called. It was one of the virgin drinks. Very sweet and delicious. For my main, I had the Linguini Carbonara.oh it was so delicious! The best carbonara I have had at a restaurant. For dessert, the Italian doughnuts. Absolutely delicious! If you want a delicious pasta, amazing service, covid safe eating, and a lovely atmosphere, I cannot recommend this one enough

Had a wonderful time here and I'm sure you'll have the same. We had the tenderloin and the short rib. The steak was cooked perfectly, the short rib was tender and flavourful, and the risotto with the rib was perfect. The server, Tiffany, was attentive and helpful (made our dinner a whole lot more entertaining too!). I would definitely recommend you come over whether it's for a quick lunch or, like us, a great dinner.

Went there on Father's Day and had a great time. I ordered the veal and my wife had a pizza, both dishes were outstanding and tasted delicious, very reasonably priced and the portions are huge. Our server Chris was very nice and responsive. All staff up to the owner were welcoming and doing their best to ensure we enjoy our time and meals.

Logan and Micheal were the absolute best! The quality and quantity is everything you want in a happy hour. The service is everything more! 1000 recommend, thank you for making us feel so welcome. The food is amaZing and so is the environment

I came in a couple days ago and I’ve been here with my sister a couple of times and loved the food and the staff but the other day, when I came in, a lady that I had never seen before was clearly frowning at the customers and she dropped off our food and didn’t offer any parmesan or pepper like they always usually do. I had to ask a server a couple minutes later as our food got colder. I asked a server who she was and was told it was the manager. I was surprised to find out that a manager who clearly can’t do her job was at the front of house frowning at all the customers. Very unfortunate.

Great service. Pizza was really good. Some of the pastas were better than others but overall a good spot.

Well my wife phoned down to find out if they were open for dine in. She was told yes and so due to bad traffic it toook us an hour and half to get there, it is normally a 10 minute drive. We were asked if we had reservation? We said no. When we called no one suggested we needed one. We were told the wait would be over an hour. We left and will not go back.

Great atmosphere, friendly service. The have big barrels and wine bottle decorations. Standard food overall. A good choice for when shopping at Park Royal. The beef carpaccio was most outstanding, the fried beignets on the other hand was a bit disappointing. Could have used a bit more sauce or ice cream even, felt really dry. The lamb shank was good, and fall off the bone, but could use a bit more spice and flavour.

The servers and host were all very attentive, but the tables were a bit tight to each other (before covid). Overall was a good experience and will be returning again.

Happy hour is a great deal! Food is fantastic. Service is not always good but the price is right. Servers can sometimes leave you sitting for long periods without paying attention to you. It’s too bad.

Spent a very pleasant birthday evening dinner with my BF. The food was very good as usual, and came to the table quickly for a restaurant that was full. At the end of our evening, the waitress packed the food that we could not finish, and offers us the dessert menu. We were so full from the large portions that we declined dessert. The hostess at the front desk overheard the conversation, she came to check and see if we were pleased with our food. We reassured her that everything was delicious, and that we were just to full to eat anymore. The hostess came back a short time later and informed us that she had taken care of my glass of wine, and my BF’s ice tea. As well she sent us home with the dessert we had declined. All unexpected, but very appreciated. Big shout out to the staff for all their hard work tonight, keep up the great job!

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten here. Had many disappointing meals and just quit. Tried it again tonight and it was great. Pasta was perfect. Had carbonara and a pizza with mushrooms, leeks and bacon. So good.

Very disappointing dining experience.

We had a dinner here two days ago. I ordered Cannelloni. I was unpleasantly surprised to find large pieces of cartilages, bones, and other meat by-products in my turkey. As soon as I finished my meal, I got very sick with bad stomach cramps, diarrhea, snd sever nausea. I suspect food poisoning due to poor quality of meat.

I tried contacting the restaurant yesterday to see whether there were more people affected on that day (I am breastfeeding and I was scared I could pass whatever was making me sick to my baby through breastmilk) but nobody bothered to reply.

Considering the fact that this place is not cheap, I do not recommend dining here.

Food Poisoning: (

I wanted to let you know that my friend and I came here for happy hour on Jan 4 at 3pm and got food poisoning.

It was both our first meal other than coffee earlier in the morning. We had sangria, calamari and each a pizza. We came home and instantly I got a stomach ache but his was more severe chills and pain.

This is concerns me and should inspect what’s going on in your kitchen or food handling processes.

Our first time here and quite disappointed. However the server was extremely polite during the meal.

I wouldn't recommend. This review is based solely on the food and value as we got take out. The beet salad was decent and almost got me to leave 2 stars. The burrata and prosciutto appy had very little cheese. It had a decent amount of prosciutto but I wasn't expecting to pay $21 for a plate of mostly prosciutto. The biggest problem was the Pappardelle Al Filleto. It wasn't good. It seriously reminded me of being a bachelor and making beef stroganoff with hamburger helper. Unfortunately when I'm paying $27.45 for a small to medium serving of pasta I expect it to be pretty amazing. Not only was it not amazing it was below average. If the food was grossly overpriced for the quality and flavour that was delivered which is why I give this a 1 star.

I like the food it’s okay and was excited to see they added their menu to skip the dishes but then realized that they increased all of their prices for ordering in. Just can’t bring myself to order when they are charging a delivery fee and then punishing us with increased food costs just for taking out. Feels dishonest. No thank you. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Pleasantly surprised!

I hadn't been here before but after a very quick wait we were seated for the $13 Tuesday promotion.

There's a good selection of pasta and pizzas but if you want quantity go for the meatballs. All the food was good and they offered a complimentary meatball each as an appetizer. A bit unusual, but hey, it was good!

Service was friendly and chatty. Definitely a place suitable for families. The manager and server definitely made this a good experience.

There is plenty of parking at Park Royal if you don't hit peak times.

We made reservation for four person for our marriage anniversary. We ordered drinks and starter and waited and waited for drinks. We gave reminder, finished our starter and still waited and again reminded. When we were just about to start main course we got our drinks. It was not served actually when It should have been.
When we ordered pizza we asked for chilli flakes and oil but we never got it. Not once we were asked if everything was okay.

Later the server told my husband “dessert is on us. Order anything”
She told this later to my daughter too and when we ordered she came to us and told “oh just one, is that okay?
Obviously!
She could have been it crisp and clear that one dessert is on us why after we ordered then only she had to come and tell that.

Sorry but that is not at all professional behaviour. Our special occasion was turned into a bad experience and our mood was spoiled.

It seem too intimidating/fancy for a normal person but it is quite friendly and the service is quite attentive. Order there signature spaghetti and meatballs it was all delicious except when I had there meatballs by them selves; I found It a bit bland, they got me new ones, apologized, and after I finished they nullified the meal! (Quite honestly blown away) paid for just the drink I ordered and left them happy!

Definitely would want to go there again when I get the chance!
