Travelodge by Wyndham Salmon Arm

I’d give 5 stars, however our room was a tad bit hot. But it should be noted:
Despite that super minor inconvenience, everything else was very good. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, the hot tub was clean and nice, and the continental breakfast was lights out good for a serve yourself breakfast. I’m a bit of a coffee snob, but for hotel coffee I was happy to not have completely burnt coffee (had good taste). Would I come back? Yes. Do I think it’s worth $115 a night? Yes.

It’s a convenient, lower cost Motel. You get what you pay for.
Customer service & housekeeping could both use some improvement.

Stay at room 116 for one night while driving from Banff back to Vancouver. The room is spacious, fairly standard and generally clean. The complementary breakfast is your usual stuff, highlight being the waffle machine. The hotel has a pool and hot tub although we didn't use them. There is a Vietnamese Pho place right next to the hotel, and a Walmart close by.
The outside of our room was being renovated when we stayed, but it didn't affect us in the evening. The bathroom sink drains very slowly.

As per another post, yes the walls are thin.but still comfortable for a one night layover.

We got a room when we got turned back from a road closed by forest fires. After having to pay double because we didnt have a credit card, we get into our room to find it trashed. Alcohol cans and sticky stuff and chips on everything. When we complained we were simply told "Bring the keys back. I'll refund your money. " No offer to clean it. Since we were stranded and couldn't afford any other available accomodations, we slept in the car.

A quick stop stay along our way. It was perfect, just off the highway. The beds were clean. The motel is older and the flooring was stained-up. The kids had fun swimming in the pool.

We booked a room with our dog. When we got there they wouldn't allow us in the top floor and said they weren't for dogs. So we had to deal with noise from people from above. The room wasn't that clean, and definitely poor quality Inside the Hotel room. This cost way too much money to stay here and I wish I could get some money back

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights in July. While the rooms are small and basic, we were comfortable. The air conditioner seemed newish and worked well in the +30 heat. They did not charge us extra for the cot for my 3rd child. Breakfast is basic, but all of us enjoyed it. The pool was clean and refreshing, the hot tub relaxing. Staff was friendly and responded quickly to any of our requests. A bit outside of town, but not super inconvenient. Would stay here again.

It was an interesting overnight stay. First impression was it looked run down compared to the online pics. Definitely showing its age.
A bunch of people smoking right at their doors. Obviously not keeping the posted distance from others.
Room has AC. It was on full blast the whole time. And being in the low 30's outside it was still cooler outside than in the room. Very hot room.
The floors were nasty dirty. Turned the bottom my feet black. And only had my socks off briefly. Like a fine black soot. Got in the shower and noticed black coming from my feet. Left the crocs gross too. Had to scrub them clean. Overall not the cleanest room.
The bathroom door was a disaster! Both inside and outside as well as the trim was sticky. Seemed to be coated in a shiny varnish that never dried. After having a shower the humidity made it worse. Not much room so hard to not touch the door. But I did and got brown paint or varnish all over my hand and fingers.
Only real positive was the bed was comfy. But too hot to really enjoy it. I found it a lil bit expensive for what it was overall. We skipped the breakfast and just left first thing. And after reading other reviews we didn't miss out.
Could've been a better stay if the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms were properly done. For the money we forked out its not much to ask for.

I gave our experience here a 4 rating for a 2 star hotel. It is a 2 star so don’t expect anything better. We had two queen beds which were really quite good. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Everything worked. The temperature out side was +34 so the AC had to work hard to cool the room and them keep it cool enough to sleep. It ran all night. Continental breakfast is minimal, 3 cold cereals, yogurt, apples, coffee, OJ, muffins, waffle maker, 2 toasters, and white & brown bread. The breakfast room is small and crowded. The pool is cold but clean and the Hot Tub works. We had limited interaction with the staff but what we had was OK. Have stayed here several times. Good access to highway. No really good restaurants in close proximity. Reasonably priced for Salmon Arm.

Rooms fine, clean. Bring coins cos otherwise no snack machine and they won't give you coins at reception either. Breakfast is a bit sad but hey.jumbo kuffons cut into quarters, your typical waffles maker, cereal, yogurt coffee tea. Pools fine jacuzzi ok nothing too exciting. It's not in town so not much walkable to except walmart and dollermama and the timmys

Clean rooms - pool could use update - if you are on the ground floor hope upstairs guests are quiet - i had to request another room as people above me were very loud and kept me up until 1am

Dishonest is the descriptive word which comes to mind as I sort through my experience at this MOTEL. If a person feel the need to lie in order to gain the upper hand, it’s total dishonesty. Maybe it wasn’t my place to raise my voice after my stuff was dumped in the garbage, (result from front desk error on checkout). These “children” instead of acknowledging that there may have been a misunderstanding, decided to lie to my face and “my” company to cover up their conduct. Conduct which resulted in them not returning all my belongings (stealing), which they claimed they threw out. To top it off the conditions were just bearable; from the parking lot to the rooms, the so-called continental breakfast and the stink of smoking every hour on the premises. I would’ve not stayed there had I have another choice as I was in Salmon Arm for business purposes.

Best economy hotel near the highways. Good and nice clean room. Indoor heated pool and breakfast is also good. Enjoyed the stay on a snowy night. Walmart is also at walking distance

Price has gone up over the years but the motel hasn't gotten less trashy. Staff was unhelpful and downright apathetic in resolving an issue with a guy chainsmoking outside of our room while I was pregnant.

Staff were nice, very helpful.
Rooms are decent, comfy beds and pillows.
The pool is great with fantastic views of Mt. Ida. Especially nice in the winter.
A real bonus of this place is that it is right next door to Pho-Ly Vietnamese restaurant.and the Pho-Ly Vietnamese restaurant is freakin awesome!

Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast, good price, fairly clean. The beds were adequate. The shower was good. Hairdryer was broken. We changed the lightbulb in the bathroom ourselves. The front desk made a courtesy call, and I told them the light was out in the bathroom. They said, "Do you want me to look at the light? " It felt awkward, so we changed it. Breakfast room had no windows, and dirty/scuffed walls. Coffee was good, but I wish they had oat milk or almond milk.
My partner and his son enjoyed the pool. They said the hot tub was really hot.
The rating is mostly in comparison to other hotels which would cost a lot more for what they give.

Super nice staff was able to get a room at last minute coming from edmonton alberta great location walking distance to surrounding amenities

The hotel wasn't too clean especially the pool and hot tub in particular
The hot tub had some dirty film all inside the hot tub and the pool was cold when they advertised it as heated

If you want to have a room with a windows,
You need to pay extra,
There’s no option. This is the worst place ever.

Lady at the front was excellent at her job. Had room to park my truck and trailer. Room had everything I needed. Rate was very affordable. Pool and hot tub were lovely!
