Travelodge by Wyndham Victoria Airport Sidney

Really nice convenient hotel with friendly staff and high quality room + bedroom. Free breakfast in the morning was simple and did the job great. Nice healthy and tasty variety. Would definitely happily stay here again if I have a very early/late flight from Victoria.

Very friendly and welcoming hotel staff. Good continental breakfast options with fresh waffles. The parking and driving access was tricky due the building layout and other businesses.
Overall a very good stay. Close to Sidney city centre, ferries and Victoria International Airport. Some traffic noise noted near the main roads, otherwise quiet property.

Great hotel with complimentary breakfast for when you are flying! The shuttle is quick and easy and it it exactly what you need in a hotel.

Room very dated. Terribly hot in the room. Had the a/c turned down to 61 and it barely brought the temp below 80. Mentioned the issue to front desk staff and they said there was nothing they could do. Would be a last option if I were to be staying in Sidney again.

Clean place with a pool. Breakfast is complementary and is conveniently located beside the airport, highway 17, and downtown Sydney.

The bed was amazing, very clean room.

A couple of weeks ago I put a review on Trip Advisor. Since I returned here 10 days ago, I have nothing to say but par excellence. All the staff are amazing and very accommodating in more ways that staff at some major hotels are.

This includes everyone from the front desk, the breakfast room ladies, the cleaners and the mechanic who fixed the issue immediately. Just everyone is wonderful.

I was placed in a room that overly compensated for my disabilities. Having this amazing large room with a walk in shower made everything much easier for me.

It is a quiet hotel and the beds are very comfortable. Everything is sparkling clean.

I am here as an insurance thing for my flooded apartment. The date I can return kept getting pushed back and they always willing to extend my stay.

It has been a very stressful time and staying here has definitely reduced my stress level.

My best friend from Winnipeg was here for 4 nights and she absolutely loved everything.

The pool is also amazing; a large clean heated outdoor pool. So relaxing.

Thank you for making my stay here very comfortable.

Spent a week here on a business trip. Room was good, had a little kitchenette which was great for being able to make some meals at the hotel. Close to airport (yes you will hear the planes but not loud enough to disturb you) easy walk into Sidney. Free breakfast a benefit. I would describe as practical, value for money and would definitely be staying again.

The person who checked me in was very helpful and friendly, when i called him regarding the noise in the other room immidiate action was done.

For a 2 star hotel we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless and modern, roomy and quiet. The breakfast was good! The staff was friendly and efficient.

A bit of trouble to start as internet was not working. Management solved that with a small price adjustment, thank you. I found the staff very helpful especially the new staff Itay at the front desk and the friendly cleaning staff that thanked me for staying there. Thank you again. I look forward to a return visit

Nice and spacious rooms and TV's have Chromecast capability which is absolutely wonderful good location with lots of food options around.

The room was so noisy that I could barely sleep. It was as though there was no insulation in the walls or the ceiling. The staff was excellent and the gentleman who drove the shuttle to the airport in the wee hours of the morning was outstanding!

Front desk staff were very accomodating when yellow cab and bluebird taxis were both very cranky about taking a "short haul" fare to the ferry. It's a 10 min drive but I waited over an hour for my taxi- and the front desk even made a second call for me about 15-20mins after I called. Heads up to book the shuttle in advance and plan accordingly as taxis in the area are ROUGH and there's no rideshare on the south island.

Otherwise they offer basic, clean, no frills rooms with a decent continental breakfast.

Stayed for a night. Room very clean. The best thing is they provide shuttle service to Airport and Ferry every hour. Being near Hwy, very noisy and disturbs the sleep.

Very clean, comfy bed, pleasant staff. Our room had a fridge with a separate freezer section, very convenient. We had the handicap room with a walk or roll-in shower. Very well located for the airport and the ferry as well as shopping very close. We'll be back.

This hotel is way over priced and loud. If your trying to get a decent sleep it is impossible in this hotel. Doors slamming and people stomping around all night and morning maid vacuuming outside out room at 8am after we had a long night of traveling. Absolutely no consideration for the guests. Complete waste of money. Should have slept in my car.

The Travel Lodge Victoria Airport is a down-market, worn-out property – at upmarket, “Vancouver Marriott” rates.

Recommendations for guests:
• Stay somewhere else
• Don't wasting time or energy on repeated attempts to get your room serviced. Desk clerks will demand you justify your request – and then your room may never get cleaned anyway.
**Instead of pursuing less revenue and providing service guests deserve, management continues to hide behind the pandemic excuse for diminished service at steep rates
• Bring earplugs. Paper thin walls + consistently noisy, inconsiderate guests = day and night disruptions. It is NOT a peaceful hotel
• Do NOT accept a room near the pool. Think: screaming children, running around the courtyard for hours at a time
• Bring cleaning and disinfecting supplies. My room was dusty, dirty, with few indications of being thoroughly cleaned
• Be sure to pack your tolerance for loud, 2: 00 am drunks and barking dogs

Recommendations for property management:
• We are in year three of the pandemic and it is time to cease relying on Covid as an excuse for diminished service while jacking up rates. Or, STOP chasing the same revenue. Block off rooms so you can actually provide the guest services you are supposed to, with the staff you actually have!
• See image attached to this review of the overloaded electrical outlets and extension cord. Fix electrical hazards to ensure the safety of guests
• Consider mowing the lawn growing out of the side of the rundown building (image attached)
• Consider images on this review as examples of how much work and cleaning the property needs
• Use some of the astronomical rates you are charging to pay someone to use a can of WD-40 to every (squealing) door hinge on the property
• Stay a week or longer at your property. See it from the perspective of guests. Experience firsthand:
o One – only one – washer and drier
o Only three hangars on the wire clothes rack
o Bright, disruptive lights in the room including the clock radio, TV cable box, and microwave oven, drapes that fail to block bright courtyard lights, and a large gap under the door that required a pillow to block. No one would ever put up with this in their bedroom at home. However, guests are asked to pay for it in hotels
o The continental breakfast is not worth walking downstairs to the basement service room. At the nightly rate, there should be a full breakfast bar with made-to-order eggs!
o Limited television channel options

The Travel Lodge is located near the Victoria airport and there are very, very few available rooms anywhere in Sidney during the high season. So, the property gets away with offering a rundown motel for crazy rates. If there was any choice at all, I would have moved hotels.

Great location. An older hotel but very clean. The pool was great and coupons for adjoining restaurant were appreciated. Great shuttle service to the airport. I would definitely stay again.

Rooms were fine, pretty average quality what you expect for the price, nothing amazing. Location was convenient. Staff were excellent, never encountered any rudeness and any issues we had were accommodated. There was free breakfast which wasn’t much, but it was nice in a pinch. Had to choose this in a pinch after having issues with another hotel, and I would probably stay again if I’m in the area.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel, and this time we took our Auntie and Uncle who were visiting from the UK We had such lovely clean rooms, it's walking distance to downtown Sydney and there's a pub right next door! The front desk staff are wonderful and I'm going to want time of day it is they're always happy and pleasant. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Well maintained, clean, relatively reasonable rates and close to the airport.
The breakfast is of limited variety, and the breakfast room is too small.

Pleasant stay in super clean room. Surprisingly good continental breakfast. Staff excellent. Older rooms and some street noise but quiet after nine pm. Really nice stay

Great comfortable stay. Super central to walk anywhere and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Love the cookies with the coffee!

$305 plus taxes and fees for one night.
Very thin walls, heard unpleasant sounds from room next door. Room and bed are ok but the white lace curtain has turned yellow and is dirty. Bathroom is nice but was dirty. Would I stay here again? Only if I had no other options. See photos of dirty, damaged bath and yellow curtain.

This deserves no stars. The room was FILTHY. There was hair in the bathroom and bed. Bathroom was not clean at all. Bed sheets had not been changed. Did not stay! The management is completely dishonest and do not take responsibility for the horrible condition of the hotel.
Booked through Expedia for TD. Never again! I am still fighting to get my money back even though I did not even stay in the room due to the unclean conditions. Worst hotel I have ever seen.

No hooks for towels in the bathroom, breakfast not great, doesn't have the juice machines. Everything has a weird layout.

The maids will steal your things!

I happened to leave my water bottle and AIRPODS in my hotel room. They were both in plain open sight and we’re both said to not be found? Therefore we’re stolen by the maids. I recommend not staying at this hotel as they will steal your things. It’s very unfortunate as AirPods cost 250$$. Do me a favour and don’t stay at this hotel.

Pros: An easy, efficient check-in, and the room was clean and spacious. The bathroom provided a clean space, towels and soap, as well as a hair dryer, and a TV sat in the main room. Wifi was available.
Cons: Parking lot was packed and was a tad confusing to navigate at night. The room felt either too hot or too cold, as the AC unit blasted cold air when on, but then turned off, the heat could be felt under the bed covers.
Overall, a good stay, and the staff were friendly and professional. The hotel has quiet time after 9pm to accommodate its airport staff guests, which is greatly appreciated. I reccomend this hotel, as it is near the airport, and is simple in design and a pleasure to stay in.

Me friend and I felt it was a bit overpriced to stay a second night which would have been a Sunday night so we moved on to Victoria.
But everything was clean and comfortable, the pub next door is nice to stop in at four a pint.

I stay in room 422 for one night and slept fully clothed on top of the covers and heavily debated leaving or even sleeping in my car. Wifi is constantly cutting out. Excessive amount of pubes all over the bathroom floor from the previous people staying in the room. Lamps in the bedroom were two different colours. One was a warm yellow light and the other was a blue cold light making the room look super ghetto. Bed sheets seemed as if they were not changed after the previous people staying in the room, bed had black hairs and lint all over inside the bed and on the pillows. Spider webs EVERYWHERE, even had a hole in the wall which looked as if there was a spider nest or something inside it. Holes in every wall inside the room one was even stuffed with toilet paper. Bathroom light fixture was broken and looked as if it was ready to fall off the wall. Gum on the carpet I got my foot stuck to. TERRIBLE PLACE WOULD NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF IT WAS FREE.

The hotel wifi continues to cut out constantly, hotel staff are abrasive when calling for a shuttle pick up despite having a room at the hotel, beds are old and crunchy and hotel staff members from housekeeping will walk into guests rooms even with a do not disturb sign on the door. Not recommended as a hotel worth the stay.

Clean room and everything works. A good basic room if you are not looking for anything fancy. There is a door at the end of the lower level hall that you can go out of and walk a few meters to the Dickens pub next door. If you are the poor soul in room 134 (last room next to the door), you will.hewr people going thru that door. I had to get up at 3am flight and kept getting woken up by very loud people going thru that door. Ask for a room upstairs if you are sensitive to noises.

Stayed here in January to catch flight out of Victoria airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was basic and clean. Breakfast was included as was parking for the week.good location and shuttle to the airport.would recommend this place ad a stopover anytime.

Decent place to stay, if your get it at right price. Was chosen mainly for the free airport shuttle. It's in a good location. It is near stores and restaurants.

Staff were EXTREMELY helpful, professional and efficient. Room has all amenities, pub and all amenities nearby as well as an amazing breakfast.

Convientently close to the airport with a friendly staff that helped me out when I was looking for a last minute place to stay with my dog.

This is our go to hotel when flying out of the area.

Close to food and grocery. Parking is ok. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

It is a good hotel. (Hard to find) the only complaint I had was the toilet kept filling through out the night? Woke us up.told the front desk in the morning. (No comps? Just a thanks for the heads up? !

Comfy beds, nice courtyard and very pleasant staff. Some rooms are noisy on weekends and you can hear airplanes every night.

Great breakfast, extreamly friendly staff. It's close to a lot of shops as well as the ferries and airport, so great for travelers. Comfy beds and clean rooms.

Nice little kithenette. Friendly, helpful staff. Older building, but well kept, with fairly new looking carpet, furniture and fittings. No attached restaurant, rather a public house.
